It was incredibly fun watching you catch fish, so thank you everyone involved in this small spectacle. I have a feeling that kayak fishing might not be a good idea in these waters, so for the time being, we accept De Hoop Dam, which is located a few hundred kilometers to the southeast of Arabie. Fishing is great here too ...
Hi George, thank you very much! Yes, Arabie is definitely not suitable for kayaks, just too many huge crocs. We haven't been to De Hoop yet, we couldn't find suitable accommodation there, but we hope to visit it next year some time. Happy fishing :-)
Guys...this is your best video to date!!! I love that you are using google maps to show where and what, highlighting the venue is great too. It helps saffers like myself who are in the UK to know which venues to consider when next in the country to fish. Please keep it up, awesome stuff!
Thanks a bunch Bear! We will definitely continue with this format, it's what we enjoy doing 😀 In terms of Arabie I would definitely recommend it if you are in the country. Lots of fish, clean, beautiful and still wild...
Thank you! I don't think that part is open to the public, it's probably farm land. There is a camping area on the western side called Schuinsdraai if you're interested?
@@Anglinks Yes I'm very interested! I'll be passing through the area this week, so I'd just be day visiting, I'm not sure if that's permitted on any part of the dam. Thank you for the reply!
Yes you can Lee, especially for carp. Bass fishing too but it will be more challenging though since it's such a huge dam. And of course the other challenge is the population of massive crocodiles, so wandering away from the populated areas is risky.
Hi Feroze, Thank you very much! Sure thing, but can I rather email it to you? Sorry but it might be an issue if I just list it here. Send us an email and we'll definitely reply with the number.
Yup, Aloe Park themselves are separate, even though the houses are inside the Aloe Park gate. Send us a mail or give us your contact details and I'll gladly share the number with you, just don't want to share it here, it's not mine 😃

Just found you guys. Subd....watching your Playlist. Im more into bass from a Kayak but will be following you
Hi there, we subbed you as well now :-) We fish together 100% of the time so a boat made more sense for us. But kayak fishing looks awesome too!
Nice video, as always
Thanks a lot Wolter!
Great video and information! Who controls access the western side / crocodile alley, or is it open / public access? Cheers!

Can you fish from the bank

Keep them coming. Planning on visiting arabie dam soon. Could you kindly send me contact details for the lodge that you stayed at
