Loved Jen getting in that little Chevy dig at 17:32. Hunter has himself a good gal.
Jens family are Ford through and through. I thought it was funny. Jen is a good sport.
Which l'il Chevy was that?@@SAWDUSTLUGNUTS
I enjoy watching you and Hunter interact with each other. It's obvious he was brought up right as he is very respectful. He does love to joke around, though, and you two have a great relationship. Good job parenting, Clayton.
Hunters mother has allot to do with who he is, she rocks. We do have fun together, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. LOL. Thanks for watching.
Hunter seems like a very nice man… I raised mine pretty much by myself but I did meet my sole mate when he was 8 and it all worked out. I am sure you did a great job man. Fab rats and your channel has me and my wife wanting to move that way.
Beautiful country and people.
Best life to you man.
@@Todd936 Where are you living now? Southern Utah is a beautiful place and there are great people here. As always we appreciate you watching and being a part of the sawdust & lugnuts family.
ALRIGHT!!!! You guys FINALLY got a decent truck, both of you! Blue Oval forever!!! Those Rangers are pretty tough little trucks and the F-150 is legendary in toughness! Enjoy your friendly competition.
Blue Oval just doesn't have the same ring to it as Chevy Bowtie. LOL. I was surprised that they both fired after setting for 10 years. Thanks for watching.
Love the banter between the two of you.
Yeah we like to dish it out, but we are also good at taking it.
Clayton you raised hunter up to a good young man. He's come so far since he first started at the Fab Rats garage
His Mother and I are proud of Hunter. He has been such an easy kid to raise. Not without some excitement and shenanigans though.
You All did an amazing job with him. Congratulations
Ford fan here. Love this, these old girls will be just fine.
I think so too, After 10 years they both fire up.
Good for you Hunter, coming to the Ford side.
Ford side or Dark side?? LOL.. Hunter has big plans for the Ranger.
I want to see Paul's reaction when Hunter pulls up at FabRats with it.
Hunter might get fired!
That would be fun to watch.
only if he tells paul the transmission works
Ranger and a Bull Nose Ford. 2 great trucks.
It was a great find. We should have them running soon. Thanks for watching.
Like father like son, you two have the same competing blood flowing thru you're veins! It's fun to watch you compete against one another all from love a father and his son! Catch you on the next. ✌️ 😊
You are not wrong there. We are a competitive family. That keeps things interesting.
i like ford dodge and chevy but im a ford guy through and through aint enough money in the world that could replace as many memories ive made in them i dont want to get into it but those memories are all ive got left keep making great memories with hunter clayton loved the video
Truer words have never been spoken. It’s crazy how we affiliate memories with our old cars. And new ones as well. Thanks for watching
I drive a 92 Ranger 4.0, love that little truck. So dependable.
I see allot of them still on the road.
You may want to check the reset button for the fuel pump on the ranger. Passenger side under the side panel. Good luck to both of you guys. Alway's fun to watch a farther and son working together. Thanks for the video stay safe guy's.
We were not aware of a reset button. We will investigate that further. I enjoy making videos with Hunter. He brings allot of knowledge from his job at Fabrats.
@@SAWDUSTLUGNUTS Most Fords in that era had fuel shut-off switches in case they are in an accident. Cars are usually mounted in the trunk & trucks the psgr kick panel.
What an awesome challenge. Good on ya!
It's a fun little competition for sure.
Get prepared Hunter! My 93 F150 sat for almost 11 years, yet it fired right up on 10 year old gas and ran fine! I still drive it!
Hunter has been working on his Jeep so the Ranger has been neglected. I'll have the F150 going first.
That’s a Ford Frickin Ranger😂😂, heck yeah !!! Another good one!! Keep it up Clayton
Heck Yeah!!! Thanks for watching. Lets shoot a video together one of these days.
I had an 89 ranger like that one with the factory camper shell I loved that truck. It was a 4cyl with a 5 speed I have been looking for another one for years. I was caught in a chain reaction 7 car wreck and I hated to get rid of it. It was a blast to drive and got 27 mpg on the highway.
Sorry to hear about the crash that killed the Ranger. That's great fuel economy, maybe I better drive it to work and back. LOL.
You two are comical together,Hunter said you see that he jumped!
I was trying to grab my jumper cables, and my Cummins is tall. Had to leave the earth to reach them.
Come on Hunter let's see you shine man all that stuff you learned I'm kind of excited for this
Hunter like to wrench and tinker with stuff, he will do just fine.
If you're giving that thing away, put me in the running. Salt Lake could use one more great truck! Love those mid-80s Ford pickups. Great video!
Hunter has been giving me a few ideas on a give-a-way. That's probably what I will do with the F150.
Good job. Sounds like a fun challenge.
It's been fun so far. The race is on. Thanks for watching.
I had a Ranger. Loved it. It will be fun to see them getting the trucks going.
The race is on. I'm pulling my carb tomorrow and ordering a rebuild kit. We'll be spinning tires before you know it.
That wood grain dash on that F150 is top notch right there! Going to be great can’t wait to see more.
It defiantly has the 80's look to it. I Rember the old station wagons with the simulated wood Pannels on the outside.
Beautiful scenery
I think we take it for granted, as we have lived here our whole lives. Thanks for reminding us just how beautiful our neck of the woods really is. We Appreciate you watching.
Very entertaining family video. Keep it up
We appreciate you watching.
I had the same Ford F150 back in 96 good running truck had the 351 Windsor in it.
I'm not sure what engine my F150 has.
The battles of the Titans...
Should be epic.
That F150 is a keeper hold onto it!
I'm not a Ford guy. I'll either sell it cheap or give it to someone who needs a ride.
I like the camera lady who knows her Fords.
Jen does love her Fords.
Clayton, it's nice to see how close you and Hunter are... my father didn't show me any affection from my earliest memories up until i left home at sixteen (i certainly understood the concept of living in fear), fortunately my mother was the polar opposite of him, if she had of been anything like him i think myself and my seven other siblings would have pulled the pin early on in life!!!
Barry, I'm sorry to hear about your relationship with your father. Family is everything to Angie and I. We have a very close knit family and enjoy doing fun stuff like this. Thanks for watching, and God Bless you and yours.
Great to see another video Clayton... keep'em coming 👍👍
We apprecitae you watching. Stay tuned.
I enjoy watching you and Hunter interact. It reminds me of my dad and I. He had a 1983 F-250 4x4 black and silver
It’s funny how we associate memories and good times with vehicles. Thanks for watching
My pleasure. If you decide to do a giveaway on that F-150 I want in
Pretty cool trucks! Look forward to you and Hunter getting them running. Had a 91 Ranger several years ago with a V6 and 5 speed. Held up well until my youngest son started driving it and blew the rear end out doing burnouts. Thanks for the video!
You'll have that with teenagers. LOL. We've been through 7 teenage drivers and Karsi just started drivers ED. She's our last one. I think will survive it.
I love the Ford F-150!! I'll drive it across the country back to NC!!
I'm sure it will be for sale or I will give it to someone. Thanks for watching.
Man, Clayton, you are the quintisential great Dad, wish I could have had the same, but Hunter is such a good man, and you can just see the upbringing you gave him. Though I think his Ford is gonna whoop yours when all up and runiing, LO)L
Hunter is a good kid. Not had any trouble with him. Doesn’t drink, smoke, drugs, and is always helping others. Appreciate the comment about him. And as always thanks for watching and helping us grow our channel. And we’ll see about that Ranger. lol.
@@SAWDUSTLUGNUTS Amen, Brother Clayton, you done good for sure!!
Yes! Love to see a ford on the channel!
Stay tuned, more Ford action to come
Love ford rangers..
I'm a ford fan...
Ford for work , Chevy for play
The deal was too good to pass on, and Hunter wanted the Ranger. It will be fun getting them running. Appreciate you watching.
Awesome video! Excited to see you guys make them run!
You need this old F150 for a run a round truck.
Just ran into this video and subscribed 👍 Been a fan of Hunter from his work at FabRats. Looks like a fun father and son challenge.👍🇺🇸
Thanks for joining us and watching our channel. Hunter has a lot of fans, he appreciates them all. Stay tuned for more fun and adventures.
Hunter should turn that Ranger into a PreRunner over at Paul's for a project. That thing would be sweet with fiberglass fenders and real suspension.
That would be cool. He has big plans for the Ranger.
The privilege of great parents. Congrats
Thanks', We try.
Clayton of course you will.
Heck Yeah, I'm in it to win... LOL..
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching us again. Have a blessed week.
Clayton, glad to see you survived this episode without burns from the explosion from Tony's cigarette smoking while pouring gas into the carb.......unreal...Well good luck with your challenge with Hunter getting these four letter F words going , we look forward to part 2 for sure. Stay safe, guys.
LOL. Yeah as Angie and I were watching the video as I was editing we noticed Tony with his smoke rolling while pouring gas down the intake.
Yeah it is hard to press the like button on a scene where anyone is smoking and pouring gas at the same time.
@@donwilliams3626Safety Patrol...
Tony is a character for sure.
Gasoline will not ignite from a cigarette but ok guy
Tony was saying Whoa.....and Clayton thought he said Go......😂😂😂
Yeah, I should have been paying better attention. We got-r-done but could have been a little less rough with the steering un-locked.
I do love priming the carb with the butt hanging there!! OLD SCHOOL🤣👍🏻😎
Classic Tony move right there.
And let's not forget about the Nova challenger race. When's that coming up clay?
The nova is having power-plant issues. It has a major rod knock, I'm surprised there is not a connecting rod sticking out of the side of the block. The Challenger is getting closer.
Jens right, it's because it's a Ford . Old Ford's never die, they just keep on running.
We’ll see with these ole girls. Hope you’re right
Take every minute you can with your dad, lide is too short, my friend
You’re absolutely right. My dad had a stroke 5 years ago. He and I went to Colorado mule deer hunting for A dozen years. I’ve not been back since the stroke. Any time with your dad is well spent
Fun Video !
Thanks for watching. we appreciate the support.
Can't wait to see who is FORD===First On Race Day
I need my silver coin back. I better get on my A-Game. Thanks for watching.
Ranger danger race
You crazy kids! I used to own an F-150 in my last year in college. It was a 1980 or 81 or something like that. Purchased brand new in Kingsville Tx and hated it from day one, got overheated because a thermostat failure, front brakes locked up because of Master cylinder failure, the paint started peeling off in chunks from the hood. I was happy when I sold it with only 36K miles and purchased a Toyota car and never looked back at another Ford product. The Ranger probably works witha few maintenance pieces and some new tires since those are probably dry rotten. Other than that good luck.
I have has about the same luck as you with Ford ownership. Lot's of guys giving us Ford haters crap on here, but for me, it's with good reason. Thanks for watching.
Hunter and his dad rule. Keep it up
Thanks' appreciate you watching us..
My grandpa had that same truck as his farm truck different color! Seeing the inside of it brought back so many memories it was beat up but it ran good.
The Ranger or the F150?
Hey nice on the trucks cause I have 4 of the F-150 four wheel drive and I have 4 of the Ford rangers I love my Ford trucks and I have a 1991 Fox body mustang getting ready to put 351 Windsor and five speed in my Stang and can't wait till u put some more awesome videos out and I watch Fab Rats to and love the way they pick on Hunter be safe and always be careful when u do each and every day buddy
Thanks' I owned a Mustang once upon a time. It was a 71 Mach1 fast back. It also had a 351 and boy did it scream. we appreciate you watching.
Hunter that’s ranger will be easy to get going I have owned 6 of them great little trucks
I was so surprised that it fired after sitting for ten years.
Greetings from Torrance! You literally bought 2 trucks "Found On Road Dead" I can't bash either Ford or Chevy since I'm a Toyota fan. But I do own an 1989 IROC so I guess I'm a little biased. It's always fun to bring back vehicles that have been sitting for years. You may have opened a huge can of worms, but with a little patience (and a lot of money), these trucks will be back on the road. Next video you got to show us your new shop! Thanks again sir!
Hunter's Jeep is already in the new shop. My plans are to put a nice clean studio where I can video for my channel without distractions. The woodshop now is in full production all day, 5 days a week, it's hard to get good video without slowing down production. We are hoping not to spend a ton of $$ on these trucks.
Great video! Can't wait to see who wins the coin!
I need that one troy ounce of silver back in my collection. I better get cracking.
Those Chey guys don't know how good those 4.0 engines are and those 5.0 and 351 engines are.
I haven't owned a ford since the mid 80's. I've worked on a few, I'm sure these old girls will start and run under their own power.
Poor Tony! He's not there to defend his self so he gets the blame! LOL!! Good luck guys!!
You got it, blame the guy who is gone. Thanks for watching.
Love the content keep it up
Thanks for watching.
Commenting to get your ratings up
Thanks' I appreciate the help. We are almost to 10K subs.
Good deal. After he changes the fuel pump and still doesn't have fuel, he can check his fuse.
Maybe we should check that first. LOL.
We need a video of Hunter watching the video of you towing the ranger 🤔
lol. That would be funny.
An old bumper Jack might straighten that bumper out.
I bet it would. Good idea, I've got it pretty close.
I was really hoping to see Hunters ranger have the 4.0L engine. The 3.slow isnt to bad though lol, just dont let it get to hot as they like to warp heads fairly easy.
Ford ranger owner for 19 years +
Best of luck to both of you guys, im excited to see more!
The oil looked good. No water in it, so hopefully it's not been hot. Hard to believe they both fired after 10 years.
It’s a 2.9 v6 in 90 which you can bolt 4.0 heads onto
3.0 wasn’t introduced till 92
Now you’re talking Hunter ford all 😊the way
Hey them old fords are the best
Enjoying it
Thanks for watching.
That Ranger is a nice little truck. Hunter could finally have a decent ride. 🤣 Y’all are so fortunate with climate wise- those trucks would look like Swiss cheese here in the rust belt.
LOL.. Hunter has big plans for the Ranger. We have lots of old vehicles in our area, they don't rust too bad like they do in other areas of the world.
Hunter knows a guy that can fix his bumper.
I bet he knows a few that are capable. Thanks for watching.
I must say that is an awesome awesome idea. You and Hunter working on something together as a challenge and yes work on it there sorry Hunter you won't win but what a great challenge for you and if you do well man I'll have much respect great challenge. Personally couldn't care less who wins U2 working together that's a win
You are absolutely right. Time spent with family is worth more than all the monetary gains that are affiliated with it.
I don’t mind Ford’s not having had but one truck in my life. I am told that I have been lucky with how reliable mine has been. I’m sure there are good reasons why so many bag on Ford’s but yet they still seem to show up in use by many who say they prefer something else.
There are good trucks in all the major brands. And each have there lemons. It all comes down to personal preference. We appreciate you watching.
right out of dumb and dummer make this a hollywood movie?? the guy putting gas in and the spark of the battery along with a cigarette and trying to start the truck wow!!
LOL.. Maybe Tony cab audition for the next dumb & dumber movie...
The race is on and here comes Hunter. The winner losses all. Pride down the back stretch Fun stuff boys.
It will be fun. You and grandpa can a front row seat to the race.
Who needs a bumper? It's a Ford freakin Ranger!
That's what I thought. I got it straightened out pretty good.
pie and coffee makes got times weather permiting
Well the weather here is Cold. and it's been raining and trying to snow for a week.
I have had good trucks and back trucks and all of the big 3
They all produce lemons at one time or another.
Fun to watch!! Hunter has a nice girl.
Thanks for watching. Yes, Jen is a sweetheart.
Just like at fab rats hunter stands around and watches people work
Hunter does more than you will ever know behind the scenes. Ask Paul, he’d be lost without him. Thanks for watching
Cool
Thanks for watching
Really good, and that ranger, hunter get it running then think down the road be good platform for a ranger overland rig, that be neat. I like the f150 nice and straight and bonus finding the tailgate
Hunter wants to keep it for camping and for running around the Valley.
Shoot I would dig finding a black and silver Ford. It was the truck I drove in high school
It's a sweet old truck, maybe you can get it on a give-a-way..
Jen is correct about the Ford.
Jen has been brainwashed since birth. lol. Just like the rest of us. It’s funny how much influence our fathers, brothers, and uncles affect our opinions on this subject
check the Inertia Switch On the right Hand Side Of The Passenger foot Well These are known to fail Before Replacing The Fuel Pump
We will check that out for sure. Thank you for the tip.
WELL IT IS A FORD !
True...
Leafspring ranger front 55" chev off old chev c30 rear axle
If I were going to throw real money at a crawler, it wouldn’t be a Ranger. Hunter has plans, we will have to wait and see what he does
That f150 my cousin has one 1983 still looks new runs good
This 84 is solid. It's pretty straight for being 30 years old. Thanks for watching.
The ol f150 is in pretty good shape. Too bad it’s not 4wd but it’ll make someone a neat little daily driver.
If it was 4x4 I’d probably keep it. Someone will end up with it and enjoy it.
Good Times
I'm new to your program
I'm a Fab Rats Fan
Sweet, welcome to our channel. We appreciate you watching.
Them rangers are hard to beat they good trucks cheap on gas and if it’s a 5 speed it’s great
This one is an automatic. I'm surprised it started after 10 years of sitting.
No fair dad, good job
Dad need the advantage, so I guess all's fair in love and war.
I wish I could find an F150 that nice. Around me, they are asking $3500-5000 for a totally rusted out heap with over 250K miles.
Southern Utah is quite a dry climate so old cars & trucks don't rust here like they do back east.
I once only drove Chevys then I I got sick of pushing now I drive Fords.
Now your hitch-hiking, right? LOL. It's funny how we all adopt our Dads, brothers and Uncles views and opinions on makes of vehicles.
My bet is on the ranger good hunter
Hunter needs all the support he can get. LOL.
😅i know the 87 ford ranger had two fuel pumps a lift pump in the tank and the high pressure pump was on the frame rail. Just under were your feet are at .and the fuel filter around there also.
I’ll tell Hunter to look for the exstra pump, appreciate that tidbit of information
Wanna make it a real challenge? Find two similar Chevs that'll start that easily after sitting for 10 years.
Don't hold your breath. I found a couple of mid 70's Camero's sitting in a field in California. I am working a deal on them. They've been sitting allot longer than the two fords. Our plans are to drive them home to Utah.
Rock crawling and burnout contest
There you go. That could be interesting as well as entertaining.
Hunter could always do the Cletus and cars danger ranger!!
lol, that might be interesting and entertaining
