I quit drinking to pursue my real passion. Bath Salts.
You're swinging with the greats now.
based
I worked for a big company for years and no one ever called me out , I was always baffled. I was driving a commercial truck also,, Eventually I left that job for another, within 6 months they fired me for drinking. Been sober 8 yrs thank god.
Best of luck to you. My father battled alcoholism for a majority of his life but has been sober for 15 years now.
Man I was an alcoholic paramedic for ten years snd this was so familiar. So true about being around the negative stuff all day long and being bored on duty. Running out of sick days. Used to give myself ivs all the time.
I found this in my liked videos again, I didn’t realise it wasn’t a video with over 100k views. You deserve it, amazing story. Super interesting.
You are so brave to share your story, thankyou!! Happy to hear your sober now!!
This is terrifying to listen to.. but thanks for sharing. Had a brief dip into alcoholism and spent manyyy nights playing CoD zombies. Wonder if we ever partied together.. made it past level 50 on every map! And if you know.. you know lol. That's like 16 - 24 hours of gaming (and drinking) straight. It was fun in the moment, but did absolutely nothing for me IRL.. Glad you got off the drink.
You look a lot healthier now. Good luck to you.
Thank you for sharing this!!!! It makes me feel safe and accept my journey; you telling your story does have a serious impact:)
Honestly, I can relate to the "bored" aspect. That is my downfall. I spent the better part of 10yrs drinking enough to be a slight problem. Once I realized outside of work I'm bored as hell. Most of my family is ok with TV and games. I'm more turn the power off and let's go outside. As I lost outside/project time in exchange for a family, I'd drink to fill in the down time. Figure may as well sleep till I have work again.
Thanks for opening up about your story, inspirational. I wish you all the best and hope you stay healthy.
Love this story
Absolutely hate alcohol
About 3 years sober here
Very interesting window into the kind of life ours may unwittingly encounter, thank you for sharing your story
Your honesty is appreciated and is good for you and those hearing it. I, too, was a functioning addict for 16 years and can't believe I made it as long as I did with my job. Im sorry for what you went through and I wish you well in recovery.
granted i can only see u from the shoulders up, it looks like you are surely reaping the health benefits of sobriety. good good.. and god bless.
I knew a guy who did mushrooms for the first time while at work. He just happened to be an Air Force mechanic. Luckily, his boss gave him the rest of the day off.
I could never just have 1 drink if I wasn’t as drunk as possible after I started drinking I’d get pissed off I’m now 5 months sober
You look much healthier now. I am 23 years old and I’m an alcoholic. I have gotten drunk every night for the last 2+ years. I know I need to stop, but it’s hard to imagine going to sleep every night sober
If you can't tire yourself out at work start a gym membership. I've been in a similar boat, exhaust yourself. You'll find sleep. We all don't need meetings, half the time the ppl make you want to drink. Just remind yourself every time you want to drink. Just get through today.
They have the one day at a time thing right because sometimes you have to take one bite at a time. Wish you luck friend.
Quetiapine. Engage a Psychiatrist and get on 100mg. This will end your nightly drinking.
It will be hard for a month but then you'll get used to it and get real sleep. Go to rehab if you need to that way you're forced to
The withdrawal lasts 3-5days. It will be a rough 5days but you can do it.
It's actually the alcohol that is ruining your sleep.
I am on a recovery journey right now. 6 months clean. I'm happy situations forced me into this change. I wasn't ready to accept change at the time, but now, 6 months later, I'm grateful.
I thought officer was shooter that’s why I clicked
Well yeah, when you are the law, life sucks.
What a lonely life
When I end up making some serious dollars off crypto, would love to do some music collaboration w you
Nice, about to lose my almost 10 year career from drinking.
