- The nanny convicted of killing two children left in her care in their Manhattan apartment was sentenced Monday and will spend the rest of her life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Yoselyn Ortega murdered 6-year-old Lucia Krim and 2-year-old Leo Krim inside their Upper West Side apartment on October 25, 2012. She learned her fate after emotional impact statements by the victims' parents.
Mother Marina Krim told a judge that Ortega instead destroyed her own family. She said Ortega has shown no remorse, and no one in her family has ever said they were sorry.
Kevin Krim, the father of the two children murdered, also gave an emotional impact statement.

To the Krim family, I am so sorry for the evil that entered your lives and took your beloved children. Your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
17:00 the nanny is SLEEPING during the father's impact statement. What a disgusting monster, inside and out. Also, the father wrote an incredible and emotional statement. I hung on every word. God bless their family.
As someone who was raised in a daycare, stop deluding yourself that a babysitter, nanny, au pair, etc. will treat your child the way you would.
Smart strong parents ❤
I’m so sorry to the Krim family 😔
💧💧🙏Heart is so break 🙏💧💧prayers for you 🙏🌹🌹
Sanctuary city New York City.
Bil DeBlasio and Andrew Cuomo and AOC.
don't make this an issue of immigration, has nothing to do with that.
@@etrnlygr8tful Your responses are goofy. 🤪
@@Khultan I only made 1 response before your "goofy" remark.
Everywhere there are people who commit crimes, and in some places and times, they are not held accountable. Here, in New York, this woman got her day in court and was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. Timothy McVeigh was a homegrown, American heartland-born murderer, not a New Yorker. One of many. Such generalizations and smears of public figures of a political bent one doesn't agree with are simplistic inanity.
@@ileanasantamaria2364 Your reasoning is clearly biased.
Nanny was framed
How🤷🏽♀️?
Go back into your hole, troll.
Yup
@@beksterjewels453 please tell......how she was framed.
You are truly a moron. There was never a question of who, just why?
lulus dad did not protect her . lulus dad still thinks its not his fault. sad.
Are you crazy? How in the hell did he not protect them? He is a working man. Do you know any father or mother who can be with their kids 24 hours a day? I don't... that's because that's an impossibility for the best of parents. That's why they hired a nanny. Did you not hear the father and mother? She deceived them into hiring her...under a shroud of lies and deception that the nanny's family all participated in. This is a good father and they're clearly a loving, caring family raising wonderful children in spite of the tragedy.
I'm sure that we all wish her character and narccissiim had been exposed earlier. I personally can see it all over her. But, maybe because I too was a nanny for several years on the East coast, and like their daughter LuLu I have always been very intuitive about people. Unlike this monster, I loved my kids and their families...and many years later still do. It breaks my heart to hear this testimony, and I pray that God will be with them and strengthen them until one day they may be reunited with their kids again. May God heal their shattered heart!!! ❣️😇🙏
PS. Does anyone know how long this nanny worked for the family before she committed this heinous act?
@@debidevalois4881 two years
@@milagrosferah3350 Wow, that's crazy that they didn't see more signs in that time period. I guess the parents must have had alot of trust in her.
He was litterly out of town, he physically could not protect his children.
I still can’t stop thinking of this family.
