Glad to have found your review. The Azuma is stunning, and I currently have R3579 and R3609 in my collection. With the excellent price being offered by Kernow which you have brought to people's attention for the LNER 800, I have made up an order for several other items and will be giving them a call, to try and obtain quantity discount. Thanks for your review.
Thank you for watching! And I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the video. Yes Kernow have some fantastic offers so I’m glad you’ve seized the opportunity to grab some too! 😊👍
I'm sure these models will keep getting produced for a long time (in future rail liveries), great choice for Hornby to make the class 800 and great review by the way.
Agree it’s a fantastic model, who knows maybe on future releases Hornby will do something like accurascale have done with their Caledonian sleeper coaches and have customisable destination boards 😊
Good overall review of the hornby class 800, you must have a blown LED in the dummy car because I have one of the first release GWR ones and the top light does work, either that or some of the spring loaded contacts which I think there are four of them in the dummy car are not transferring electricity.
Thank you for the kind words! And suggestion, the cab and top light started working after I moved the model must have been the pick ups weren’t sat right or something but it all works tremendously now.
Thank you! I’m very impressed with the model as well. Well and truly in love with it. A very good runner, livery well applied and the features are amazing! Worth picking up. Thanks for watching!
I know Hornby are limited to where to put the motor on the 800s the obvious place is where the the windows are blanked out in one of the driving cars and not in one of the power cars.
@@IainDavies-z2l it makes sense for the model form but yeah I need to do more research into how they operate. Really wanting to get hold of a TPE ‘Nova 1’ set at some point but need to get saving 😂
Just seen a review of the Kato Azuma, they've put the motor in one of the power cars but blanked out the windows that shouldn't be where the motor is. So all forgiven Hornby for putting the motor where the windows are blanked.

I love the LNER class 800 they’re so iconic to see on the railways all over the uk. And thank you very much I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it! 😊👍
I think this is a brilliant model and one of the best on my layout along with a standard Azuma only let down is the destination board error

Very nice indeed
Thank you Peter I agree! It’s a fantastic model!

The destination is Carlisle ???
Yes I believe the destination boards say to Carlisle from Watford junction on the model
The outer driving cars are not power cars like an HST it's the intermediate coaches that are the power cars for both A/C and have the Diesel engines.
Thank you for clearing that up sorry I got mistaken, talking about HST’s a lot I forget sometimes that the BMU’s don’t have two power cars.
