I did this type of stuff in my younger days....cutting off mufflers and such... Remember would sound great for couple of weeks than you get tired off it. One thing that's sure and kind of rare is that if you remove the just the rear muffler of e90..it would actually sound great...had it on my 330i.
I can vouch for this, the 3.0L N52 with no secondary cats, no resonator, and no muffler screams and crackles like crazy as they all come after the o2 sensors which means no tune needed In an automatic, it can be really quiet as a daily driver but when you step on it you can really hear it and downhill it just lets out gunshots especially in sport mode or downshifting

Hey, Londoner here with an N53 325i, I’m trying to find a workshop or shop where they fabricate/sell the catless headers… where did you get the primary cats deleted? One exhaust workshop said because of the steering column it’s a tight fit for 200 cel primaries so instead I should straight pipe the primaries and chuck in 200 cel cats where the secondaries are at the moment.. did you also have to code out the Nox sensor?
Is this mod without secondary cats okay for mot? Does the extra sound cause any issues on mot? got a 325i coupe myself and looking to get rid of the secondary cats and maybe a better sounding backbox
@@msl64183 if you’re asking if it will throw you any codes the answer is no. But like emissions and decibel standards would vary based on where you live.
