Thank you, Chi, for sharing your skills and insights on this topic. I learned something important today: I am petite and curvy, and I feel very blessed with the proportional distribution of my shoulders and hips. You're right that certain styles may look great on others but not necessarily on me. I truly appreciate this video.❤
Bags in *regbags* are quite exquisite, and the workmanship is also meticulous. There is almost no difference from the original ones, and they are great value!
As a 5"1" hourglass that can no longer wear heels due to arthritis, if I wear flared pants they look sloppy on me now. I've gone back to the tired and true Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda petite jeans. The fit is always right always right all over.
A very insightful video its interesting how sometimes people buy replicas and then pretend they are the real thing, which in a way feeds into that sense of exclusivity that discourages people from buying the real thing in the first *regbags* ! Like the drama that happened on the reality show Singles in Hell
I am shy of 5'1" and have an inverted triangle body type. Strong shoulders, bigger bust, and short waist. It is very hard to find pants, or just about anything that looks flattering on me. You've helped me determine the right styles to search for. Thanks 😏
Yes I know not everyone can afford these bags but wouldn't people want to see what other people think of the bag before wasting their money? Like what other UA-camrs have said about this bag, I bought a *regbags* and I'm very happy with my bag. Thanks to the blogger, I showed this video to my sister and now she will definitely get the Louis Vuitton bag she has always wanted! Love this kind of videos!!
Hi Chi. I've been following you for a while, but this is my first time commenting. Thank you for all of the information. I can tell you did your research. I'm an hourglass shape and everything you've said about hourglass I've found to be true.
If I had $40,000, I would buy 100 bags on *regbags* instead of designer luxury items. The money can be a down payment on a house, but it can't just be a package.
Good video! My problem is finding pants that are large enough in the waist and not too big in the hips. I have a 3 inch difference between the two. I would call myself an apple, but I look awful when I try to wear a pleated trouser. I look like a tree stump. lol
As an inverted triangle, It’s hard for any pants to make your butt look perky. I don’t have a big butt but it’s still a little bubble butt lol. Kind of.
I have a hard time even finding what shape I am, lol. I feel hopeless in the pants department. Most of the time I wear leggings and throw a oversized sweater/tunic long enough to cover my bum.
As an hourglass, I actually like flared pants the most! I find that straight leg pants can be too baggy on me in an unflattering way. Flares that fit in the hip and thigh are great and very versatile.
Chi, how do you style broad shoulders, small bust, and round bottom with thicker thighs? Legs can look short and belly area looks not flat with the wrong rise? Please help. Can't find pants that look right. 5'3", 125 pounds. Don't understand the trends and proportions look strange. Thanks for your your videos!
I'm not even petite but this was super helpful. As an hourglass, finding trousers that don't make me look frumpy is a STRUGGLE, and now I know the culprit is the lower rise! Plus even more importantly, I can now explain it to my mom who says I look fine in pants. Because who doesn't love saying those 3 beautiful words to their mom as often as possible: "told you so"? 😂
I am 5’3”, 120 lb always thought that I am a pear shape, since the fat locates on my tummy and my thighs when I put on weight. I have small breast, however my shoulders are aligned with my bottom part in terms of width. And I have defined waist. So which category I am belong to by your opinion?
Hey thanks! This is the first time I've hard my inverted triangle shape spoken of in a complimentary way, accentuating the legs, instead of just saying to hide the too-wide shoulders and top heavy bust. But I'm too much of a barbarian for white pants. I'd spill something on them in less than 5 minutes. Overall good advice in this video. 😊
ok my body is following the hourglass rules and the apple shape rules as i gain weight straight away to the belly but I don't know how this is possible...I am skinny with a small waist and wider shoulders and hips, and tall with really long and thin legs. Still my hips and shoulders don't gain any weight and the belly is my kriptonite. My small waist makes my hourglass shape pop up but my apple shape belly also gets more empasized by the small waist. Maybe there is something I am not getting or maybe I should follow the rules of the hourglass and the advices of the apple shape? I am confused 😢 Either way, great video
Try this - Stand up straight, place one hand below your bust, and place your other hand below the first. If your belly button is directly below your second hand, your body is proportionate. If your belly button is below your second hand, but there's some space, you have a long torso. If your belly button is below your hands, you have a short torso.
I found out because when sheath dresses were popular one year, I couldn't wear any of them because the waist of the dress always hit me too low. I'm longer from the waist to hip (the rise), however, meaning that pants often fit me wrong even in the correct size for my measurements. I need swimsuits that are extra long in the body because my rise is so long. So it may not be as simple as just knowing if you have a short torso or not.
@@edennis8578that is interesting! For me I am 5'2" with a short torso and bathing suits are always way too long on me in the mid to crotch area. I also avoid popular items like one piece tops that snap in the crotch that are everywhere now too
I have to say, I understand why people say they don't care about people buying fakes or counterfeit goods, or why people should care. However, people don't necessarily "care" about people who own fake goods. Smart people will buy bags at *regbags* .In fact, people who have money to buy luxury goods and invest in them do so for a reason.
I am an hourglass and I do not like dresses. Thanks for explaining why I need to be careful about the type of pants. Everything you said makes sense to me now.
The *regbags* looks still good and 1/10 the price of real one. So many people will choose fake. Since during u walk in mall or on the street no1 will stop u and check ur bag from 5cm distance to see these differences. These differences are mostly impossible to see from more than 1-2m away. And be honest. 95% of these people buy these stuffs only to pretend fancy, rich during a walk
You are probably hourglass. Apples don't have waists. There is probably a formula on ratios of bust, waist, and hip. Or you could take a picture and draw lines of your shape/contour.
Why does nobody ever have my body type. I'm built like the inverted triangle, but my shoulders are as narrow as my hips, and I'm big busted at the same time, and looong legs. And short waist. *Nothing* fits me right. If it fits my boobs, it's too baggy on the rest of me and too wide for my shoulders. If it's a dress, if it fits the rest of me, it's too tight in the bust. Since I have no hips or butt, only men's jeans fit me, and even they sag in the butt. Can't wear high waist, cuz my hips are too narrow, and my waist is too short, so my big boobs look like they're level with my waist and it looks dumpy, even though I'm skinny. I can't win.
Two friends of mine had bust reduction surgery, because their boobs were bothering them too much, and they were very happy with the result. Of course, it's a very personal decision...
Their are some realy good videos on UA-cam, boobs are a class of their own to buy a bra that fits your shape is important , full, bottom heavy, root of the breast size, if you know this it helps you buy a bra that makes your boobs look good what ever the shape, size or age.👍
Please use models that maybe weigh a little bit more. Short women that are slender (like you) are "Petite". Petites look cute in most looks. I am not Petite. I am "Short" with a few extra pounds. Thanks!
“Petite” actually only refers to height and not weight. The same tips still apply though no matter what weight you’re at. I have extra weight too and I realized it was more of me using the diff tips and finding what I felt comfortable/good in. Good luck!
I am learning so much about dressing myself thanks to your videos. Thank you for making them so straight forward and visual!

Thanks for the idea of the similar colored belt with pants!
*SO helpful* ! I am petite and apple shaped just like you. So glad I found your channel!
As a 5"1" hourglass that can no longer wear heels due to arthritis, if I wear flared pants they look sloppy on me now. I've gone back to the tired and true Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda petite jeans. The fit is always right always right all over.
That's so funny. Those are _exactly_ the jeans that I wear!
I completely agree I am 4'9 and I also have arthritis and wear Gloria Vanderbilt jeans Amanda bootcut or straight jeans most of the time. ❤

Great video! Thank you very much for the excellent tips!
I'm a pear shape & I look great in wide-leg pants.
I am 5'0" with a pear-shaped body type, and THIS HAS HELPED ME SO MUCH YOU ARE A GIFT ❤
If I had $40,000, I would buy 100 bags on *regbags* instead of designer luxury items. The money can be a down payment on a house, but it can't just be a package.
Thank you for covering pears 1st! 😂 But also reminding us that you must say no to tapered, creased and skinny jeans/trousers. Only wide legs for me ❤
So, did you skip the rest?? 😂
Thanks so much Chi, your videos are so helpful 😊 to me every time❤ i am 4'9 and a curvyhourglass. 😊

As an inverted triangle, It’s hard for any pants to make your butt look perky. I don’t have a big butt but it’s still a little bubble butt lol. Kind of.
They make special jeans and Shapewear that help with that.

Thank you😊
Hi Chi love your pick for apple ..really pretty 🙏💛🥰🍰☕️💵
I have a hard time even finding what shape I am, lol. I feel hopeless in the pants department. Most of the time I wear leggings and throw a oversized sweater/tunic long enough to cover my bum.

Same for me!
💯 Bootcut or flares with a high rise look best imo. Straight leg pants make my legs look shorter and thighs look heavier.
Thank you soooooo much ...❤

So the only option for pear shape is straight and high waste 😢

Hi Chi, how about short waiste for petit lady. Thanks

9:58 rectangular
Even if I’m short (4’10) + inverted triangle, I can still wear wide leg pants?
Thanks Chi, even I thought I was a rectangle, but it turns out I am an apple 🍎 😃 Thanks for clarifying the two!

I wish I can define If my torso is longer or short. How can I tell? Do I measure it and measure the length of my torso to hip?

Hi @ Chi Li❤
What bout shoes? What makes ur feet look small?
I am an hourglass and I do not like dresses. Thanks for explaining why I need to be careful about the type of pants. Everything you said makes sense to me now.

I feel like I’m a mix of an apple and hourglass body type. Any suggestions on who to ask, i.e. seamstress, to help me determine what body I am?
You are probably hourglass. Apples don't have waists. There is probably a formula on ratios of bust, waist, and hip. Or you could take a picture and draw lines of your shape/contour.

You should do one for lingerie, though I know it’s inner wear. But would be great to know what underwear on a body type will look good

How about hourglass but with small breasts?
