Great video. And, yes, I feel the same way when I drive into NJ 😂 Nice picks from York! Your videography of the Amtrak consist with the new locos was the best. Nice to see the ChooChoo Barns mobile layout... the new owners are moving the main location... just hope it retains all the charm of the current one. Listened to some of the podcast, and was good getting to know your back story a bit. Keep going!
Thanks! I didn't know the Choo Choo Barn was moving locations, seems like they are in the perfect location right now... wish nothing but the best I have fond memories of that place as a kid.
@rj.trains i heard that the original owners retired not too long ago. The Bespoke Brewery took over much of the one side of the building where Isaac's Deli used to be. I think they may be looking at updating and expanding the ChooChoo layout in a new place to be built near the Toy Train Museum up the road. Question: have you ever seen the layout on the second floor of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania? It's one of the reasons I live volunteering there. Stay good (I was gonna say stay on track, but that sounded lame even for my standards).
So admire your dedication, long drive - wow!
I feel so fortunate to only live 30 minutes away from York.
And yep it is the best train show!!
I wish I was only 30 minutes away, would make everything a lot easier haha

And what a great idea with those new LIRR cars you've gotten, a STEAM EXCURSION! There hasn't been one on the LIRR since the 1950s! Maybe you'll give them an idea?
Hey, I made a little score of my own at the Gryzboski's booth, an Atlas steam era Grand Union billboard boxcar! I remember the old Grand Union supermarket chain and knew the Atlas cars existed but every time I saw one the price was more than I was willing to pay. Gryzboski's had it priced right so home it came.
I didn't really have any "Holy Grail" items in mind for this trip but I did get some good stuff that'll fit the collection just fine. I won't bore everyone with the details.
It made my day meeting you at the UA-cam "seminar" and I enjoyed our chat tremendously. I hope the feeling's mutual. It was a good day indeed!

So glad u got an e8 in your collection, def a must have in any collection, whenever it is mth, lionel or Atlas. Got my Atlas Phase 1 E8s from Just Trains of Delaware at the Greenberg Train Show.

@rj.trains funny you mention it, I got both of them. E8 #203 the powered and #407 the non-powered one. For a ridiculously good deal since the owner of JTOD knows us well so he gave me a great deal on them. I know his name but I wanna keep it anomalous.
The best train show, is the one I skip and save the entry fee to use to actual buy something with sane pricing off the market place vs. insane vendors!
Yea that is a lesson I should learn too haha

I asked Nassau to offer the former EL tavern obs made in LIRR to match the set you have. I also have these Lionel cars and want the obs car. Lionel has this tooling. Nice job on repainting the Menards Amtrak station. I did the same thing.
If you posted about repainting the Menards Amtrak station on OGR, I 100% copied your idea haha. The LIRR EL Tavern would be nice, I know the passenger car custom run quantities from Lionel are insanely high though. I would just like a red striped car haha

Unrelated to trains, since your family has an ice cream obsession have you ever been to Krisch's of Massapequa? It's been open for decades and it's some of the best I've ever had. You should try it if you haven't already. Their food isn't bad either.

NO, not the best in fact not even average. Three rail is very old school.
That third rail in the middle is just waiting for mow crews to come and replace one of the outside rails!
