Ivan was cool. I would talk to him occasionally in the 2000's when he lived north of Ann Arbor on the Huron River. Had great conversations and I never met him. We would message each other from time to time.
I never knew as a preteen that this was a cover, I discovered it in 94 thanks to the movie "Threesome " Maybe because I heard and grew up with this version, I prefer it over the Patti Smith version but it's the only version that I can not only play over and over again, but one that I can truly say is in my top 5 of favorite songs.

Finally listening to this remake for the first time. I am a big fan of U2 and don't hate this take at all, but to say it blows away Patti Smith's version I just don't understand. I hate to say this but they seem to have taken out all of Patti's emotion and mailed it in.
