You expected me to believe, every word you said but now those words are dead You told me all those lies realize I've been through it before today I could of tried to say I love you and you know that I'm always, thinking of you I don't know know why love had to die (scream!) I don't know why love had to die You told me all those lies realize I've been through it before I've been through it before I've been through it before
The band The Plagues were from Lansing, and soon changed names to The Plain Brown Wrapper. But the label Fenton Records was not. They were based in a small town north of Grand Rapids where the owner had a recording studio, many regional bands went to record there and some had their recordings put out on Fenton, others would come up with their own label and self-promote and distribute, often just selling them at their shows. The Plain Brown Wrapper made several records (several at Lansing Sound Studio on Spirit and their own labels) and played one of the first weeks at The Grande Ballroom, Detroit.
Very cool. I'm born and raised in Lansing. I used to hang with Chuck Sweitzer's nephew Dennis. Met Chuck once or twice. The Wrapper were legendary around Lansing.
Came here because of your cover, both are killers, Paul, hope to see you one day in Mexico playing for the people who feel 'stuck in the past' too. Keep it real man, and thanks for the music.
Thanks Reyes, I've been busy with The Higher State and Suburban Homes this year, but there will be a new solo album in summer 2017.... stay cool brother.

The singers voice makes this one stand out plus the fact it's a total mind masher
Could you imagine if these guys had access to today's studio technology, back then? They were talented songwriters.
Sounds just great as it is - raw and unfiltered. CHOOON.
It is perfect, it can’t be topped
one of my all time favourites.
