- I had to rebuild my s369 turbo because it was leaking oil out of the front cover.
This is the kit I ordered S300 Turbo Rebuild Kit Turbo Lab... www.amazon.com/dp/B00M9NIYPY?... - Авто та транспорт
Good content haven't seen that done before. Proud father of twin 366s also.
Good luck thanks for sharing the info.
Appreciate it 💪🏾 I was going to rebuild the whole thing but I know the journal bears were good. Two more snap rings and those bearings would have been out
Good vid
💪🏾💪🏾
I always wanted to own a borg
The S475 BW I had never had a problem. Owned it since 2014. No oil leaks or shaft play. And I brought it used lol.
@@boostinwillie wow, nice
Thanks for the vid. It’s not complicated, but nice to see somebody run through it first. I’ll be rebuilding my s366sxe’s tomorrow.
You think yours was leaking into the compressor housing? Mine is leaking oil from where the turbine housing meets the center section.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾, yep it was easier than I thought. Good luck buddy!!
Was urs smoking out the exhaust as well? Mine is starting to get that blue hazy oil burning looking smoke
How are they holding up so far? Ever since I had to send mine back for turbine wheel replacements, they have leaked ever since. Im tired of the shipping mess, the long wait time, and the $$$ spent to end up with the oil leaks not fixed. Good video
I recently had to rebuild the other one because changers to a high pressure oil pump and it didn’t like that at all. But this one holding up good.
great video sir im about to do the same thing but i have a s300sx3 looks similar to me quick question am new on this turbolifestyles lol i like to know how can you prevent this issue i didnt put a resistor on my turbo and if i need one can point me in the right direction thanks godbless you
I put a restrictor (nitrous jet) in mine now. I actually brought the turbo smart regulators but I found the nitrous jet works better. I’m using a a #62 jet
those turbos look way oversized and look like they are barely spooling. then agian its a gas motor. probably only need about 5 psi. good video might be getting a Rebuild kit for my borg warner 369 SXE. just to be safe instead of sorry. it lives at around 1100 degrees and pushing 70 lbs of boost.
I leave on around 8 psi and ramp it up to 25-30 psi
Was there a gasket for the compressor housing?
There was In the kit, however my turbo did not require it.
Are the main components all the same? I see rebuild kids from $45 to $120. Wondering if there is a quality difference
I’ve only done two. But it looks that way. I’ve using the $100 kit off Amazon. From Turbo Lab
Where was it leaking oil which side of the Turbo and it did it fix the leak doing
At that time the front. And it stopped until I put a high pressure oil pump on.
@@boostinwillie what are you going to do now put a oil regulator on it ?
I went the cheap way and put a nitrous jet in there as a restrictor
Did it have a seal between the intake housing and its base plate?
Originally no
@@boostinwillie awesome i have this s362sxe i took the cover off to drill the boost port hole and noticed no sort of seal, it is a pretty tight fit i guess thats what seals
@@jasaircraft yeah some have a seal. The rebuild kit I brought cam with one
Mine have leaked since new
You fixed it or it runs fine ?
So did that fix the leak?
Yes sir, it’s good
@@boostinwillie good deal. I am skipping my friends running in old school back half at XRP to come see you at the Motorplex so you better be on point... lol
@@oldschoolbudgetracing1458 correction I’ll will make all Chevrolet, 3rd Gen owners, and all the LSswapped cars proud!💪🏾 lol
@@boostinwillie I will bring my mullet hat so I can get a pic of you wearing it next to your camaro.... lol
