- Today I will be comparing Edea Ice Fly's to the New Edea Piano's! Keep in mind that this is just my opinion on the skates and may not be 100% accurate!!! Enjoy!

The pianos are my dream skates but they’re too advanced for me cuz I’m still in the waltz :,)
what grade are you in skating wise? my coach says that im roughly grade 7-8 even though ive been skating for 3-5 months, im still on my waltz as well. Also! I have Edea Chorus, they are a bit big for me (which is a big no-go) but that just means I have enough room for me to grow into them!

I have Jackson Mystiques, but the Edea Pianos are my dream skates.
Olympic champion and 2019 world champ Alina Zagitova uses Ice Fly, Evgenia Medvedeva won her 2 worlds titles, and Olympic silver in Pianos.
Thanks! That was really useful! I have the ice flies and I’m in a really bad position because the ones I have are hand me doesn’t from another of my coach’s students. So mine are old, and I’ve started working on jumps and moves where I need new skates, and can’t afford either. Yay. But thanks this video was really helpful!

Cool video. I never got on with my Edea Overtures, hate how loose Edeas are around the ankle, so switched to Jackson Debut with Coronation Ace blades and love them. Lots of adults at my rink (I'm an adult skater) have the Ice Fly and rave about them, but no one has Pianos.
I don't even know why I'm here, I still work on my two foot spins lolll. Wish I could buy piano's in the future though, they're so prettyyy

Wow the Edea ice fly only cost around €450 in the Netherlands (that’s around 500 USD) that’s way cheaper.
I just got the ice fly’s because the chorus weren’t stiff enough for me and the concertos weren’t available and I was really needed of new skates XD. So I get what you mean with having your skate thought around your ankle bc I tied my chorus so tight that they were totally dead within a year (whoops).
What jumps are you doing now :D

I have the old style Overture's (probably 12-15 years old!) as I took a ten year break from skating. I'm waiting to see if I keep it up before I buy new skates. This was really interesting, I think I'm most likely to go for a Chorus as I think I'll only ever be doing doubles at most but I have heard that you can't over boot in Edea.

I have Edea Chorus skates and I feel very well in them. My dream is of having Edea Piano skates but aren’t currently apposite for me and my level (I’m still working on all doubles and single axel) . But just I’ll work on triples I’ll buy my dream’s skates(Edea Piano)💖💖
I got ice flys this week with john wilson gold seal blades! Im so excited. Initially I wanted the piano with the gold seal revolution purely for aesthetic reasons. I am no where near the athlete I should be to skate in pianos. Thats why I went with the ice fly. They are perfect for doubles and SO COMFORTABLE. I had risport skates before and used to think those were the most comfrtable skates even though they would hurt after a while. They didnt have the gold seal revolution blades in stock so I went with the standard. I was a bit sad that I completely changed the whole set up from what I wanted initially but im so happy with my choice now. I think the revolutions are nice but would have been to difficult for me to grad and do catch spins. Sometimes standard works better. I just liked the look of the revolution blades.

I have edea overture with p99 blades because when i got fitted they mixed up my coro. ace with coro dance and they had p99s in stock and they gave a discount for them :). Working on lutz and axel!
I have Edea chorus’ and I like them but I really want ice flys they are my second pair of skates and I’ve had them for a a year before I had Jackson mystiques which I had for a whole 3 years 😅 #sparklesquad
I have Ridell Motions with a Ridell Cosmos blade// I am a free skate 6-7 skater and am working on axels I love my skates and they are perfect for the levels I am on and will be good for a long time. they have good support and a very sturdy tongue. The blade I have has a cross pick for better stability and stability on all jumps and spins
I’m a beginner so I currently have Graf 500 skates but I want a bit more support and stiffness so I might get some Edea Skates when I change my skates
I landed my double toe on the first try the other day!!! Haha I told my coach that someday I wanna be like you and then she was like “ok do a double toe then” 😂 I need to do that all the time lol
I haven't been using the correct skates for my doubles and every time I land my right ankle goes too much on the outside edge and my skate flies out from under me😂and the skates are wayyyyy too broken down like my ankles look like their broken and I've had the skates for 3 years doing axles and doubles and double axles for the whole duration💀 so I'm thankful I got new edea ice flys I'm going to pick them up today 😊

Hi Jasmine, I love your video. I am an adult, I bought the piano a year and half ago and love them. They are the best. I have narrow feet and with. Edea piano my feet are snuggle. "Very. Confortable ". They say that the piano have a more narrow boot than the Ice Fly. Thank you !! Really appreciated !! Lise

Hi there! I am a size 7 ~ 7.5 in normal shoes. My foot is pretty narrow. What size would you recommend for EDEA skates? I recently bought used EDEA Ice Flys that were 235 B and they were so small for me.
What is your shoe size and what EDEA size works for you? I know it's different for everyone and I should go to a store, but because of the lockdown everything's closed right now. I was hoping you'd be able to comment so that I can use something for reference. Thank you!

I just bought the edea ice flys and there are like clouds ☁️ I used to have risport but I have a small ankle soo my ankle wasn’t stable, soo they told me to try edea and there soo comfortable and my ankle is stable now! And I can bedazzle them❤️
Hi! Are the risport ankles bigger than edeas? Do you wear the same size for both brands? I have edea ice fly for 2 years already but my heel always lifts up and down in my skates no matter how tight i tie them. I am thinking of changing a brand of skates to risport but idk if the heel is smaller or not
yann_nii risport skates have bigger ankles, you should try another type of edea skates
I'm personally not a fan of edea because of the heal bit. I really love the wood look so I have spteri. Also I can't believe how many people in this comment section have skates way above their level. In my opinion and from what I've seen, getting skates that are below are above your level can really hold you back and make it hard to progress. I suggest doing a lot of research and buying skates that are for your level even if they don't come with stones.
I recently got concerto skates but I also tried on ice fly. I chose concerto because I didn’t want to pay 100C$ more for ice fly. Edea pianos are my dream skates
You should do another tutorial for your piano skates
I bought a ice fly, they are new, but my left boot is not possible press similar that your piano, however the right is possible, less that your Fly, but it is new, only a few hours.

Im honestly not that advanced, am working on doubles but i want to get pianos next. I got a job so I could afford them and I LOVE stiff skates, I spent over a month deciding between both of them, again I think it feels better if I worked for them hahaha, makes me feel less guilty plus I don’t hunk I’ll wear them down that quickly.
I am not that advanced either but I wanted to splurge on Ice Fly's. I do not regret it at all because I love how stiff yet cushioned they are. I've tried other skates that are meant more towards my level but it just does not compare. I love the stiff secure fit and I have no problems with them at all. I will probably get used Piano's next just to try.

@@nadiahDono I'm personally from the EU(Netherands) and here they also cost half of what was said. Could be that the us/canada has the prices for skates inflated compared to the EU, but it can also be because for example Edea is located in Italy so shipping skates to the US/ Canada can get very expensive, and the shops make up for that by inflating the prices

I’m starting to land my axel and I need a new pair of skates! My instructor told me to buy edea’s skates, and I was debating on whether I should buy the Fly Skates or Piano Skates. After watching this video, I think I’m gonna go for the Piano skates!! :)
No for your level it’s too ad van ed the piano. you could play the overture or the chorus
@@ep3680 not neccesarily, people have different needs and weight. Some people like to skate in very very stiff skates even if they're not at the jumps that are recommended to do in those skates. Although before commiting everyone should get fitted first and try all options out.

Just start buy walking on the ice with skates on and then work your way up. Takes most people a couple hours to learn to skate.
