I went here with a couple of mates, not too long ago. About 3 months give or take, we didn't plan to go there, we were just taking a trip through the Coromandel and ended up in the town ship, took a right instead of a left and ended up here! And it was fantastic.
I saw this railway in the "Off the Rails" TV series and managed to ride it sometime in the late 2000's. Also remember taking a steam train in Kawakawa, a small train going up to a dam above Auckland, one at a Gold Mine, and the one near Dunedin.
I've heard that the dam line (out near Waitakere, I believe) closed a few years ago. As for the gold mine one, I'm guessing that's the Victoria Battery Tramway near Waihi.

I haven't been to DCR since 2015 but I have some excellent memories of visiting this place with my grandparents in 2006(?).
I also found the weird spinning thing at the park quite amusing. Keep up the good videos mate.
Very tranquil where the railway goes.
Very good video mate must go up there if I go up that way the late Barry really did make a nice railway

@@DC4260Productions I think you are right about Waitakere and Waihi. Too bad about the dam line, it was a beautiful area.
