Neat! This was the cast I saw in London! Wilhelmijn was the best Elphaba I've ever seen life with an AMAZING voice, but Glinda held her own without getting overwhelmed. Very cute and funny, and pulled off being sad really well. There was a mourning to her I haven't seen from most others, who focused on being super-kooky until you didn't really buy the sad bits as much.
@@hannahmark8718 Neat! She was happy when I told her I could tell she was mourning the wicked in the opening number. "Oh, thank you- I'm so glad that reads!"
Big props to Suzie for going from doing the show in an American accent for years all around the globe to then switching to a British accent for West End. It’s not easy to change something that has become muscle memory and say every line in a different way and I feel like this needs to be acknowledged. Not to mention that she’s actually Australian which makes this more impressive.
Yes she did this in 3 different languages. I am proud of her ! She did this role in Dutch her own language in German and in English and I think she is the only Dutch musical star to do it in English so 👏👏I am so proud of our 🇳🇱Willemijn
