  • After what seemed like an eternity of anxiously waiting...we finally received the call that our new trailer was ready for pick up!
We recently sold our 20' gooseneck and decided to get another bumper pull trailer. We ended up finding an awesome manufacturer in Braddyville, IA that sells directly to the public and they make a BEAST of a trailer on top of that.
We went with a 22' split deck gravity tilt trailer with a GVWR of 14,000lbs.
16' of the trailer tilts, while the remaining 6' is stationary.
Hull Porter Trailers manufactures all kinds of different trailers and even custom builds them to customers request!
    Their website is:
    pullhp.com
They also recently opened a shop in Florida as well for anyone down south that would like an awesome trailer at an affordable price!
This trailer had a few options on it, including a tool box in the tongue, a skid steer pallet fork pocket in the side, and a hydraulic cylinder lock.
This trailer also comes with a 10 YEAR WARRANTY on all welds and the treated lumber used on the deck.
It also has a 2 YEAR WARRANTY on the Dexter axles, the wheels, AND the tires!
We looked around awhile for a good replacement trailer for the gooseneck and this one was an easy choice!

I have to HP trailers, a 14 ft dump and a 18ft car hauler. By far the best built I have owned and I drove from western Pa to Iowa to get them and still SAVED over 1500.00 including the trip to go get them vs anyone local.
    Great trailers!

That’s a great savings! Ours has held up well with using it for construction daily.

Hey David, sorry I didn’t get back to you right away. So far the trailer has been awesome! No complaints whatsoever. Built strong and quality. This trailer was around $6200 out the door with options and spare tire included.

How is the paint holding up from this manufacturer? I am looking at this brand.

Hey Fred, the paint is holding up well in most places, but with the somewhat frequent gravel travel that we partake in with doing construction, some areas have had the paint chip off quite a bit and some surface rust has started already with winter salt/brine mix that Iowa uses. We will be touching it up over the winter. Not sure if other manufactures do a different painting process that may hold up to the abuse better or not. Thanks for the comment!

just found your video and got really interested in Hull Porter trailers. you might know, I live in Florida and when I called them, they were closing down Florida location and taking inventory back to Iowa. I am really contemplating making the trip which is about 20 hours to get the trailer I want at a fair price. I am looking at the E/T full tilt, may I ask why you chose the partial tilt over the full tilt? Or is that gravity vs electric tilt?

      Hey Matty,
Thanks for watching! I forgot they had that location in Florida for a couple years! As far as E/T vs Split deck gravity tilt, it really just depends what you plan on using you trailer. We primarily use ours for hauling construction equipment and our skid loader, so the gravity tilt works well as you can load and unload the machine with one person. You also have room in the front of the trailer to keep a tool box or fuel tank strapped down and it doesn't tilt with trailer. If you plan on hauling cars or things of that nature, the E/T model would work great IMO. The only thing we aren't impressed with on our trailer is the paint job. We paid additional for a custom color and living in the salt belt, after one winter it has a excessive amount of surface rust on it. It looks like they didn't prime the metal prior to painting so that would be something I would ask about. Living in Florida you should be fine though.
      Cheers!

For $400 you can make that into hydraulic tilt. At 6:10 in your video, I see a hydraulic cylinder with hoses already under the deck. The only thing you'll need is a $300 hydraulic power unit and a car battery. That's how I converted my gravity tilt to hydraulic tilt ua-cam.com/video/H9QSyFtWMWA/v-deo.html

Awesome video! Looks to work pretty slick. We just use this to haul our skid loader primarily so gravity works fine for us, and easy for one person loading. Thanks for the comment and sharing your video!

This configuration is 3100 lbs. I have not verified that personally, but that is what the title says. Hope this helps!
