God bless Jordan Peterson. Great Man.
Cool 😮
A
wow
that really got me choked up.
What a man, to put himself through so much and to live through so much and just want to give it all away to us all.
thank you so much for being you and such a rare human
He makes Jesus look like a selfish nobody, right?
@@kevinkelly2162he doesn't actually.
Yes,i agree he's truly unbelievable, this guy saved millions of men I'm sure about this he also helped me alot . Hes the top psychologist who truly helps people unlike any other who wouldn't do it for free, he's legendary
@@zenostrixster They don't have sarcasm where you come from?
One minute lm thinking l am imagining l am in my new great job, next l am in a field shooting naked pregnant women in the back of the head. That spiralled quickly.
We all face adversity no matter what. Self inflicted or unavoidable. What you do when things aren’t going your way and your attitude about it will take you farther than you could ever go
Yeah but being a straight white male is more adversity than any other group has to face anywhere in any western society at any time in the last 100 years. Attitude has nothing to do with it.
Oh wow! I have never heard anything so deep and meaningful in all my life.
This is really motivational, makes you fired up to get off your ass to do something. Feel like it would be good to replay when you're lazy.
The harder, but completely permanent solution is to look into the void yourself for inspiration to make a difference in the world. But, of course, self-afflicted horror is expected of nobody.
What Dr. Peterson said there those last couple of minutes- I’m about three-fourths done writing a science fiction novel and I have chosen that quotation of Dr. Peterson’s as an epigraph. Of course when the time comes I will write and formally request permission to use the piece in my book. But it gives me joy that themes Dr. Peterson wove into his lectures are themes I was weaving into my novels long before I “met” him. And by using his words as my epigraphs (with permission) I hope to get some readers to consider his words who might not otherwise.
Still wrestling with the title but it looks like “The Snowdrop Warrior” is going to be it.
Wasn't the quote actually Carl Jung's.
What a bloody amazing man....
Listening to Dr. Peterson over the past few years has done more for my mental health than the years of medication... And that's the truth. My mind/headspace is in a MUCH better place.
Beautiful insight and beautifully articulated. Jordan's a treasure.
Such a powerful mind!!
Salute Dr. Peterson
I can tell you mister pietersen I live that life. It's not easy growing up being a homeless orphan. And here I am today, 57 years old and still kicking.
I love you Jordan and I care about you. You know what it takes to become a decent human being, you speak the truth, stand up straight with your shoulders back and being able to face darkness, suffering and pain. You are an amazing teacher who teaches the right topics about life.
Thank you Dr. Peterson … thank you…. Yes the light we find even at our darkest moments is brighter than we ever imagined. There is no darkness that prevents light. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness will never overtake it… not ever😊
I lived this.. I pulled myself out of the depths of the void by finding the undeniable reasoning to consciously care about myself for the first time in my life.
The world will be a better place by my hand.
Basically, part of the message is to bring good from evil, which, I imagine, many will take this the wrong way. Turn darkness into light. Convert malevolence into strength to do good. TRANSFORM!
But you'll only be able to do that by confronting The Dragon.
It is far too late for that. PeterPANson's blindspot, his closet misogyny, his insufferably arrogant belief in his male superiority, prevents him from finding the light in the dark, Revelation 21, esp. v.24, 25, 26. He has told too many LIES, like: men and women have cooperated well throughout history, there is no such thing as toxic masculinity, there is no such thing as a hierarchy built on power, meritocracy determines who runs things, women wear makeup to the office to seduce men for job advancement, women are biologically prone to gossip to bring down other women --- while he ironically does a whole video hatchet job, tearing down Meagan Markle. Let us hear PeterPANson's analysIs of Revelation 12: The Woman and the 🐲 D R A G O N. His intellectual arrogance, his overweening confidence in his so-called intelligence is so great, this dabbler, this dilettante, presumes to interpret the Bible with zero knowledge what it is about or knowing the author and narrator speaking in the Seventh Person narrative voice is female.
Not sure if I'm able to slay the dragon but I might be able to kick it in the dick real good. That's gotta count for something, right?
@@davidstone5595 if it doesn't work out, you're a good meal. Lol
I'm sorry you had to go through that horror, discovering the deapth's that man is capable of is horrible but i love that you are able to articulate it for our benifit, someday your words will be included in young people's education and the world will benifit
Bring it on cause is more to me than is to the catastrophe! ... thanks Dr. Peterson for this unique line!!
7:47 Yes the terrible darkness may come over and over again and are always unavoidable. Sad reality of life. I hope anyone out there who is also going through some kind of darkness in their life will be able to have a strong faith and come out on the other side.
I can definitely attest to doing a bit more than is expected of you at work, brings good rewards and success. I have worked for very hard taskmasters and have done my bit to work to the best of my abilities and going above and beyond. Not only did I get raises (both with and without asking), but I made some very good friends in the process and I also learned to level up by understanding how to work hard alongside hard taskmasters who had to work their way to the top. Some bosses I have had to walk away from because they behaved in a way that was abusive, but most are decent people.
Wow, this hits hard.
Does anyone know what full length talk this is excerpted from? Even by JP's standards, this is a particularly inspiring eight minutes. I would love to watch the full talk.
I weep to realize how badly I needed JP 25 years ago when I was a confused, resentful teenager. No such wisdom and clarity could be found circa 2000, or at least I sure didn't know where to find it. Oh well, I am overcome with gratitude that as old as I am now, I still have some time left to change course, guided in large part by JP, with his unique genius for distilling and articulating our highest values. Thank you sir.
Yes! This is from the Twelve Rules for Life 2019 tour. Melbourne, Australia. Entitled “The Deeper the Abyss, the Brighter the Light.”
I’ve seen it a dozen times and it always makes me break up how prophetic it was for our Dr. Peterson.
I received a free ticket to the Melbourne show and I don’t know if I could ever fully express the joy of being there. All this time later I still replay the memories in my mind. Dr Peterson has deeply impacted my life in such a positive way.
@@AFringedGentian thanks, i was hoping they would put it in the description
"There is more to you, than the horror."
Thank you Mr. Peterson, you are loved and respected by my heart. Our mocassins will never pass, but you certainly are a worthy person to learn from. God bless you and your family.
Thanks for this I needed it
This was exacly what i needed, im going to try my best to integrate this mindset.
thank you, 💯
Thank you
There are literal images of Jordan peering into the darkness as he's giving this talk. Such powerful imagery considering this talk is about Dr. Peterson's findings after looking into and studying the darkest acts and beliefs in history.
great talk.
Thank You
As a Kingdom Hearts fan, "At the darkest part is the brightest light" can't help but make me think of that series, lol. The image of the heart of light being hidden behind the door to darkness is a pretty illustration of that principle, at least.
I enjoy these. He manages to put a voice to the way I live my life and how I think. You will only be beat down if you let them keep kicking you down. Get up and find the positive out of the negative and it maintains a goal for you to achieve. It gives you a driving force to continue.
Jordan knows very well how dark life can be interpersonally for many. I suffered a lot already but I keep trying and hope I would find some light sometime and can handle myself and not suffer so much anymore because you're damn alone with it
There's no gain without pain!!
I have become so cynical and doubt almost everything I hear on the news or out of the mouths of talking heads... (Liberal and conservative). But I realized how refreshing it was to hear something JP said and I just knew it to be the truth. Thank you God for this man and his ability to fight through this world to become what he is today.
You're the wellspring of the ethical actions that replenish the dying world. That's what you are - JBP
beautiful. where can i find the rest of this? it cuts off at such a captivating part
This is from his 2019 Twelve Rules for Life tour. Melbourne, Australia. Entitled “The Deeper the Abyss The Brighter the Light.” I’ve heard it a dozen times through.
The only video you will need in life. Thank you Dr. Peterson 🙏🏽
What you most want to find will be found where you least want to look 🙏
its been a very long time since I had you on repeat. These clips without those advertisements, please. Keep up this style.
incredible speaker
I'm tryna be less mean to deflate my opponent's ego and tone down their narcissistic rage. Now I'm up against another major trigger-cruelty. This video means a whole lot to me.
Love you Dr. Peterson, always remember there are plenty that love you.
State job: I came in 1.5 hours early, 30 minute lunch , instead of 1 hour; we weren't allowed to stay late: try not to work for a bad liberal. I tried this plan. If they hate you, there is nothing you can do: except leave.
Wow ❤
I tend to overthink things and get trapped in the dark places of my mind. Dr. Peterson gives me hope and the tools to deal with it.
Amen
Thanks, Dad. ❤
How deep and poetic
Few men I have seen like this man. I have just got to know him few weeks ago from tiktok but I have liked him. Great men
It works
I'm 75 and Dr. Peterson has helped me, AND I make my bed.
My wife does. God bless her. I'd be dead without her.
After seeing this, it's now clear to me that to be the useless person in a society is technically a personal choice,
There's more alot in everyone regardless of the situation
God bless J. Peterson for putting out so much effort trying to rescue the world from absolute insanity.
God I hope Jordan does another lecture in Philadelphia or anywhere in New Jersey for that matter. I would pay anything to go to one.
done
Cant find the light in this dark moment of mine which came as betrayal. Suffering with anxiaty cant find a house to rent so im still living with her and we have a daughter. Suicide has come to my head sometimes but im still strongh enough to fight that feeling. Im stuck into chaos at this moment for almost 2 months. Its hard man its so hard, my world fell down.
Happy fathers' day, JP
I've seen a few corporate pathelogical power plays.
Life is full of unchosen suffering. You only get to choose how to respond.
...after all these years, and despite all of his flaws & limitations, I still love the man.
To me, it's kinda the same with Louis C.K. Am I a fan of everything he's been doing in his life? No, definitely not. Do I think he's one of the greatest to ever do it, nonetheless? You're damn right, I do!
JBP taught me a lot and helped me overcoming some limitations that had been crippling me for ages - and I never met the man.
It's truly a golden age we're living in. I choose to appreciate and cherish that.
#nothingbutlove
i need to hear the rest of the speech! where can i find it?
Not searching
“As God lives, who has taken away my right,
and the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter,
as long as my breath is in me,
and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,
my lips will not speak falsehood,
and my tongue will not utter deceit.
Far be it from me to say that you are right;
till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go;
my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.” -Job
I feel these words are Jordan Peterson's preaching to Jordan Peterson
Agree. He is in Jordan mind journey. I'm supposed to be making my bed but all l can think of is pregnant naked women being shot in the head in a field. He is in his own night of darkness.
Well help me Jordan, I am disabled. I am on the carnivore diet. I keep on doing better and better with God by my side. Talk to me when my boundaries have been somewhat set. I'm 57 and I never give up or give in but Drs. say no they don't get on board with me. Speak to me!! I have followed you for at least a year now and your daughter Speak to Me!!
Is your life better than it was before all those sacrifices?
Do you think it would be better if you hadn't made them?
@@stimpsonjcat67 My life is better for sacrifices but my health suffers and has for years. Drs. don't seem to understand because of my sunny disposition. A pain sufferer is supposed to be down not hopeful. See the problem. I don't get the meds I need unless I go and lie and put on a show. Although I do explain the rough and extremely difficult times. My happy natural confuses them.
Everyone has that problem. Talk with your doctor not AT them. Or find another doctor. I ask my doctor how HE is. He's African and works in a windowless office all day. I can't believe it. I talked to him like he's human and he seems like a great guy.
@@redtobertshateshandles I thought I was but sounds like I need to take a different approach. Thank you for your advice.
Que Haley Joel Osment saying “Kingdom Hearts is light!”
When you hit rock bottom, but somehow don't die from it, you find that light.
“A man is judged by how much struggle he can endure…”
whenever i hear him say to stare into the darkness in order to see light, it reminds me of "Hubble Deep Field" photo
What a classic this is.
1:47 what you are describing reminds me of the spirit of Mexican people's work ethic in FL. I would love to hire them but there's a language barrier, plus there's a trust issue. They are owned by richer, stricter Americans.
My South American friend describes them as Troglodytes. When they visit him here in Australia they can't believe people follow the rules. Use indicators, use the correct lane, use a leash on their dog, pick up their dog shit.
@@redtobertshateshandles Their faith in their God and their family ideals are somethings that I also admire and somewhat envy.
People getting mad incoming
“Insterquilinis invenitur.”
I’ve come to love this proverb more than any other I have yet heard, for it is helping me realise that which I most want to find is indeed in places where I least want to look. Every day. Constantly helping me discover new, scary things about what I could do were I still resentful enough to be vilify the world as I was when I was a young ideologue. I just wish more people would do the same. Thank you for continuing to educate us, Jordan. Never stop teaching us how to become more than what we are.
What is the full lecture this clip was taken from??

Just work harder, great. That'll dentally useful
Yes, it actually is.
I know a mother of 3 children. She had graduated from college before marrying and speaks 7 languages, her husband died later on. She didn't find a job in her field because they didn't want to hire her due to her age. If that's a functional society, I am definitely not proud of being part of it.
what’s the full video
My life and families life has been turned upside down since a gang leader has taken a serious disliking to my son, I have never know stress like it, my son is only 15 and goes boxing but this adult wanted to show him up and now it has turned our whole world upside down... this is what hell looks like..
This is the old Jordan back again - I wish he was like this more often than full time culture warrior
Culture war happens right now to be a fight between Eros ( life instinct ) and Thanatos ( death instinct ). That's why he's now a full time culture warrior. Eros needs people like him to win. He along with others ( Walsh, Carlson, etc ) are waking us all so we can also be a part of that fight against our own death as a society.
They're not mutually exclusive. They're the same person.
This was 2018. What happened to Jordan lately is the same that happened to many of us: The pandemic brought the unparalleled corruption to light that is threatening our way of living, even our very lives, and is moving rapidly towards full blown global totalitarianism and a destruction of the West as we know it. This stark reality has made us cynical and angry to a degree where we don't hold back anymore. Subtle and nice no longer matters.
Operative words "when there is a functional society" memo to JP this is not a functional society!
😂😂😂are you serious? Well I understand why you said that. When things ACTUALLY get dysfunctional, thats when you will appreciate how well things had been functioning and how well you had it. Just list to yourself all the things you have and the things that are available to you and to most others around you. You're probably taking a lot for granted. Functional doesn't mean things are perfect. It's insufficiently functional.
If this wasn't a functional society, most people would be starving in the street
"There's more to me, than there is to the catastrophe"
Sometimes hard work never pays off, no matter how hard you work.
No, because you become good at working hard nonetheless, so when you find a path that is fruitful, you will be already be a hard worker.
I'm a teacher so I don't get paid more for all the extra hours I work😭😅
I love when he cries
T H I S ! ! !
How did you manage to go from quiting your job to Polish Police training in WW2!!??
I'm astounded by your thought process 🤔
I tryed to work harder than anyone else except one old man for 20 years and they gave it to a girl they just hired
So my attitude changed and they tried to fire me the first time I got mad seeing they lied to my wife who divorced me and they covered up that the bagworm poison I sprayed gave me a psychotic episode
So I retired but not before the death angel showed up
Not in the Netherlands, the more hours you work the more taxxes you need to pay
Overtime is taxxed more than a regular hour, 40 hours a week is the max after the 40 hours its overtime
When in Rome. Go help someone who needs it. Maybe even yourself.
Pray for me to get a job. I’ve been looking for the past two years now.
Can Humans be Tamed?
We need to develop ourselves as human beings beyond our animate level of existence, and it is possible with a certain kind of education.
Developing ourselves as human beings means learning and balancing ourselves with the integral laws of nature operating on our lives. If we learn how to positively connect among each other in human society, with altruistic attitudes replacing our current egoistic attitudes, we then develop ourselves beyond the animate level of existence and become human beings in the fullest sense of the term.
First, we need to provide for our animate lives, giving our physical bodies the food, sex and family that they require, then after taking care of those essentials, we can begin our human development. We then need to learn who and what we are, where we are from, why we exist, how we can develop ourselves, how we can control our human development, what our attitude to our surrounding society should be, what society’s attitude should be toward us, and how we can develop together harmoniously, i.e. us in relation to society, and society in relation to us.
We need to supply ourselves with this development that will make us human beings. Unfortunately, I see nobody understanding what it means to develop a human being, and we thus fail to realize such a process. One of the outcomes of our lack of development into human beings is our inability to understand the younger generation. We become increasingly detached from them, and do not know what will happen with them or how to guide them in a beneficial direction. We thus let life unfold as it does, into a proliferation of problems and crise.
Very simply, we need to learn what nature wants from us, and to develop in order to balance with nature’s demands toward us. If we meet those demands, we can then build a harmonious and peaceful world, one that is in balance with nature.
Men, do not hesitate for one moment to put a restraining order against your female partner if you feel your safety and health is in jeopardy. Placing a permanent restraining order on my female partner was absolutely the wisest protective move of my adult lifetime. My only regret is not doing it years earlier. Men, be safe!
Gaslighting incel.
This is not something we hear often from men, but as a social worker I can agree that this is sometimes a necessary move. For some people it's the ex-partner and for some even their own family members that must be kept at a distance. Many of my clients are suffering from constant negative interference from an ex partner or a parent, most often the mother. I'm glad you can feel safe now.
Another INCEL in the comments.
I hate to admit he's right, but he is.
It were better nothing would begin
You know as someone who's stared at himself and everything he's done and does I can attest to what Dr Peterson is saying here.
It's difficult to express in words but the ethos of what I'm trying to say comes across in the song 'What I've Done' by Linkin Park.
I sin quite greviously I will admit but you toy around with the idea of you being useless, worthless, contemptable, anti social, addicted degenerate but after a long damn while you realise that actually, No. There is truth in a journey and that I have missed the mark so greatly I have learned when my aim is straying wide or hitting closer to the heart of the target.
I've disagreed with almost everyone who has told me what I should be aiming for in life and been a fool who's body has learned to sin less over time. I don't really know how valuable this process is or has been but all I know is that theoretically if say you found a bunch of guys and gals who could vibe with you (someone who's stared at their own heart of darkness), you'd be in a good spot to lead by example and set the cultural tempo of the world.
I hope that makes sense but yeah if you sin (miss the heart of the bullseye) and feel ashamed please don't its only the worse sinners who can teach us what we should be aiming for in life.
Darkest moments, travesty, horror…good grief. Chill, bro.
Life is defined by pain. And nothing changes that. Nothing lessens it or makes it bearable.
We had guys taking half of Friday off because they would make more money. They wouldn't pay as much tax
