This track has a cinematic feel and a bold film score feel, very nice ... I sense myself floating on a calm fiord with glaciers on either side heading for an unknown destination with the sound of State Azure as my guide. Loving it. 👏👏👍👏👏
@@manmaas Hi, no surprises, it will always be Tangerine Dream, esp in their 70s line up of Froese, Bauman, Franke, given the equipment available back then to those guys, the sounds and rhythms they produced was amazing, and even today difficult to emulate.
@@rickl242 Tangerine Dream of course, not every one's choice, klauze Schultz being a close joint 1st. State Azure given his huge range of modern synths and racks, for me is a close second. An artist called Madis is currently running 3rd, give his track Desert Rose a listen.
Listening To This Masterpiece Has Me Tiredless In Tears! So Brilliant And Inspiring In Time I Can't Imagine How Will I Bound To It Forever! 🙏 Heavenly Made!
Absolutely amazing! One of my favorites to date! Keep adding stuff on spotify, its highly appreciated. I've got Edge of Forever on repeat since the day it was released :) It constantly amazes me how wide your range is, from dreamy space odysseys to cinematic, dark atmospheric stuff like this one. I love it all! Too bad there aren't enough hours in the day to just sit and listen to all your stuff, it releases at a staggering speed! Also, when can we get State Azure merch? I want a t-shirt!
Excellent again sir, brilliant Nordik feel at 8:50, but I cant believe there are people who have hit the thumbs down dislike, obviously very jealous folks out there, maybe they should make themselves known and explain why they dislike this as I cant see any reason why they would.
amazing stuff man, so enigmatic, that first boom at 4:30 knocked me off the chair. you should license your stuff for games and movies, it's a perfect fit.
Not Norse, I know but this recalls the darkest moments of Deadwood...mind you, I think Al Sweringen was Scandinavian! EPIC as ever, whatever it evokes!
Did you record the bitbox samples yourself or do they have a different origin? Sounds great! Very weird - this is almost exactly my setup, including the guitar in the corner and the modular case stand.
Thank you. The drum samples are from lots of different sources and sample packs. Everything else was recorded/improvised in the DAW before rendering out samples and loops for live arrangement.
For it's size I think it's a pretty amazing module considering everything it can do. I don't use it so often as I have other sequencers that do a lot of what it does, but better..I use it more as a kind of utility module if I need good MIDI to CV conversion, or CV recorder etc. In a small case like I've put it in now it's much more important though.
Completely self-taught. I started when I was a teenager, trying to copy/emulate my favourite tracks (Tangerine Dream and Jarre mostly), and eventually started to understand some of the theory this way.
it's tricky to do how I wanted, to minimise the drums at the exact point I needed the chorus to begin made for a very abrupt change, but I agree it needed thinning out during those parts. Done in a DAW this would be a piece of cake, but nobody wants to look at a DAW screen for 18 minutes! Maybe I could have thought it through better, but this is another track done in a single take with no practice. It's how I roll.
I don’t understand how this dude doesn’t have a million subs, wtf people.
We are in at the ground level, one day we will tell our friends, we knew him when he wasn't famous. Yes, truly believe this
so true !
@@rickl242 Here's my theory, he already is famous and this is just a sideline. :)
That's because the younger generations are more interested in clowns who dont do shit on UA-cam, and have billions of views and millions of subs.
@@sillyjrnvideos So true!
Woohoo 4:29 ...did not expected that. Not sure if I heard this one before. Amazing track!
Yep - how good was that? Solid but not overdone.
In Danish "Ulven´s Kæber" directly in english : " Wolf´s Jaw´" Thanx for all the beautiful music - Azure ! 😘
I love this composition. You have so much talent and I'm so glad you share it with the rest of the world. Thank you! Really inspirational.
Thanks, Peter!
Very great performance! I love the fusion of "Norse" sounds and the synths.
Just excellent. Again. Evocative, emotional... I never tire of listening to your work.
Thank you!

Ohhhhh.... the Shpongle vibes are strong in this one! Wow, it's huge!

Absolutely amazing piece of work! I really like the percussion... in the background but relentless. Love it.
I regret to this day why I couldn't find this maestro much earlier. Incredible talent mate.
For some reason, I can never get tired of these tracks.
11:59 I don’t know where this is leading me but I can’t wait to find out. Epic track.
How can something this amazing only have 511 likes out of 12,855 views?
You never cease to amaze.
Absolutely brilliant. 👍👍👍👍

This sounds like Vangelis made a soundtrack for a Viking movie. Very good work.

Reminds me a bit of Hans Zimmer. Nice. Powerful. Would not have been out of place in an LOTR battle scene either.
Epic masterpiece...i kneel in front of you and your talent ... which reverb do you use in this piece?
Strymon Big Sky and Valhalla Shimmer on some parts.
can you play it without all the pre recorded bits ?

Yes, it has a very Vangelis feel. This is a style that few people can come close to mastering yet this song does it amazingly well.

Great music, but drums are misplaced and disturb the rest! You should have minimised the drums! Then it would be just wonderful!
