that was the right winner for me that year, and im obsessed with eleni, but this deserve to win as a song and creativity wise plus performance .. she definitely deserved this 1st place, while the most votes she got were from televote
You should see Shiri Maimon - Hasheket Shenish'ar . She is actually the judge in the program in which Eden Golan was chosen to represent Israel
Netta is not only a singer she is talented in pretty much everything related to music she can create beats and rhythms on her own. If I remember correctly she worked as a DJ before she became famous as a singer.

For your own enjoyment you should listen to the Official video version where Netta uses the looper that she is famous for. Unfortunately, The ESC didn`t allow her to use it onstage and we ended up with this version but the original is much better.
Netta is a true artist. she quite skilled with a looping machine but she couldn't use it in ESC so they used the "simon says" board instead
The studio version of the song became a huge hit way before the competition which is probably why the song won

It would be super nice if you guys checked out Susan Tedeschi - It Hurts So Bad. I'm not sure if it's your vibes but her voice is so extremely good. And she's somehow even better live than in studio.
Also you guys are one hella attractive couple.
Behind this "funy" show there is a empower women message...every word, every movement has a meaning .. for exemple: "I dont need your stefa(money) baybe" or in hebrew: "ani lo booba" -I'm not a doll..and the movement and chicken voices is what she thinks about man....
Toy was the best song in 2018 and has the most views! Neta received the most points from the audience at home much more than Cyprus and came to Israel to win.. Without a doubt Israel's song in 2018 was the best with a very important message and an excellent vocal performance. All the bad reactions are because in those years there were millions of Muslim immigrants in Europe who were exposed to Eurovision and they hate Israel so they always put bad reactions unfortunately because they hate Jews and hate Israel.
How this Chicken anthem won over Fuego is still crazy to me to this day.
It was better, get over it. We love fuego too.

It was good but Foureira was better.
In music there is no better... just different. Fuego was a completely different style and extremely well executed but no way as original as this one was and this version is the castrated one after ESC refused to allow her to perform it using the looper she used on the original track heard in the official video. If she`d been allowed to bring the looper onstage she would have totally destroyed , in my opinion.
