Bikes seem to be becoming so complicated these days. Yes, I know that tech moves on and improves but sometimes I long to go back to the time when bikes were just simple, beautiful objects that were easy to set up and maintain myself. I know that retro bikes are available but they're very much a niche market. That said, this bilke is definitely a beautiful object.
Unlike mechanical cables. It’s highly unlikely you’ll ever get to replace a Di2 electronic cables or junction box. Since the electronic cables has no moving parts. The only thing you’ll service regularly is topping up the hydraulic fluids. The Di2 battery when it eventually degrades.
Internal cable routing for sure is a matter of taste. It gives you a very clean look though ;). If you're more into classic cable routing this might suit you: ua-cam.com/video/MpJg5fiwOWU/v-deo.html
Thanks for the nice video... brought me though a particularly nasty zwifting session ;) I actually got a Xelius Frameset myself. Do you have any building manual? Because mine came with just the usual useless general bike manual, but with zero instructions on how to build the bike up (sequence, torque settings and so on) and apparently the vendor doesnt have one either. I wrote to Lapierre but they have not replied so far and I am starting to get a bit frustrated. So any help would be much appreciated!
excellent video, does anyone know where I can get that handlebar? It is not on Lapierre's website and I really want to buy it, is it produced by Lapierre or another brand? If anyone has any information that would be great, thanks.
Nice build and thanks for the part list! Surprised to see a "standard issue" di2 battery, I would have expected a lighter one (i.e a smaller or even a non rechargeable).
@@roadbikechannel thanks for the info. I have no intention of purchasing one since I'm just a recreational cyclist. Seeing you use that tool for a precise set up put a smile on my face, because it'll take me some time to get my fitting correct as all I have access to is a measuring tape and a plum Bob 🤭🥴 God bless.
@@eliteharrington7377 This is usually used by pro cycling teams as they need to build lots of bikes for lots of riders and they can't keep calling for the pros for a bike fit every time a new unit of theirs is built. So they just use their latest bike fit data and this rig to set up their fit for every new bike built. This equipment is not targeted at individual consumers.
You really should address the bottom bracket issue in a comment; talk to the company about it or something as it reflects badly on the company if they can’t get something right on a bike for a pro rider. I would expect some slop in the tolerances occasionally but if it’s for a pro just like electronics you tend to bin them.
Some true words there. Power loss in the bottom bracket is a serious thing. Personally I think it's interesting to see how the pro teams deal with it (or don't ;)).
Hmm... that's hard to tell. The complete bike equipped with Dura Ace is 7.299,- EUR: www.lapierrebikes.com/de-de/o/xelius-sl-90-disc/ The Team-Edition might be more expensive though ;)...
Wow, but not in a good way. What happened with the bearings in the BB? Mine is spinning better with the chain connected 🙈🙈🙈 Also weighing the components of the bike. Come on its a disc brake it wont be light. Look at the weight of the wheels! 😯😯😯😯
One of the most Tranquil tea breaks I've ever had at work ..... thank you.... she is beautiful!!
Great you like it! :)
weird satisfaction seeing pro bike actually heavier than mine
especially when you think about that it's probably twice as expensive as your own bike
Happens the same to me!
Same here, mine is from 2013. Some parts are even shimano 105.
Bike industry BS makes you believe we need disc brakes🙈🙈🙈🙈
Great you like it! :)
@@roadbikechannel great video btw
toujours la classe le père BOUVERET....
I like your videos,All bicycles are equipped in a very beautiful and clear way,I wish you success in this work👍👍👍
Merci, c'est magnifique, quelques minutes à rever👍

All these integrated wires and tubes are giving me nightmares when I think about fixing issues on the bike by myself

Il est magnifique franchement
This bike is amazing🔝🔝🔝
Great you like it! :)
So freaking heavy even with tubulars😬
Lighter might be possible ;)...
with pedal.
È una bici magnifica ❤🎉
i like that Cockpit: Lapierre UD Carbon stem/bars unit, where i can find it?

Super machine
Soooo beautifulll...
3:50 uuuuh hambini better not see this...
Lots of Hambini fans out here! ;)
It pains me to think about all those Di2 wires rattling around inside the frame and stem.
Wow the rear wheel with disc brake weighs 1427.5 grams that combines with almost two Tim wheels rear and front..
bellissima
Fantástica 😀😎👍
Great you like it! :)
Lovely bike , but not at all impressed by the spin test at the cranks - came to a stop very quickly !
I wish they sold this bike in the US
Please.. what is part no. battery holder (housing) is? thank you.. (if i change from mechanical to Di2 group set) thank you...
supernice frame except that's sound like misalignment bb.
may I asking for the brand of direct mount derailleur hanger ? I have a aircode FDJ 2021 and I am searching for it
Красивый
What's the name of the apparatus used to establish saddle height / fore and aft ???
It's a bike-fitting tool by bikesetting.com ;)

@@roadbikechannel Ok love you vids
I cant believe they re still stuck with 11spd and wire
Seems to work for them ;).
When 12th speed 10 tooth cost you about 6 watt more in new top clean well lube condition and even worse in other condition, Why gonna need that?

when could be the frame bought?
Heard that is around next year
Not sure about this one. You'll probably have to ask your local Lapierre dealer ;)...
So pretty but im too broke and heavy
Great you like it! :)
I want to own it!
Great you like it! :)
Yeah im open for sponsorship... If you want... Im so desperate for that
Pm my fb acc
Dwight Niño Ocaña
I guess you'll have to ask Lapierre about this :D...
@@roadbikechannel where could i possibly chat him? Like im so desperate
