Because chlorine as more protons even though it's atomic radius is more but where as hydrogen as 2 atoms and small radii but electronegativity is more chlorine because protons the electron

Tomorrow is my exam please someone clear my doubt if electronegativity is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the charges then how come chlorine's electro negativity is more in the case of HCl when the atomic radius of chlorine is more in comparison to that of hydrogen
