Ptolemy was the astronomer who discovered Gemini a long time ago. SA is the astronomer who takes us in a journey through this constellation. Beautiful jam.
Finally got one myself, and it is by far the best synth I’ve ever played! You make it sound beautiful. It reminds me of all those classic romplers from the 90’s, but with a modern take. I love the sound so much.
What you touch becomes gold. There is even gold(aurum) in aural. Awesome worlds you make me enter with every video. Deep appreciation from a fellow music producer. 💜
@@entropybentwhistle. Yes, the analog drives, excellent effects, lower price … the Summit is still a bit of a beast. Being made in Germany is part of the UDO price premium, though I’ve never heard of any particular build issues with the Summit/Peak … ? 🤷🏻♂️
I have a Summit, and from the demos I’ve heard, Udo’s sound tends to lean a bit more towards a traditional analog sound character, which is a good thing in my opinion. I love the sound of this thing. I will say that the Summit is very flexible and has a huge sonic range.
The hiss is due to (for whatever reason)m UDO synths having very low output - it seems. I don't know why they designed them this way. But especially with very filtered and soft sounds like I used here, you have to basically crank the main volume ABOVE 0 db and push the VCA Envelope control close to, or even also above 0 db. But here you run into a couple of problems - you either record a fairly quiet track (resulting in the noise floor getting raised in post production) or you risk putting out a much louder signal (with the synths internal gain) and risk clipping. I would get clipping quite a bit during some tests, so I recorded a low/safe volume instead. It's my only real gripe with UDO synths and I don't understand why they designed it this way. Including a soft limiter (one that could be turned on/off as needed) in the architecture would have sorted this out.
The vibe is chill… the Thanks is grateful!

Beautiful jam.
As always, Mr. State Azure you bring THEE BEST ! Thank you sir !
wow......................stunning...................................................
Pure 90s polyphonic sound, amazing work. Shimmer doing magical things as always. Now I have the urge to go and listen to OPN.
Oh wow... this is such a rich, calming sound and a wonderful performance
A simple, comforting, and all too-short sonic drift through a mesmerizing vibrato.

Beautiful pad! So relaxing to listen to this.
Atmospheric, as always! Be happy in 2025 & always!
Nice and moody! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely chilling vibe beautiful to my ear❤
Very beautiful!!
Such immersive power and beauty
love that ultra widescreen view, Pat 👍
more importantly, of course, is the lovely improvisation... much enjoyed 🙂
❤❤❤❤❤ Beautiful...
Beautiful! Such an amazing instrument!
Well done.
Gemini is the ultimate pad machine. The high resolution oscillators and the high tech panning can fill up the whole background in a mix.
this is lush...awesome...dope...amazing...
Very nice
🤩🤩🤩🤩
me like 🙌
I also have the gemini, also the 3rd wave and I want the C15
The only New Year's resolution I made this year is to buy an UDO Super Gemini.
How would you compare its sound (UDOs in general) to that of the Summit?
Oh, I don't know really, I think they both sound really great. One doesn't really stand out to me as being better than the other.
@. I get the impression that the UDOs are brighter sounding … but otherwise, I think they sound of similar ‘quality’.
@@kierenmoore3236Seems like the Summit can get a bit more aggressive, and it doesn’t hurt you can get one for half as much money as a Gemini.

Is the hiss intentional or cable related?
