Google tells me "Riesennachtschwalbe" : Giant Night Swallow - reading it I can definitely see some resemblance in the shape of the beak and eyes to a regular swallow.
@dragondancer1814 I know. But if we saw one of these cuties in real life everyone would name them Toothless or any other dragon from the franchise. They're so cute!

In Canada we have a similar but not quite as cute bird called the Whipperwill. Hopefully this Nightjar does not annoy the residents of India as much as the Canadian Whipperwill annoys us. Cute bird but calls all night to keep campers awake.🙄
The Whippoorwill IS a type of nightjar, so they are related! We have whippoorwills and nighthawks where I live on a mountain in S. California. I don't notice their calls anymore, got used to it. They are such cuties! When I'm walking at dusk, I don't see these birds sitting on the ground until I'm a couple feet from them and they suddenly fly away. Their camouflage makes them almost invisible.
Wish they resided in suburbia. They would be a great asset! Your videos are so informative and come in handy. A woman recently posted a pic of a monkey in the snow on social media. She asked how people felt about it for sympathetic likes and comments. Thanks to you, I immediately saw that it was the Japanese macaque. So I commented on wonderful it is that they have the hot springs to soak in. 😊
I live in Montana. We have a bird called a Night Hawk. Its mouth is the same way. I found a hurt one. I was very shocked when I first saw it open its mouth. It's HUGE!!
I looked it up.... The Great Eared Nightjar (Lyncornis macrotis) and the potoo bird belong to the same order, Caprimulgiformes, but they are in different families. The nightjar lives in Southeast Asia and the potoo lives in the Americas. I guess this is my one thing learned today. 😉

Helloo
I Wanted An Anoa Video.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Your voice sounds like you have a cold this time. Hope you feel better soon!
@@sneakyparrot6659Dilligaf.
We're are they native too? That's a key fact that should be in the video
They're almost as adorable as the Potoo.
Same family, iirc... I think they're called "Frog mouthed birds"
It reminds me of the whip poor will or the Chuck's widow's will too
I’d say equally. Adorable lil guys
Looks like a snapping turtle, squirrel and an owl and a three way….
Must be first cousins
Cutest little bird in the whole wide world
*laughs in Kookaburra*
Shima Enaga thinks your joke is not funny.
Cutie Pie. Love the tufts on their ears.
It also give me a Toothless vibe from "How to train a Dragon".
Indeed
definitely where it comes from
It’s the most Harry Potter thing I’ve ever seen!
That was my first thought, too!
This is my new favorite bird-thank you!
Thank you for watching! ❤️
Everybody says this bird looks like a dragon, but when I saw this bird I thought: brownie.
Same, from far away i thought it was some kind of cake or brownie.
Looks like a dragon 😂
U mean toothless from httyd
Like a what?
He looks like chocolate ice cream
I think it looks like CAKE
Is he a EDF player?
ok, i love this cute bird but since i'm german, youtube translated the title and apparently we call these "longear-goatmilkers" . no idea why
Pliny the Elder mistakenly thought that they would drink from goat's udders at night. Like a vampire bat, but for milk instead of blood.
@valentinmitterbauer4196 oh , wow i didn't expect THAT. thanks for letting me know, i really appreciate it
Google tells me "Riesennachtschwalbe" : Giant Night Swallow - reading it I can definitely see some resemblance in the shape of the beak and eyes to a regular swallow.
If some other kid called me that on the playground, we'd be throwing hands
That’s funny😂
Oh my, so cute. Thanks to 1 Minute I see adorable things I'd otherwise never know even existed.
Adorable and amazing
Those birds are absolutely gorgeous!
Well, we now know what inspired Toothless's design from HTTYD ( I know he's mainly based off cats and most reptiles).
It's so cute and vicious! 🐲🪶
Cat is inspiration for tothless, This one is more like dragon of chicup's mom
A newt is the inspiration for toothless, probably a cynops species like cynops orientalis.
Actually, Toothless was inspired by a cat. However, this cute bird could easily be the inspiration for other dragons!
@dragondancer1814 I know. But if we saw one of these cuties in real life everyone would name them Toothless or any other dragon from the franchise. They're so cute!
@ You get no argument from me-these little critters hit you right in the cutes!
Gorgeous and adorable bird
From the thumbnail, I thought it was a lump of cake.
I would like to pet this creature.
"Don't do that..."
Me to
Just leave then alone, nature isnt here to be your pet
Looks like a Potoo mixed with a Horned Owl😆
dragon birb
It looks like a Pokémon
- Any Poke'mon character that isn't a jerk in the TV series.
@@2dheethbarDon’t be mean
Reminds me of Noctowl a little
Typical, compare this animal to your computer animal.
It's as if Toothless had a kid with an owl ❤
😂

Thank You, God.....for all the beauty You created!

I never knew such a bird like this existed. It looks like an adorable dragon from far away.
外がサクサクで中がしっとりなチョコレートケーキに見える。チョコレートケーキバード
Looks like a bird made of chocolate cake with white icing filling or a tiramisu bird
I bet theyre delicious
Ok do you have a weight proble m?
Thanks for sharing this fascinating video featuring this beautiful Night Jar!
0:26 - It looks like that bug 🐛 on his wing 🪽 is not using super effective moves. 😂😂😂
What a Cute and Fluffy Nocturnal Predator 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🖤🖤🖤♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
This has been my favorite bird for about 20 years. I have a picture of one as the background of my phone.
They are beautiful
They're beautiful!
That's not a bird, that's a Familiar.
Wow, I don't know what to say about this. It's both cool and adorable. Can only imagine how cool it would be to have one as a pet. A bird dragon.❤🐦🐲😎👍
Wow! Amazing looking bird! 💞🥲🙏
literally just finished rewatching How to train your dragon and this show up😂
Aww, when squished, they look like a Pokémon! 🤗
In Canada we have a similar but not quite as cute bird called the Whipperwill. Hopefully this Nightjar does not annoy the residents of India as much as the Canadian Whipperwill annoys us.

In the US south, the same kind of bird is called a Chuck-wills Widow because of it's distinctive call at night, over and over again. 🌌🌙🪶
Looks like a fancy brownie
Ils sont si beaux, j'adore ! 👍❤️
It's basically Toothless!
TOOTHLESSS!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
a flying dragon brownie
Quelle créature fantastique ❤
i love animals!!!!they are so unique and beautiful!!!
ブラウニーかと思ったら鳥か!
チョコレート色の羽毛が可愛いね
Video: Bird that looks like a dragon
Me: a Pokemon!!! 😭
Its beak looks so small and unassuming, imaging being the first person to find one of these birds and it just unexpectedly unhinges half of its face.
What a super beautiful creature of nature wow every day I’m amazed at seeing and learning about new amazingly cool animals🎉❤
Wish they resided in suburbia. They would be a great asset! Your videos are so informative and come in handy. A woman recently posted a pic of a monkey in the snow on social media. Would’ve been very helpful to tell us what their range of habitat is
I live in Montana. We have a bird called a Night Hawk. Its mouth is the same way. I found a hurt one. I was very shocked when I first saw it open its mouth. It's HUGE!!
lovely slice of chocolate cake bird
That is one of the cutest Owls❤
Nightjars aren’t owls
I had never heard of this bird. Thank you for educating me.
yooo you actually did a video of this lil guy
i love this borbo
Omg it's cute❤
Cool never knew of this bird.
Nightjar? More like Night fury. Lil bro is a whole dragon.
Wunderschön. 💚💚💚💚💚
Thank you 😊 this made me laugh and smile!
Harpy Eagle! 🖤
Owl Dragon, I choose you!
It looks like Toothless the dragon!
I've got a question. Is this some kind of cousin of the potoo/ghost bird? They have the same lifestyle, eyes and mouths
That's exactly what I asked! They have a lot in common.
@IntrepidFraidyCat thank you very much!
What a beautiful bird
The Dragon Owl
They do have that look like they would be a small owl species, but interestingly they aren't.
thoe eartufts... bird convergently evolving into an owl right there...
GOSH!, There is something so fascinating, what part of the world do they reside? a real life dragon bird WoW, I thought it was a log at first!, :)
So beautiful and cute ❤😊
Toothless? Is that you buddy
Thought I was looking at a brownie 😂
"they might look cuddly and innocent, but they're ready to strike😡"
Me: 😨
"when a moth or beetle dares to fly by...😡"
Me: 🤭awww😏
I was so inspired that I created a new type of dragon for my historical romantasy!
Pretty Cute.
cute 😍
Thank you so much for once again introducing me to another animal I did not know existed. Be safe❤❤❤❤❤
Finally got a cuddley innocent podcast to watch even if it's for such a short time........ THANKS 👍
❤ I love dragons, and this little nightjar is even better than those fire-breathing lizards, because it's real!
Definitely a brownie
Small when sleeping but when starts having a meal looks like a monster. That's where the expression "my eating style is not for everyone" comes from.
So cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘
Beautiful🥰
Wow 😮 amazing
From the thumbnail I thought it was a reptile for a second. Fun little creature!
It is so beautiful ❤❤
If these look like a dragon, the Potoo looks like a ghost
Beautifull bird ❤
Toothless!
How’s it going buddy?
Usual but very striking bird 🥰.
So cool!!!!!
Woow is this real? Looks pretty cool!
Looks like what would happen if a witch turned a brownie into a bird.
That's a real mini dragon
So this is what that dude from Shadowrun Hong Kong named himself after? That sure was a... unique choice.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮 amazing
Their crest looks adorably prehistoric ^_^
When you hear this "TOK-TOR" sound at night, that's the bird.
If I had a pet bird probably be one of these. :)
