    I refered to this in hopes that I hadn't messed up cutting up my model, because she already has an ungodly amount of parts, and I didn't even realize that maybe, just MAYBE I should have separated her torso at the middle and making her neck its own part. I was too focused on cutting up all fine details I wanted to animate that I forgot something so obvious

    • @KappakoChannel
      @KappakoChannel  3 роки тому +1

      I had to cut up the joints a couple times before I was satisfied with them. Try to editing your original .psd file (if you already have multiple .psd files then either consolidate them all to make it easy on yourself or just keep going, it still works) but 1 psd file is the easiest to work with. You can add and update layers in the og .psd file, and import it into your wip live2d project. Live2d will replace the files so you dont have to delete the old layer and drag the new layer into the correct deformer hierarchy.

    • @KappakoChannel
      @KappakoChannel  3 роки тому +10

      Thank you Choco! I’m just making guides to fill the gaps of all the great guides already out there. Im glad you found it helpful. I drew the line art without separating the parts, but i colored with an idea of where parts kinda are. I drew my model’s lineart in layers: body, dress, cardigan, accessories. Then colored the parts you could see. So it was easy for me to separate the clothing. I also planned out how the hair pieces would be separated before coloring them. But the elbow and knees, i had to go back and redo. I just wrote a wall of text, uh tldr separate while you are coloring? Haha just do what you feel makes sense.

      I think 16GB can easily handle that file but it would also depend on your graphics driver. If you have dedicated graphics (seperate graphics card) or integrated (you use the processor's built in graphics driver), the former will significantly work better than the latter and be faster.
      Other things that add to the file being difficult to handle for the pc would be the higher number of layers you have, if you have assets (images for example of photo bashing), if you're making time lapse of the process, it will all make your file size bigger take longer to load with each refresh, save and edit.

      Its not necessary, but eyes move and will distort all the details. Its something you need to test out yourself if you want less textures to work with. I just separated everything to be on the safe side.
