- Very first Dyson product bought from David Jones and already exchanged three times with BRAND NEW one but all end with same result as most of the time plug in the power and turn on, the light will flash once then nothing after that.
Everytime I have to switch between power point plug in at home and occasionally it will running (then should work perfectly fine until I turn it off), but when stop and restart, the flash once issue back again.
When bring back to retailer David Jones, plug in there the machine work perfectly.
I am so confused is that my home power voltage issue? But shouldn't all place in the country share the same voltage?
I try not to refund as family members all love the dryer, it did do good job for hair dry and styling.
Anyone from Aus got the same issue and what's your suggestion?
Shall I give up and ask refund? (Which Dyson can provide but I still want to use the product)
I just bought a new one and the same problem happened even the 1st time! I'm going to return it.
i have the same problem.. just bough it 2 months ago... why is this keep on happening? and what u do about it?
Same here, never even used it!
This happen to me too!
i have this hair dryer last month and face the same problem, but i think i find out why is this happen and the solution. i find out it will not turn on when voltage output not stable, so i get a automatic voltage regulator to plug it in, and the hair dryer turn on normally and without delay.
You should try to clean the filter. If the filter is not clean, it can cause it to not work, increase drying time, or cause lights to flicker.
Guys clearly thats a electric hammer 😂😂😂
Same here, bought from Myer only for 3 months
Product is garbage. We on/off does not work. For such an expensive unit you would think they have quality control
My wife is having a similar problem with her Dyson Supersonic Professional :( ....It would sometimes not turn on at all (when cold) before being used then just come on after a few seconds. Also it would cut out when in use. We had been in contact with Dyson and the dryer was previously sent back and was returned to us "FIXED" with no info on what was done or replaced. Now for all the people that are going to say clean the filter....the filter is clean as new ....then after cleaning the CLEAN filter it still does it?? We have just installed the new spare filter to see if that has an effect. Also the Dyson tech support guy said you should clean the filter after every second use....Really???? The online you-tube video from Dyson says once a week??? The only thing now to do is to make a note of the flashing leds to work out what the actual fault code is which may be of help. Lucky it has a 2 year warranty. Great hairdryer while it is working but it is starting to become more of a pain than anything now. Lucky my wife has her Parlux hairdryer for backup otherwise her clients might be going home with wet hair :(....Anyhow we will see if if is any different with the new filter but I wouldn't be surprised it will be going back to Dyson a second time.
I had the exact same issue with my professional Dyson dryer, I went through the exact same process as your wife and no resolve to the issue, I’m sticking to parlux from now on no more Dyson for me unless it’s a vacuum!
I sent back my 1st dryer and it took 3 months to get it and I just got the new one and I’ve used it maybe a week and it’s happening again ..I’m so done with Dyson
I hate this blow dryer for the same reason. What a waste.
Hey guy you need to clean the filter on the bottom
The euro plug version has a fuse 13A in between the metal prongs of the wall plug. Replace it and it should work again.
Do you know for which Amper fuse should be replaced for U.S. Output?
Same problem... What did you do??
this has happened to mine as well!!!!!
Joanne Condopoulos clean the filter
Screw off filter at bottom of handle and clean. Mine was covered in dust! 😳
I've cleaned the filter on mine which wasn't even dirty and it's still not working. This is an expensive piece of shit.
it looks like a counterfeit
What on earth was the point of this video with no solution?
Also, this dryer is NOT garbage. It is actually AMAZING. I have had mine for over a year and now that my power switch has not been working for a couple days and I’ve had to use my daughters old hair dryer, I don’t know how I ever lived without my Dyson hair dryer.
One more thing- your machine has a two year warranty. Call Dyson, they WILL fix it or replace it free of charge and they are great about customer service.
This is the 2nd time that I have had mine do this. First time at 6 months and now 18 months later! Dead as a doornail! They are now saying since they have a salon version that I should have been using that. Well when I got it, it did not say anything about using it for work. This is bull. Why would I buy a 500 product when the same product failed twice?
I bought my one 2 years ago, tonight this is happened on me. $600 AUD product is only last 2 years. Unbelievable.
Same problem, do you find the answer?
Carlinha Gagliardi clean the filter
