- Even though most of the world has been in lockdown, we've flown to more than 30 destinations for the first time in the last few months!
So why have we been flying to all these new places when most people have been staying at home?

I had a very frustrating experience with Etihad. I had flight from Seattle to Abu Dhabi and I was informed in Seattle by American Airlines (Etihad Partners) That I can't travel with my USA passport to Abu Dhabi without a visa. After frustrating calls here and there I was able to take visa for UAE online and boarded plan for Chicago. In Chicago I was informed by Etihad airlines that my UAE visa is only valid for Dubai and not Abu Dhabi (really? every city requires a different visa? This is the strangest and funniest law that I have encountered in my entire life). I was denied boarding plane to Abu dhabi by Etihad Airlines and was stranded in Chicago airport. I demand a full refund of my entire ticket amount plus my boarding and lodging cost back to Seattle.
1. First of all, If I was not allowed to travel to Abu Dhabi with American passport why I was not informed about that when I booked the ticket.
2. If I was not allowed to fly with UAE visa why did your partner airline asked me to get UAE visa. I have name of and detail of every single person that I talked with in case you need evidence.
3. Finally, After forcing me to take UAE visa why did your partner airline flew me all the way to Chicago and stranded me there?
I, as an American citizen with valid UAE visa in my hand was denied boarding by Etihad airlines after flying me half the way and stranding me there. I would be more than happy to take this matter to US department of transportation and launch an official complaint against Etihad Airlines and it's partner, if I do not get full cash refund for my flight and compensation for boarding and longing for stranding me halfway.
Maybe say this in their support center, not on a youtube video, you just want attention

you didnt let boarding the Flight 4 hours before departure, the ticketing website agent TRAVEL2be / Travel genio Madrid , is not answering , its been 3 days. they are holding 1400 USD . their phone number is on Automated Recordings only , telling do not call cause we are busy.
Hello, I requested my ticket refund on April 7th and it’s been almost three and a half months and haven’t received even a single dollar from Etihad. I had booked two tickets for my parents and I requested a refund for both together. When I followed up on June 12the, Etihad Agent said, they processed only one refund and said they will process refund of the other ticket as well. Each time I call them I feel like I am getting fooled. Is there anyone over here who got their cancelled flights ticket price refunded? My gut says these people are not going to refund and I am thinking what steps we can take next. It’s so devastating!!!
