Great video. Two points of clarification. 1. Raspbian was renamed to Raspberry Pi OS, last spring I believe. 2. There are inline cables you can get that add a power switch for the Pi4 and Pi 400.
It’s been said before (@M S) and this is to be constructive... This setup feels like you are crammed into a little space. Get rid of the plant and go back to PIP (picture in picture) when showing screens. Some of the finesse feels lost since the move.
Thanks for the great video. My Raspberry Pi 400 initially had sound and today the sound doesn't work. I changed the HDMI port on the Pi 400 and now the sound and video do not work. Can you please let me know if you think this is a faulty keyboard and I should return it or is there another way to get this working. Thanks a ton.
Good memories with the Oric come to my mind. I'd velcro that power cable to the unit, though. EDIT: ah, the power cable wasn't plugged in. How good is the keyboard quality, by the way?
No. Like all RPi's the memory is part of the board, and the RPi 400 board is it's own form factor with all of the ports on the back side and the GPIO is at a right angle to the board so it exits the back of the case. The RPi 400 is it's own beast.
I generally like Chris' videos, but this one is late to the game and rather cursory. The RPi 400 was thoroughly reviewed two months ago by all the usual players, including a full examination of the internals.

kinda reminds me of the all-in-one computers of the 80s, like the C64 and similar.
yeah, thats how old i am :-(
Pro trick : watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@@andrewalvaro1000
erm, what does that have to do with my original comment?
@Andrew Alvaro yea, been using Flixzone} for since november myself :)
@Photo Bunny i used to have a couple of amigas :-)
Would have loved to see it with built in M.2 capability
the plant crowds you.....:)
Got mine first week and love it. Already have retropie and amiberry set up and backups taken...
If offered with the 8gb option I am all in.
Chris can you make 1 video, tossing out all boxes, that will be awesome :)

It would have been great if the RPi 400 used the CM4. It would have given an upgrade path rather than just a hard wired one-size-fits-all model.
Great Video as always!!!
Is it POE capable like Pi 4???
upvote for the Dead & Co video

Thanks for this great video
It would be cool to move the internals to a commodore 64
orange it is.
Very good and funny videos bring a great sense of entertainment!
My pi 400 won't reboot its on the same black screen what do I do
love it, thanks!
Fn F10 for power switch another video shared.
the first booting problem with pi400 is no audio. it needs a few updates in the system OS. This Problem does not appear in android or Linux OS.
My 400 has a rubber sheet protecting the gpio pins. How should I remove it?
On: Fn+F10

Can it run video games, and be like a normal os, or is it just for some things?
You can run some games😊
That's a nice price. So, it has its own OS? Sorry I'm totally unfamiliar and didn't heard about this in the video.
I like Raspberry Pi, Raspberry Pi is my favorite
I've just bought one and it's going straight back, it can't even play youtube video.
Can it connect to wifi hotspot of android?
Can a wireless keyboard and mouse be used for the setup of a Raspberry Pi 3B and Pi 4
Of course
Can you remotely connect to your tv screen like on tablets?
yes, it has hdmi
I wonder....... Could this get power, and send video to my USB-C monitor....... Just somewhat of a neat freak when it comes to wires.

Can the interior board be swapped out for an 8gb board?
Nope!
No. Like all RPi's the memory is part of the board, and the RPi 400 board is it's own form factor with all of the ports on the back side and the GPIO is at a right angle to the board so it exits the back of the case. The RPi 400 is it's own beast.
They don't make an 8gb board for it...yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an upgrade path as an option down the road.
I see old GNOME 2.0? Hmm...
I have such a crush on Chris!!! 😍
Waiting on a Raspberry pi that will handle 4k hevc.
Load it up with a Commodore64 emulator 🤣
Does PoE hat work on it?
Microsd card slot broke in 2 days
If it's a mechanical issue where the card won't stay in, there is a fairly simple fix for that.

You must be fun at parties
first ;-)
