The funny thing is sure their are characters like Beyo in smash 4 or Steve in ult that just they are A and S tier for a reason they’ll net you cheap easy wins but I still did beat a beyo in smash 4 with jrs incarnation in a stacked tourney then I just think thoe that as games age if you know how to play a unique character not many know the matchup to you can go far I just feel like melee is a game u gotta know like 3-4 characters marth fox/falco falcon and like sheik if u know how to play a unique mid tier or even select low tier like mewtwo really well people aren’t gonna expect it I really respect pro players n guys like axe who just spend their time playing low tiers rather then flexing their skill with a character like marth tourneys can be a lil different but I really respect it I like playing joke n low tier characters it’s the community only playing high tiers that make me switch to a high tier ever but I still think we just know these matchups cuz u have played against a million Samus or links etc in ultimate u just know the matchup inside and out I can’t even imagine how conditioned veteren melee players are to the Fox n marth matchups

Is Mewtwo actually a good character or is it just Leffen's which is broken?
mewtwo is actually kinda decent but most of it is leffen
Mewtwo, game and watch and young link are kinda the most capable low tiers, with roy and link close behind. Mewtwo's main problem is his massive hitbox especially with his tail, and iirc he's kinda light so he dies early. Game and watch can't l-cancel most of his aerials and his shield is almost useless. Young link is pretty formidable but has a lot of trouble finishing kills and loses pretty hard to both fox and falco.
I'd say mewtwo has the most potential of the 3 but not many people at all play him.
