Dude! That was almost as much fun to watch as it was to participate in. We’ll done to Shane and Savage Custom Creative for all their efforts in producing such a quality product
Love the format of the show and having a RUBRIC to allow the makers to shine on different aspects. All the contestants are an inspiration to this new maker. 🔥🇦🇺
Love seeing Aussie makers not just in the show but watching along too! Such great camaraderie. What an awesome bunch of people. Well done everyone involved! And all those people who are just starting out- welcome down the rabbit hole....
Been waiting for this since it was announced, thoroughly enjoyable. Loved the banter between the contestants and judges and just how involved Shane and Nick were with the contestants constantly giving feedback and checking how they were progressing throughout the competition. Eagerly awaiting part two.
A truly authentic Aussie knife making show!!! The laughs being had and all the contestants and judges interactions came across as genuine and sincere!! So keen for the next episode 😁
That was awesome. I really like the fact that the show is more focused on the actual work the smiths are doing instead of trying to make it overly dramatic like a lot of competition type shows do. Plus the fact that it's Australian is a bonus too. Well done guys
Loved the fact all contestants got to hand in a finished knife for testing. Actual information of what and why things are done is great for us beginners. True blue Aussie knife show complete with bottle opener.
Love the fact that is all Aussie makers and that they’re offering each other advice and support. Loved the suggestion of adding a bottle opener when Steve was drifting the lanyard tube hole
*THIS SHOW IS EPIC* Raw, uncut, honest work. Brilliant. Love all the interactive footage between judges and competitors, and thorts and processes that we all get to to see. Cheers
Well done guys. This format is great!!! Everyone got to show what they can do and how they work around problems as they arise. Good fair competition. I felt like I had almost as much fun watching as the smiths had working. Can’t wait to see the antics in the advanced round
Well done guys on an Australian first. I really liked the knowledge shared by the judges and their interaction with the contestants throughout the whole process. Looking forward to the next ep!
Well done folks. Some lessons to learn, but I'm sure you're on top of them. On the plus side the skills of the smiths were able to shine and the judges made some good calls.
Good work. Its great that you guys chat to the boys about their ideas and techniques throughout. Good luck with the success of this. Give the yanks show a run for their money
It actually did too! ❤ 🇦🇺 All of my work is made with Aussie laminated steels either at home by myself and primarily Jezz at oblivion blades laminates 🤙
Great first video, loved it! I appreciate the longer form (guessing it will be 1.5h total for Ep1) and you made good use of the time. I enjoyed the dialog between judges and contestants, and I also liked the details provided during scoring.
Loved it so much went through google password recovery process just to be able to comment :) Well done all around to contestants judges and the production team. Looking forward to more.
Well done to all that put the show together. Going to be an enjoyable series to follow. Also a bold move on the judging table. I dare say all those blades are sharp enough to create a memorable scene if they knock the edge of the glass. 😂 Keen for Episode 2!
After watching forged in fire and never seeing them properly temper a blade , I just saw them quenching. You brought me back to reality. well done. Such an important step!
After finishing watching, id like to say that as someone only a few months into knifemaking, this was really cool to see. So far my experience with the Australian knife making community has been awesome and its really demonstrated in this also. Cracking jokes, helping others out, teaching and explaining and nobody seems to have a too big ego. Keen for next episode, I just wish there could be some editing done to get a better look at the awesome creations when scoring them at the end. Good work all who are involved. 😁
Great to see an Aussie bladesmith show. I especially like the hosts comments about each process along the way, really helps a novice like myself learn how the experts do things! Looking forward to the next episode!
I’m an American and I’m watching this on the 4th of July. I really like the production quality of this video. I also like that the competitors get to tell the judges what they’re thinking during the process of forging. I’d be super excited to see you guys make more episodes of this. Good on ya.
Loved it guys! Was great that we got to see more of the process with some explanation along with some banter. I really liked how the scoring was done to, that there was points and an explanation on how that was decided from each of the judges, rather then nay or yea like some other show..... Also that all the guys the got the chance to go through to the end of the comp rather then getting voted out. Well done, and can't wait for the next one!
Nicely done production lads. The standout for me is the vibe, very chill even though its a competition. The way it should be. Distinctly Aussie and very cool. It was tough seeing Rob eliminated though.
After a very long time, heres a great show / competition! Looking the fact that its a competition and stil Rob being Rob is helping out others! #BELIKEROB Great job putting it together Shane. Looking forward to the rest of the series! Cheers!
Dude! That was almost as much fun to watch as it was to participate in. We’ll done to Shane and Savage Custom Creative for all their efforts in producing such a quality product
I loved watching it with everyone made it all worth it
Love the format of the show and having a RUBRIC to allow the makers to shine on different aspects. All the contestants are an inspiration to this new maker. 🔥🇦🇺
It's much fairer on the contestants and allows for some strategy
Love seeing Aussie makers not just in the show but watching along too! Such great camaraderie. What an awesome bunch of people. Well done everyone involved! And all those people who are just starting out- welcome down the rabbit hole....

Forged In Fire got me into blacksmithing... It was fascinating. I can't wait to watch this and see more about the process.
I watched the shit out of it when I started as well
Excellent display of sportsmanship about the craft not the competition
That's what we wanted to focus on.
That was awesome. I really like the fact that the show is more focused on the actual work the smiths are doing instead of trying to make it overly dramatic like a lot of competition type shows do. Plus the fact that it's Australian is a bonus too. Well done guys
Exactly what we were going for show off the contestant work and get more people interested in the hobby
