      I have two favorite Mics for my Galaxy phone first is the Saramonic Smartmic Mini UC. That mic is small and fits in your pocket so you can take it with you everywhere without any noticeable weight or bulk and when you need it you just pull it out plug it in and use it. If you need a Wireless mic check out the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B6.

      None at all for me. However it can depend on your case if you have a thick otterbox case you may not find that you can use any microphone without taking the case off however if you have a normal case something that offers standard protection I think you'll be just fine. I have the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and I have the Samsung silicone case on my phone and it works just fine. When I use my Note 20 ultra with it I had the Samsung leather case on there and it worked just fine.

    Great video! I noticed that the apple preamp is indeed weaker as when you plugged the mic to your ipad, the sound was not that loud compared to your samsung phone and tab.
    Also, before i forget. I want to ask. Is this mic good for untreated bedroom studios like mine? I am using the cheap boya by-m1 and mm1 mics with my phone and i am having a hard time filming my content as sound around the house tends to be picked up by the mic which i find annoying.

    • @TodayIFeelLike
      @TodayIFeelLike  2 роки тому

      This mic might be a little bit better because it is a directional microphone so it's only going to pick up what is right in front of it in that path of the microphone so I say give it a try see if it works any better if not you'll have to keep trying different mics until you find one that works for you. I know when I use my Rode Wireless Go 2 microphone I find that I worry about surrounding audio but the microphone just doesn't really pick it up so maybe you want to consider a wireless mic.

    I use this mic on the same exact note 20 Ultra. Have you experienced some suddent rough distorsion noises during the recording? • @TodayIFeelLike
      @TodayIFeelLike  2 роки тому

      I haven’t experienced that but maybe you can isolate it by when it happens. Like maybe there is cellular interference or extreme wind something that would cause it.

      To avoid it being any connexion issue, remove the case on your phone and try again. When you plug in the mic, Android will show a popup asking for Rode Reporter to "open the Mic using USB" and say yes. Open the Rode reporter and go to settings, check if "Configure" is present and "Rode VideoMic Me-C" is showing at the top of the app.
      To record audio only, use the Rode Reporter App and ALWAYS check that "Rode VideoMic" is shown at the top and not "Internal Mic".
      To record video, on a Samsung, you can ONLY use the VIDEO PRO mode of the native samsung camera, and click on "MIC" and it should show "USB". If it shows MIC/OMNI, then the microphone is not plugged in correctly.

      It's useless for a small venue too, even a pub..
      I found my Honor magic 5 pro handled sound far better in both large and small.
      I just use the rode app to lower sound to minimum otherwise my loud Punk rock music distorts.

      Hello Janer!
      Can you recommend an alternative? I'm a DJ and I mix electronic music. The microphone together with the mobile device would be on the table in front of me directed towards the sound monitors. Of course, it's very loud in the club...
