Wow! I love how the little details are considered and that beauty and elegance of design detail is at the forefront of Bonsai expression.

While the video no doubt has all the information required it lacks the character that make the Herons Bonsai videos so special. We thourougly enjoy hearing Mr Chan speaking to us with the sounds of birds (and airplanes) in the background while being able to take in everything the nursery has to offer in the background. While I do understand that this format may be easier to use at times when you want to get a video out, I hope that we will be back to the old format we know and love soon enough.

Flaxen you are totally right! I miss hearing Peters voice and personality in the audio. Another thought is that many people who are visually impaired can not enjoy this information, but when Peter explains it, he explains it so beautifully & thoroughly that you can imagine each part.

This is another useful video from Peter. I have also been finding Peter's books useful too. Specifically, but unrelated to this video, I have just verticaly scored the trunk of my Chinese Elm to encourage it to swell. I read this in Peter's Bonsai Masterclass book.

This os always great thanks... I wonder if you could make one about the ferilizing routine at the nursury.

I think I've watched every video on this channel by now he did one on watering and fertilizing wasn't specifically about the nursery but he talked about how he does it for all the trees

I found this channel a few days ago at 3am completely hammered... the next morning I went out in the woods and found some tiny maple trees. Now I'm just waiting on the wire and other seeds I ordered.

The mesh for needle pointed works just as well, much cheaper than bonsai products. Have fun!

Mosquito net works well too. It’s so cheap that I don’t bother cutting small pieces for each hole. I cut a piece as big as the bottom of the pot and it doesn’t even need wires.

No guys. It's a decent vid, but realizing that you have some UA-cam support has put you in danger of screwing up why I subscribed. I want Peter's wisdom, I want Peter to wear his casual-at-work shirt and speak to me as if I visited Herons.

How can I stop water from spilling all over the place through the drainage holes when I water it? Do I have to put something under the pot?

A plate wouldn't be a bad idea, but before spending the money, try watering more slowly. Consider the water retention and the soil mix as well, as this could be a factor leading to this issue.
