Awesome episode Dave! So cool seeing Fred. I miss seeing you guys doing stuff together. It would be cool to see a yearly OG dirt heads episode! I'd love to see you guys build something together again.
Unreal is killing ultimate. This is the footage we always wanted. You and the official channel are doing such an awesome job. I’ve always wanted to go on a trip like this and this definitely makes me want to build a rig one day.
Fred to the rescue...... with the camera. THAT was some incredible rock crawling and scenery! The Jeep did great, which is a tribute to your fantastic build and the way you handled it through the entire U/A! It looks like everyone had a great time.
i love 4x4 vans but what Tiger goes with his is just insane. Remeber DED episode with the old dodge van i belive it was. That think had been fun to se on Unreal
How about a teardown review of the new rig now that the adventure is done? Pluses and minuses, how did the new tyres work, future upgrades, stuff you would have done differently. I think that would make for a simple and great video. As always, much love for what you do Dave. Michael in Toronto.
My wife and I were on that same road in Colorado down lower when a side by side rolled down into the creek, about 300 feet. Was not good. Tame road until you let your guard down
I've had a soft spot in my head for that Van for several years now, but man I love watching that little Toyota doing it's thing. It's just so simple and elegant.
So cool to see you wheeling through my neighborhood on the Western slope of Colorado. I live near Aspen and Independence Pass, but you can’t go wrong anywhere from Leadville to Ouray. Great series about the UA.
I've watched the U.A since 2001.. it seems like a loads of fun and an awesome adventure not counting the memories.. I would love to my group together and us do a small version of this.
It's been soo awesome to see your content and production value improve. Keep up the good work! Keep sharing your knowledge and experience with us! Super valuable!
Wow love too see so many different Trucks,Jeep,Van swapped SUV BMW X5 and a 4x3 (rear locker fail)Jeep ha ha. i am impressed many Trucks not cutted in the rear and there also Trucks with big SPUA lift springs. The Van get more "compact" from obstacel too obstacel ha ha! Very entertaining!
TDS, This was a lengthy episode but there wasn't a dull moment👍👍👍👍👍👌. Excellent crawling. Those boulders are huge. Its hard to believe that the vehicles survived through all the trail. AU should be rename to Unreal Adventure Tour since it took the participants through the Southwest states of Arizona , New Mexico, and Colorado. Nice to see Fred in the mix. JTThing did an excellent job👍. This is a good promo for Milestar tires. Thanks for taking the time and effort to share us all the excellent footage. Looking forward for the next episode.
Love the added perspective and love the day-before-UA rig. Give warp stabalization in premiere pro a try. Itll help with the shakey footage without a gimble
I’ve tried the post production stabilization and it just gets weird. I just need to chock these videos up as a loss and buy another camera for trail rides
I remember last century when 35s and a rear locker made for a respectable rig. Now where'd I put that double birdie Pirate smiley guy? :) O used to wheel FSJs so dig the variety of stuff on this trip.
Nice video format. Im glad that you try things the way I do. At level 330 I pretty much know where I will end up in TT. So I will spend only a little time trying to get tenths unless I'm near next bracket.
Dave content is awesome! Watched you on the sent and bent podcast you should definitely do a video of behind the scenes stuff when you worked on dirt everyday.
@ looks like what it lost in the name it made up for in other areas, definitely a bucket list item for me! I’m gonna try my luck applying for 2026, we’ll see how the rubicon goes next summer after my Jeep is put back together!
What an awesome video !! Thanks for bringing us along while you run these crazy trails w/ one hand on the wheel and one on the camera. I understand it's easier said than done but why not just hard mount a few Go Pros on the rig for these trips? Not complaining , just curious . Epic Trail indeed
@@thedirtheadshed I didn't think of the editing side of things and balancing work/ home life is important. Thank you for bringing us along Dave !! I appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos ! Some of those mountain shots are so beautiful. It must seem unreal being there trying to take it all in.✌
Nice to see Fred too
Good times
Fred's camera work is hilarious
He’s funny
52:15 "I put that Dana 60 in that thing.....then I got really bad diarrhea"
I love Fred 🤣
Awesome video Dave! So happy to see you and Fred back together, been waiting two years for this moment! Thanks
I’m gonna have to just show up at his house and drag him on an adventure
@@thedirtheadshedI’ll give you a dollar if you do that.
its so nice to listen to a competent person talking about 4wheeling without promoting trash! See you on the trails my friend! Southern CO here!
Thanks for following the channel. I agree. Too many people trying to overreact to everything
You go out of the way to bring us along with you on your adventures...we appreciate you Dave!!
It is for exactly this reason that I love a Detroit Locker - they always work and have just enough slip to still turn.
I like them too
HECK YES!!! Friday with Dirthead Dave!!!! Thanks for taking us along!
I appreciate all of you guys following along
I legit cheered when you gave it the beans to get up that first waterfall around the 21 minute marker. Way to be a frickin bad ass!
Literally LOL'd @ "GETINTHERIGGGGG!!!!"
Ahhh man, such a good vibe in this one.
It was a great week
No coffee was harmed in the making of this video!
I’m always ready for more coffee
You should hook up with Grand Thumb. Build the ultimate apocalypse 4+4.
Awesome episode Dave! So cool seeing Fred. I miss seeing you guys doing stuff together. It would be cool to see a yearly OG dirt heads episode! I'd love to see you guys build something together again.
Good to See Fred!!
Yep. Need to meet up more often
Unreal is killing ultimate. This is the footage we always wanted. You and the official channel are doing such an awesome job. I’ve always wanted to go on a trip like this and this definitely makes me want to build a rig one day.
Thanks so much. Get to building!
So stoked we made the video! It was great meeting you at Animas Forks. The UA videos have been great!
Glad you’re enjoying the coverage. It was a great trip
Fred to the rescue...... with the camera.
THAT was some incredible rock crawling and scenery! The Jeep did great, which is a tribute to your fantastic build and the way you handled it through the entire U/A! It looks like everyone had a great time.
Man the Express van going through this stuff all the time still blows me away.
It’s wild what he does with that van
Great adventure and loved all of the videos. Wish I was there. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching the videos
@@thedirtheadshed They were all fantastic. Many thanks to the one-hand adventure driving especially on a 9-level trail. You are the man.
Those views were awesome and I never knew about the steel balls used for rock crushing.
I didn’t know either before this trip
i love 4x4 vans but what Tiger goes with his is just insane. Remeber DED episode with the old dodge van i belive it was. That think had been fun to se on Unreal
Tiger is a wild man
Look forward to ur content every week!!! We do that all n Wyoming!!
I appreciate your support!
How about a teardown review of the new rig now that the adventure is done? Pluses and minuses, how did the new tyres work, future upgrades, stuff you would have done differently. I think that would make for a simple and great video. As always, much love for what you do Dave. Michael in Toronto.
Love seeing square bodys . Everyone has a jeep something Xj k2 ys2 lj so many to list. But square body yes.
Yeah. It helps to be different in a sea of jeeps
Great video Sir! Nice to see Fred in his natural environment......and Colt too. I'm lovin' the Flatfender almost as much as the Orange Truck Thing!
You would have made it pretty easy I’d the rear locker would have been working. But you made and saved the rig.👍
It came away with pretty minimal damage! I was happy about that
My wife and I were on that same road in Colorado down lower when a side by side rolled down into the creek, about 300 feet. Was not good. Tame road until you let your guard down
Yeah. Those shelf roads are scary. I’m not a fan.
So nice and great feelings of seening you with Fred again. I got goosebumps.
Hah. I wish we got to hang out more often
I've had a soft spot in my head for that Van for several years now, but man I love watching that little Toyota doing it's thing. It's just so simple and elegant.
It was SO good. Makes you want to go back to the basics
Love your commentary of each rig and the drivers!! LOL
Looked like some epic mountain scenery to play in.
It was perfect timing!
An hour Dirthead Shed?! Absolutely! Happy Friday, Dave and thanks!
Have a great weekend
I love that your Jeep Truck thing is so new to you that your out wheeling it on UA with a temporary plate. Hey its Fred.
Yep! It was a quick build
I'm most impressed by the red Ford truck that in theory shouldn't be out there going were Jeeps go.
Yeah. That truck worked extremely well
Holy Crapanoid those views were spectacular
Fred’s got great trail, intuition, and skills
He does. He’s a better driver than me
So cool to see you wheeling through my neighborhood on the Western slope of Colorado. I live near Aspen and Independence Pass, but you can’t go wrong anywhere from Leadville to Ouray. Great series about the UA.
You are in a great area!
Great vid Dave!! Good work on the jeep truck thing too! Looks like it worked well and didn’t give you too much trouble
Surprisingly few wrenches turned on it
Always stand up wind of the convoy!
I've watched the U.A since 2001.. it seems like a loads of fun and an awesome adventure not counting the memories.. I would love to my group together and us do a small version of this.
Make it happen!! It’s not easy getting big groups together for this sort of thing
@thedirtheadshed I've tried sir.. they just don't exist in my parts apparently.. not having the stupid FB probably hurts me but oh well..
🦅🇺🇸💪😎👍 man you guys were in some beautiful country. As always great video thank you
It was such a perfect time of year for it!
That was awesome! Hope your rear locker is ok 👍
It’s fine. I’m pretty sure I was just not giving it time to engage. E lockers aren’t at fast as air lockers
Your Jeep truck turned out great, it kind of reminds me of a LJ.
I really miss the Dave and Fred team 😢
Same
Same!
@@thedirtheadshed Me too
Same same
that last obstacle was wild!
It had a big tumble down the mountain factor going on
Man this was a fun watch. Heat stroke and dust mixed with a bit of trail madness make for the best lols.
It was a great week in the Jeep
Thanks for bringing us along Dave, I still love your Jeep.
Great video. Loving the content on this trip. Looks like a blast, even for the cronies.
It was a good one! Not too many days away from the group like years past
"oh, your coffee!" needs to be on a coffee mug merch item
I do need a coffee shirt of some sort
Those rocks are amazing!!! Bummer on the locker! This video is Walter approved!!! Wicked awesome!!!
The locker problems were really operator error
It's been soo awesome to see your content and production value improve.
Keep up the good work!
Keep sharing your knowledge and experience with us!
Super valuable!
Watching the views grow keep up the good work my friend!
I also hear Fred filming love you too!
You didn’t need the winch but better safe than sorry!
Thanks so much for helping the channel grow
That climb was wild
Dude!!! Great movie!!! It much me 2 days to watch!!! Camara work was the best!!! Even Fred's work!!✌️

Great video buddy my daughter and myself enjoy your videos I don't think we've missed one yet keep putting the content out there
Loved the colab with Derek you did on the 34 ford with the 4 link. Bee following you ever since. Love the content!
That was a great week. I need to get back out there and button some projects up
Hell yes!!the little Orange JKT is awesome, even without a rear locker.
Good work Dave! Now I'll watch!
Thanks
Great video! A friend of mine by the name of Rob Manders lives in Montros, CO. He teaches his daughters how to drive his buggy's on Die Trying!
That’s some good living
This UA is great, longer episodes and behind the scenes from a couple few guys as well
Everyone stepped it up this year
Great video dude, wished you lived closer so we could wheel together more😎👍
Yeah buddy, that was fun
GET IN THE RIG!!!😂
Hahah. Got to keep the camera guys on their toes
Wow!! Super Capable Orangeness!!!! great stuff there!!
What an epic trip!

Right on. Glad you’re enjoying these videos
The Jeep truck thing is working well, Dave. Good job. Keep the content coming.
Thanks.
Looks like it will be a fun adventure! 🎉❤
It was, can’t wait till next year
I remember last century when 35s and a rear locker made for a respectable rig.
Now where'd I put that double birdie Pirate smiley guy? :)
O used to wheel FSJs so dig the variety of stuff on this trip.
I’m ok with wheeling less capable rigs than these. It keeps it fun
@thedirtheadshed That wasn't a knock or criticism of any kind. Just a cheeky comment on the caption in the thumbnail.
Nice having fred in the commentary lol good job
Nice video format. Im glad that you try things the way I do. At level 330 I pretty much know where I will end up in TT. So I will spend only a little time trying to get tenths unless I'm near next bracket.
I think you’re commenting on a drag race video..
OMG. It changed to the next video before I finished my comment.
Love your stuff, even the MTB videos. It looks like you are having fun.
best off road vid ive seen this year!
Thanks!
It's going down !!!
Can’t wait for next year
Purdy rad Brother..
Jeep Did Truck Things and More Purdy Good...
Your v8 sound effect made me laugh. Nice video Dave!
Dave content is awesome! Watched you on the sent and bent podcast you should definitely do a video of behind the scenes stuff when you worked on dirt everyday.
That would be fun. Need to drag up some
Old photos and clips
30 seconds into the new video, Bingo! RAD. Take a sip.
You’re gonna be hammered
Those trails looked nasty the jeep seemed to work awesome
It does really well!
🍻 Cheers 🍻
Cheers to you
Vern's truck is still my favorite 👍
It’s really good
That was fun Dave thanks for sharing and bringing us along
What an awesome trip!
Nice gas station rigs!
A good lineup
Fred's great people, but a camera man gig might not be his strong suit
True that
I was just in Silverton on our 10 day. Did the million dollar highway on our way home to Pa.
I love the Little orange JKT…
Thanks! It’s a cool rig
Great job. Build a Chevy!!
Maybe next year
All you broke was a sway bar link? That’s pretty impressive!
Yep! Stoked for that
I didn't know Fred was there. I don't remember seeing him in the UA channel videos. Got to get the Dirtheads back together more often!
He showed up halfway through the week
Hilarious bro! Trying to name power plants.
Such a rad video
Thanks mark
absolutely unreal, because it is the unreal adventure! 42:58
The new name lost a little of the old cool
@ looks like what it lost in the name it made up for in other areas, definitely a bucket list item for me! I’m gonna try my luck applying for 2026, we’ll see how the rubicon goes next summer after my Jeep is put back together!

Your locker did kick in all you need was just a bit more right foot and you had that
What an awesome video !! Thanks for bringing us along while you run these crazy trails w/ one hand on the wheel and one on the camera.
I understand it's easier said than done but why not just hard mount a few Go Pros on the rig for these trips? Not complaining , just curious . Epic Trail indeed
I should do that, but it definitely makes editing more of a challenge, and I don’t really have more hours in the week I can dedicate to editing
@@thedirtheadshed I didn't think of the editing side of things and balancing work/ home life is important. Thank you for bringing us along Dave !! I appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos !
Some of those mountain shots are so beautiful. It must seem unreal being there trying to take it all in.✌
Day four!
4-7!
I use the DJI pocket 3 for 80% of my videos. The ability to sync the DJi mic2 to it alone with no extra receivers or wires is worth it by itself
I’m about to head to bestbuy and pick one up
Hey brother. Love, Dennis(drunk)
Have a good weekend Dennis
