Hola Familia!
DUM RAKA TAK!!

Hello family! How about those Darbukas?
Today I show you an exercise to enhance your rolls! The importance of playing with the metronome is crucial and in this case with this exercise even more so since the objective is that a very clean roll comes out, that we can do the subdivision without leaving the metronome. But above all to gradually increase the speed. As you can see, I have used the metronome starting at 120bpm for each quarter note but if you do not reach the last progression you should lower the tempo of the metronome. That you know that it is a very important exercise both for those who are starting and those who are already at an advanced level. Take a good look at executing the exercise with a precise, clean technique, without being tense, in short, what we usually say in almost every video hehe. I hope you liked it. You know that I teach on Skype. I leave you the web page here below where you can see the Packs of classes that I offer. Ah, if you want to support me to continue uploading content, I leave you my PayPal, any donation would help me a lot. Thanks And see you in the next video! DUM RAKA TAK !!

@@OmarKattanPercussion I play the drums but I am planning to get a darbuka! Can you play like Misirli Ahmet?
I have my own style, Definitely not, he play’s with an awesome independent left hand. That’s stunning
@@OmarKattanPercussion 👍
Interesting...I notice that some who play darbuka point their L2 to the left to try and hit only the rim and yours goes straight down (which makes more sense to me). Are you hitting just the rim of the drum or are you slightly hitting the head of the drum as well? Looking forward to lessons hopefully soon.
About sharp notes, when you develop the rolls it's better to play it with at least middle part of the fingers on it, couse you have more volume. When you finish the roll you can go straight into the rim exactly what you say. This is like when you play a snare, the rolls ( usually ) they are played into the center then the last stroke you put an accent into the rim
Salaam Alaikum, and how do you hit these punches with your fingers?
🖖🏼🎵
i can do it until second 33 perfectly then - its as if the technique changes once u double that speed.. any tips on how to double it from the 0:33 part - do u change techniques to go into this super fast doubled or wht happens...
Try to go faster slowly and a lot of practice, also corrections about how to play is a must, if you consider to start darbuka lessons www.omarkattanpercussion.com
