Oh my goodness! I want everything you just showed us! I live in a house built in 1788, and, i am always looking for pretty, delicate, feminine things. The cottage core goes well with my old, historic house. My house was called The Gingerbread House, as, the man who owned it was a baker! I would give anything for the set of dishes you got! I am jealous of your antique and thrift stores. I do not have many good ones near me. Grrr. And, can I say I am envious of your dress! It is lovely!
Oh, I love this old magazines too. Please show them with more details. I love it, when UA-camr/ instagrammer pages of old magazines. I will do it with my German fashion magazines from the 1940s and 1950s
Oh man...that strawberry dress is so pretty! I'd definitely love to see videos focusing on the magazine and cookbooks. I love those little Betty Crocker specialty cookbooks and have a few of them myself--as well as the big 1959 cookbook.
Those siamese kitties are just AMAZING! I not only have a real siamese, I have a pair of Beswick Siamese cats, they are very vintage now. I love all things siamese cats! Nice haul.
I have the same tv lamp! I inherited mine from my grandpa. I bought a light that you would use on a blow mold at Walmart for maybe $3 to fix the light feature. Great haul! I adore the Enid Collins style butterfly purse 🥰
Yes to cooking! Yes to going through the magazine! I actually have the good and easy cookbook as well - super fun :) Check out the meals on time page which is so cute, and the 3 minute fudge (though it is very sweet - you can cut the sugar way down if you like). A Vintage Vanity has a tutorial on grading patterns up to the right size in case you hadn't seen her videos yet.
This was delightful. I am really looking forward to the Muppets picnic video. I would also love to see a video on your salt and pepper shakers collection.
I have found a set of 12 of those same ice cream glasses except for the dots. We use them for peaches and cream and applesauce. I love the 80’s and 90’s cartoons. Just found strawberry shortcake and carebear material. Super excited to make skirts with them. 😃
If my mind remembers correctly, the house/farm dishes were sold at Mervyns in the 1980's. My husband and I moved from CT to CA after we married in 1986. We did not have this store in the east. I also remember someone who married in about 1988 collecting the entire set. There was a cute recipe card box that I think was wooden. Thanks for podcasting.
I found your channel while looking for some vintage inspiration for my bedroom and now I am smitten. I definitely subscribed. I love all the vintage goodness.
I thoroughly enjoyed this thrift haul! Thank you! Yes please do a series on the Betty Crocker cookbooks! That would be so much fun. I love old cookbooks too especially the 50s and 60s ones.
We had those cats growing up in my moms house, I remember my mom being mad at my sister and I for breaking them. She glued it back but it was never the same. Fast forward almost 40 years, I found the cats! At a flea market. My husband bought them for me for $35. Mine does have the bulb and cord. I love those cats! And your little cat salt shakers are adorable and that strawberry dress! Speechless! ☺️ love your videos!
If you think Lacey Fey would like that set of dishes, she may like the Platinum StarBurst pattern by Creative (Japan). I found the majority of this pattern at a thrift store and love it.
I just love thrifting; I felt like I was a friend getting to see what you found thrifting and cheering on about the cute cats, patterns, and dresses! I look forward to more hauls in the future.
That is exactly my biggest issue with thred up. Everytime I make a return I measure and tell them it was wrong. Because I'm bitter. 😂 Also, if you really want to help the environment accurate measurements would help with the returns. Lovely video. I'm excited to try some of these resources.
Omg i love that Siamese cat TV lamp haha also those farm dishes are adorable! Also, Lady Rebecca Fashions has a really good video on sizing up patterns you might find helpful. I don't know if it'd work if you have to size it up a lot but it might be worth a shot! Alternatively you could make a bodice and skirt block using your measurements and then alter the block so it matches the pattern pieces. The Closet Historian has some good videos on bodice blocks and even has a hack for doing it without all the math! Thanks for sharing your finds! :D I wish I had better thrift stores around me. I always end up frustrated and not finding much at mine : /
Excellent thrift haul! Some incredible finds... Thrifting is fairly expensive around where I live, so I found it really interesting hearing some of the prices you paid for your lovely items. So nice seeing realistic content, I adore your channel!
So your channel in general is a great channel I myself and I'm sure I speak for others when I say this your content is truly wonderful, heartfelt and inspiring. Please keep it all coming! Such wonderful finds ❤️ oh man oghh cooking out of books again love that idea ! I have a few of those metal bowls ( found out they are actually cookery and not microwave safe)
Great haul💜 side note love the mushroom earrings and dress you have on at the beginning🍄 I adore old books (I tend to gather old cookbooks when I thrift).
And by the way, back in the day, women would be embarrassed to be seen with their aprons on and most often took them off before going outside or answering the door.
As for any insults you receive about your size are from people that are not realistic about the size of the average women. They are probably bigger then you and are so brainwashed with advertising that they think they are smaller then you because they buy what advertisers tell them will make them look small.
You look absolutely beautiful in all of your dresses. As for the mess in your home. This was the norm because women were so busy that trying to keep up with cooking and feeding your family was a priority. The clean up came later. Yes when you found time between all of your busy tasks.
You are so talented and full of energy that I am totally amazed. You definitely have more energy then most homemakers or instead we should call it home lovers.
"I was going to put them back...but then I didn't!" My exact quote to my husband when I come back from thrifting/antiquing

On the Holiday SUGAR Cookie tin:: It's almost MAGICAL when the music box lid is placed n the tin and the empty container becomes the speaker!!

I am more of an 80’s nostalgia gal myself and would love a muppet cookbook. Nice find/gift.
The strawberry dress!!!! Amazing my friend!!
OMG…..the strawberry dress is strawlicious it deserves a video of its very own once you get it tailored. Nice haul, and I also love Lacy Fay!🍓🍓🍓

I remember that tv light from when I was a kid. We had it for years!
I've kept (real) Siamese cats for 34 years so I am definitely drawn to your TV lamp!
I would love to see some vintage recipes made from your old cookbooks.

Mervyns! Blast from the past! lol I worked there for Christmas season as a teen 🤭 (I still have my first high heels I got with employee discount)
Another video! I feel so spoiled right now. Thank you. 🥲♥️
Yay for thrift stores! I still have several things that I got decades ago. Love my local one, it's the best in every department 💙
That strawberry dress!! 🍓❤❤
PUH-LEASE! Make the Muppets and vintage cookbooks series a thing - it would be sooo awesome!
Love that little Beatrix Potter mug too. 😊
My Fathers Dragon is a great book. It is still used/recommended in lots of homeschool curriculums.
Love the TV lamp kitties & I'm a huge fan of old cookbooks too! You could use your seed packet fabric for kitchen curtains? Just a thought, have fun!!
My grandmother had those farm plates when I was growing up they were very cute
Please do the magazine and cooking videos. They sound so fun!
Hi Kristina, Oh gorgeous vintage haul! I love it! Everything is very beautiful! Dresses fit you so well! Thank you for sharing!
Matilda.

Great finds at amazing prices! Thrifting is favorite hobby and my husband's worst nightmare. 😂 Seriously, though, I loved all your finds. ❤️
I found your channel while looking for some vintage inspiration for my bedroom and now I am smitten. I definitely subscribed. I love all the vintage goodness.

I love your enthusiasm and creativity! Great video- just found you and am binge watching. ❤
I also collect vintage cook books! I should probably declutter some of them, though, because they are taking over my bookshelves, lol. 😅

I have been coveting that exact Lane TV lamp forever but $250 is just not in my budget. I am so jealous.
How is your septic project?
Does anyone know of a place to buy second hand fabric in NC? I sometimes see pieces of upholstery fabric, but not much of any used clothing fabric.
Thred up has return ability?
