Its amazing how many times Gilbert, eas a guest on this show! Either Gilbert Gottfried or pat Cooper, must of held the record for most appearances on this show( both if them new yorkers), so that made it easier, they just popped in and out!
Wig liked GOP's ideas back then - anti-immigration, tough on crime, low wages for the poor, no taxes for the rich, anti-welfare, etc. The only difference is that he was socially liberal, liked abortion, was anti-church, etc.
Howard deserves a lot of credit for making Gilbert’s interviews so great. He knows and understands all of his obscure references to Bela Lugosi and George Jessel, and I’ve never heard Gilbert laugh so much in *any* interview. I watched Gilbert on Joe Rogan, and Rogan didn’t get any of Gilbert’s references, it sucked.
I think the date on this one is wrong, as they’re talking about the Republican debates which were late 1999 or early 2000. I can’t work out the actual date though.
Gilbert reciting all the classic horror movies, what a legend
The Paul Lynde reporter 🤣🤣🤣
"Oh my goodness!"

Rogan is a stunad of the first degree
Gilbert never breaks kayfabe. Would've been funny if he just said he was a GOP voter to rankle Wig.

To be fair Howard had a lot of practice interviewing Gilbert since he basically asked him the same questions every time Gilbert was on the show, haha
Exactly. How could Howard know of the references that were on tv every Saturday for 30 years.

I'll check it out when I get home. I think you could be right - probably 2000.
