Ey same issue with Golf 6 TSi , bought it from this Indian dealer but he never told us that they once fix the gearbox and we had to fix it twice for R60k then was for R40k then we sold it…if only i knew that we could have bought a new reused one 😢
Have been buying cars from auctions since 2007 and with the way car prices are, I don't imagine myself ever buying a new car from the dealership. Bought a car earlier this year from auction as a non runner. All it needed was two ignition coils to start and run. I haven't even serviced it yet😅.

Yeah mechanical reliability is most important...a broken down engine will leave you stranded ...a sagging hoodlining or dents and scratches wont leave you stranded😂
Hi how does one get hold of u, i have problem with my polo lifr 2022 model, gear 1, 2 and reverse are not engaging properly, went to vw coz its still under warranty and they are telling me stories that i must pay 17k coz the clutch is damaged, so i need a secons opinion on this and a diagnostic report would really help
Hi Mumbo. VW quoted me 30K for a 2018 VW Jetta DSG clutch including labour to install it. How come you can find a clutch for R7000? Is that for an original part? Maybe I must just come to you and save some money.
Would have been more informative to have seen how much did VW quoted you because they gave me a quote of +R70k for gearbox of a Polo 2016 Tsi but I got a 2nd have for R3500 lol...
