- A huge thanks to @intaminofficial for sending us this glorious POV footage of Mahuka at Walibi Rhône-Alpes today as Europe welcomes its first Intamin single rail rollercoaster but could this be Pleasure Beach Resort's newest roller coaster or would they go for something different like a new Vekoma?
Mahuka, meaning “escape” in Hawaiian, invites visitors to explore the heart of an abandoned temple built in honor of the God of Fire on a secluded island in the South Pacific.
But be careful not to provoke the God’s sacred fire, or risk becoming a prisoner of the temple! Escape the site, conquer your fears, and brace yourself for an unforgettable ride, full of sensations you won’t want to miss!

Dear Intamin, one does not simply fill in the gaps between the struts and call it a single rail.
It's a wider single rail than a single rail aha
Actually, it seems they do simply fill the gaps and call it a single rail, because that's what it is!
@@lancehutch you see my point though, the profile of the track is two circular rails joined by a solid mid section. The additional width adds stability and reduces rattle from tolerance.
They should’ve just manufactured it as…..a single rail
Totally agree
This could really be great for Blackpool pleasure beach to replace the grand Prix
It would, a duelling one even better!
@@LiftHillsandThrills that would be insane
No one:
Blackpool fans: this ride would be better in Blackpool
Blackpool couldn't afford a Hot wheels toy set at the moment.
@@tayo0404 I think it’s more because they’re actively looking for a ride like this or similar 😂
That seconds launch proper caught me off guard 😂
I have no idea how tyres ramp up that much speed haha I need to research this it baffles me aha
I’ve been lucky enough to go on big dipper in Sydney and loooved ittt hopefully I’ll get to ride this to!
Ah nice! I'd love to go on this but it's so out of the bloody way from most places near me. Not TOO far from Lyon though so there's the potential to visit just need to work it out! aha
Looks fun!
It does!
How much to get one of these installed in my back garden? 😅
😂 nice barrel roll over the neighbours fence
If you live in Alton you’re screwed
Great concept can see this in uk
Yup! Won’t be long until we see one I’m sure
Love this layout, looks awesome. Though id hope that the model does not rely on drive tyres and that this was just a budget option, especially for the brake run, i may be missing something here but i saw no friction brakes or brake finns, just tyres. No good when wet or in the cold, im sure intamin thought about this though. Ill have to research into the other one at Luna Park in Australia to see
Yup… they’ll get tyred eventually
I bet it would be much cheaper to make one of these at bpb to claim back the height record :)
300ft single rail. Okay that’s kind of crazy, especially one of these lmao
@@MalrusOSC it only needs to be 231 ft lol
This can’t be built too tall, they’re not that type of ride
They can’t make it that tall unfortunately
Interesting...
Very
Oooo v nice
😊
A little short no?
Longer than Hyperia 🤷♂️ aha
you caved in 🤣are you getting that free trip?
I’m off to America for my free trip instead, 6 days to go!
237ft tall??
I think just ‘operating’ is a win for most other coasters currently
Bad decision for them not to want an rmc..this country needs one badly and surely word of mouth from non enthusiasts to there friends and family after trying would have people flocking there (plus obviously the likes of me and you )...
Don't think parks should focus on enthusiasts... we're a TINY community. They need a product to bring in the masses coupled with reducing their ticket prices which NEEDS to happen because no matter what they add people still won't pay the extortionate entry costs
@@LiftHillsandThrills yeah that's my point word of mouth after riding an rmc would guarantee crowds of non enthusiasts wanting to try it too ..whereas icon for instance I bet some people go home and don't even mention it to anyone as it is a bit underwhelming...
@@timduncan9745 Hmm you;d still be hitting that price barrier though.. paying that much to get into a park like Pleasure Beach is actually mad
