- Went out to one of my favorite spots with the beast of a 1/10 (or more like a 1/9) Brushless 'Basher Buggy' RC Car, the Kyosho DBX VE 4WD, and a large Awanfi 2S 60C 5000 Mah. Compared to the 2S battery that I usually run it with, this really rekindled the buggy!

If run with a 2S, this one really needs the extra amps, since it is a quite heavy aluminium chassis buggy with a large low kv motor and large wheels/tires. Definitely the largest 1/10 buggy I have. It now has plenty of torque to get around even on the rough terrain like here, without a need for a 3S. I like to keep this without too much top speed. I must say I love running this buggy and my experience with it was one of the reasons for getting an even larger 'basher buggy', the 1/8 Arrma Typhon 6S BLX v4.

Hello Mikael! It was fantastic to see the final edit, from watching the raw edit! Just the perfect mix of full-speed and slomo footage, you did a great job my friend! It was nice to be able to see the beauty tackle the terrain when slowed down, when flashing past the camera at high speed it is really hard for my old eyes to see what is really going on - but the real-time also gives an excellent impression of how fast this buggy really is! Wishing you a lovely weekend, mate! :))
Thanks, Mark! Yeah, did change some things. This was much too long, but I wanted it to fit the music and couldn't really find a suitable place to cut the music short :-) But, yes, in the first three minutes I think the combo of slo mo and real time was suitable. I really prefer a mix too, or even just slo mo, compared to never seeing the car, but just a flash past the camera :-) It's really keeping up the speed even on rough terrain like this, with the low gearing (10:1 or something) and the large tires. So it's not that much quicker on road. Really all about off road this one :-) Hope you are having a great weekend, Mark.
What a beautiful car. The body shape and color are epic looking. I love how it cuts through the tall grass. Thanks for sharing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yeah it’s such a cool looking buggy! Thanks a lot for watching
Nice Mikael you are really putting this kyosho thru the paces great shredding brother 👍🏻✌🏻😁🇺🇸
Thanks, Brent! Hope you are having fun with your Kyosho too :-)
@@NordicRC I always have fun my friend maybe to much sometimes lol
RCing is fun 🙂 Even when they break or give you a hard time 😂
Very nice run session and video. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks and thanks a lot for watching, RC ModSquad! I had fun!
That car is amazing I could of never thought that a car like that would go as fast as that
It’s a cool Kyosho. Love running it. Not super fast (low gearing and low KV brushless motor) but it has super torque that helps it run nearly as fast off road as it does on road. Thanks a lot for watching, Szymon.
Nice run dude. And nice edit too
Thanks a lot, Tibor! I had fun with this rock'n'roll edit :-)
Love your video and you put complete information also. Nice!
Thanks, bro! Yeah, I try, if I have the time, to provide the specifications etc. as well. Thanks a lot for watching, bro.
Nice bash bro!! Hope you have a great weekend rcing ☺️👍👊
Thanks, my friend. Hope you are having a great weekend too :-)
Really nice video! Great buggy! I liked and subscribed with the bell on! :)
Thank you so much for watching, commenting and the great support, Max!
@@NordicRC Anytime 😊👍
AWESOME video as ALWAYS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks a lot, Dustine!
Bro Your Videos are Simply Outstanding 😱😱😱 fantastic Buggy, I always enjoy every minute as always, 👍🥰👍
Thank you so much, my good friend. I could say the same about your videos 🙂
Really good looking buggy
Yeah, love everything about this one. Thanks a lot for watching, bro.
Nice run bro. And I look forward to HPI vs. this Kyosho.
Thanks, Milos! Yeah, fun, two very different models that shouldnt really be compared. My kind of fun 😂
That did look a lot of fun. My only issue with Kyosho had always been spares. But we do have one under the stairs might had to dust it off at sometime.
Yeah, love running this buggy. Always great fun. Ahh, I haven't broken too much Kyosho to start worring about spares ... yet. Nice! Would love to see that Kyosho on your channel, Mal.
Sweet buggy and great music!
Thanks a lot, Dan!
Excellent final cut Mikael. You edited around the music really well. I have only tried this a few times, with only medium success. (my "New Forest Bash" video being my better attempt) I find it difficult to find the right music, (length, style, tempo etc) and also fitting in suitable RC clips for the change in tempo etc. It can take a lot of pre-planning and is very time consuming, but also very rewarding when it works out. So congratulations on this video my friend. I know how much work you have put in to it and it shows. As for the Kyosho, beautiful describes it perfectly as far as I'm concerned. Have a great weekend my friend 👍👍😊
Thank you very much for the kind words, Derek. Yeah it takes some time. On this one I quickly arranged some slo mo for some music parts and normal speed for some other music parts. That’s one way to save a little time. But yeah, sometimes it’s hard to find the right music and music length. Sometimes I cut the music too. Not on this one, so it drags out a bit. The video could easily have finished 2 minutes earlier 🙂 So I an struggling too as you see. But if one doesn’t want to spend 3 days of editing time one just needs to make some compromizes. I love your videos and find inspiration from them 🙂
And have a great weekend too, my good friend.
@@NordicRC Wow ! Thank you very much Mikeal. What a fantastic compliment. I actually went back out once and shot more footage because I didn't want to cut a track down lol. I didn't think your video was too long. I was too busy enjoying it to notice the length.
Great run with this kyosho Mikael :)
Thanks a lot, Michael! Rock’n’roll 🤟☺️
Great vis dude love the buggy
Thank you for watching, Ghost! Love this one too. One of my favorite bashers.
Nice little buggy, love it.
Yeah, love this little one. Great power even on 2S. Thanks again for watching and the support, my friend.
Thing is a beast!
Yeah, even on 2S. I just love running this one. Thanks a lot for tuning in, Ben.
Nice kyosho buggy, moves nice with the awanfi battery...they are good packs for sure!!
Definitely great batteries. So far they have been working great. I know you got some too 🙂
Ran great like a champ.
Thank you so much, James!
Very cool buggy 😊👊🏻
Japan at it's best :-) Thanks my good friend.
Great rig! Man that would some ride if you were in there.
Yeah, so much fun! Uhh, yeah, well, could be fun, but if I had to be in the car I think I would find another more safer way of driving :-)
I really like this buggy, it moves good, I like the Awanfi batteries, I got a NIMH, 3s, 6s awanfi n work well
Yeah, I remember you also got some. Should be getting some 3S Awanfi packs for the Typhon too, but they are delayed in the post. But they sure work good and are excellent for this one. Love running the DBX. Thanks a lot for watching, bro.
Cool video brother
Thank you as always for the support, Duke!
@@NordicRC your very welcome
Very nice video❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Another great vid,keep it up!
Quick question, this or the wl toys a959b
This.
Hi Gayatri! Thanks a lot, mate. Uhh, I would have to pick the Kyosho DBX VE then. But they are really un-comparable. The DBX is more like a 1/9 scale where the A959-B is more like a 1/18. But I love them both :-) The A959-B is much faster though, in terms of top speed on a 2S.
@@NordicRC thanks, it's always great to know that your comments are being read☺
Sorry if my questions are a little stupid I just began this whole rc car thing, I don't even have one yet!
Your vids are a real help though
Ps do you mind telling me why you prefer the kyosho dbx?
@@NordicRC I'd like to add that it would depend on your budget. If you're looking for affordable speed, a959b and the metal upgrades are cheap if you want to go that route. If you don't want to tinker around with it, if you have the cash and want to just drive it straight away, the DBX would be the way to go.
Not seen a stupid question from you yet, Gayatri, so don't worry. I still consider myself a newbie. Well, I got a special love for Tamiya and Kyosho. That's the main reason, So a very personal reason. And even though I LOVE running the smaller ones, it's great to be able to run a 1/10 buggy (my no. 1 passion) with big 1/8 wheels/tires and plenty of power (even on 2S) off road. The smaller ones can struggle a bit with rough terrain like this (sand, grass etc.) That's also one of the reasons I recently got an Arrmma Typhon 6S.
Sehr cooles Auto 👌😁👍mega Musik 🤘😀🤘
Thank you very much! Vielen Danke 🙂 Love to watch and run this buggy
Nice vid! I really like the wheels and tires, are they the out of the box ones? I should looks for a set of these for my buggy 1/10
Thanks, Benoit! Yeah, with these giant tires it can go where a 1/10 Truck goes :-) These are stock tires but the wheels are from a DBX Nitro version. The stock VE are white. I think they are 12 mm hex, but axles on the DBX are much larger than on most 1/10 (even if Kyosho calls it a 1/10 it's much more like a 1/9) so I am not sure they fit.
@@NordicRC Thx, keep up the good work matey. :)
Thanks, bro.
great video ....i just got team associated tc4 stock ... my turning into a drifter w/ muscle car body ... cant wait tell next video ...later
Thank you, Troy RCman! Nice! I’ve never tried an associated but would love to one day 🙂
Kyosho... We dont have Kyosho shops in Finland anymore...
Not many around here neither. Luckily we got Tamico.de and other places :-) Greetings here from Denmark, half-Finnish/Danish :-)
👍
Thanks for the support, bro!
Guys, anyone i need help, i dont know the name of a part on metal upgraded wltoys a9*9 front hub carrier, its shape like a hat 🎩 for the screw, looks like bushing and shim combined, can anybody tell me...any help i would really appreciate it
Thanks, regards
Hi yeri. The manual have all parts and hard ware listed with part numbers and everything.
Nordic RC Visions it sure does but not for the metal upgrades mate...i tried to search and i think its like this rivet nut or insert nut, without the thread
Anyway thanks mate, i really appreciate it :)
Ahh, sorry, I missed the ‘upgrade’ in your first comment, so I misunderstood.
@@NordicRC no worries buddy, all good 😄👍
I'll try to go somewhere next city and find a proper store that selling all goodies that i need this Sunday
Wish me luck 😇😀
Good luck :-)
