The reason Greg never shows up in any other game is cause he fought for his freedom then took his beast form and made a career out of it. He has a life so he don't need to fight anymore. He even tried to get Yugo to go with him. This is his first and last game he appears in.
That's the lore reason. The practical reason was because he was a black guy in the japanese version and the western publishers werent comfortable with the only black dude in the game a gorilla.
@@SpawnAlSimmons-1987 I take it the "weird character" is because his presence in the game is very random, he doesnt have any compelling back story / relationship with other characters. Also unlike the other characters, he had no strong reason to fight in the game.
