If you want a super high res model, youve a good computer that can handle that model size, youre using paid live2d, then sure keep 10000+ pixels. Its up to you. My model is 4096x4096 px and it works for me because it doesnt look pixelated when i use it for streams and zoom into my face.
@@Ihaskittay Sorry ihaskittay >< I cant advise you about yes or no, because I know nothing about computers... I chose my prebuilt desktop based on price lmao
I think 16GB can easily handle that file but it would also depend on your graphics driver. If you have dedicated graphics (seperate graphics card) or integrated (you use the processor's built in graphics driver), the former will significantly work better than the latter and be faster. Other things that add to the file being difficult to handle for the pc would be the higher number of layers you have, if you have assets (images for example of photo bashing), if you're making time lapse of the process, it will all make your file size bigger take longer to load with each refresh, save and edit.

There is no standard size for a vtuber model just make it any size you want
My model as 4 eyes , Help
bruh you're a godsend
Thanks Neondroolz
Can you draw each layer 1 by 1 instead of drawing the hole thing and then cutting it up?
Either way works. I tend to do the line art for everything first and cut up the sections while Im doing flat colors and color each section separately.
Question! If I have to Separate The eyes, should there be also separate folders for the left eye and right eye?
Yep separate left and right. You will rig one eye and copy paste it to the other when you rig it in live2d.
i just want my head for now will that be hard?
The head is the most difficult part because its the most animated. The head has 90% of the animations.
@@KappakoChannel I literally can't do this 😭 I have scoliosis and not alot of energy I'm guna have to pay someone too
@@KappakoChannel but ty for reply
@@awttygaming2510 I'm sorry to hear about your back. Most people pay to get their vtuber model made, and they turn out amazing. Good luck!
I'M STILL REALLY YOUNG BUT I'M GOING TO DO MY BEST TO LEARN ON LIVE2D😰❤️
young is the best time to learn
I got a question! What rigging software can I use for vtubing that is free? I’m broke and I can’t buy software.
Vriod studio has a free trail lol try it out
Hey hey! is there any way I can contact you to ask some questions regarding this stuff? maybe discord or something, I do animate stuff this way but u haven't done any sort of driving but i want to get into it. But i know about all that stuff about having loooots of layersmeaning a looooot more work something I'm terrible at doing too much of >_>
You can animate with Live2d too, theres mode for animation and form animation, but I havent tried it myself so I'm not sure how to animate in Live2d
So question is. . . Does it need to draw it in VTUBER artstyle??? The way it shaded too so im curious so i wont do any mistakes in the future
It doesnt have to be anime style, draw it in whatever style you like
Okay this is extremely useful, but for someone who has 0 Idea what I am doing I dont know how to actually do the separation
Haha its definitely a lot of trial and error, but you can separate it while coloring or after coloring and then fill in the overlapping parts
I wanna know how to separate a model from vroid in mobile
thank you
Thanks for watching!
OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG THANK YOU !!!!!
Are the layers supposed to overlap on the canvas, or are they supposed to be separate like a sprite sheet?
Theyre supposed to overlap in your psd file. Live2d will make a sprite sheet called texture atlus.
@@KappakoChannel sweet!! Thank you so much
what tool in photoshop do i use to separate the parts?
If you drew it in layers, just use the lasso tool. But if its a flat .jpg image, you will need to redraw a lot of the parts.
What if i already drew my model without separating the parts? is there a way to fix it without having to restart?
Uh its a hassle but its possible! You start cutting pieces and putting then on separate layers manually. With a lot of the lasso tool, erase, filling in the empty spots, its doable!
@@KappakoChannel well to late now, I saved it as an image, and the traced over it but with the right layers. Its 6am for me and it took all night. But I did it
That works too. Im glad you managed to get something to work XD
do you have to draw your own expressions?
@chestercatty1691 I believe you make your characters mouth and such open so you can move it in rigging
How did you learn to draw?
I watched some youtube tutorials and followed some deviantart tutorials, but im still learning XD
What size is your canvas to draw the model?
@@KappakoChannel omg thank you so much! I will go through all of your tutorials! They are very useful and easy to understand
@@catalinacruzsaez1633 My comment disappeared but yea 4096x4096px XD thanks Mei, good luck with your vtuber creation
what's the art app you're using?
Clip studio paint!
what about the nose????
keep the nose as a separate layer from the face
👍🏻
👍🏻
without the “ How to separate the parts of a Vtuber Model for Live2d” on the thumbnail it would’ve had much more gruesome undertones 💀
Hi! I know this is a long time ago but i have a question.
If i want to make my VTUBER have an open mouth everytime i talk, how do i do that? Do i draw it on the same art or do i draw it on a different art?
TY
youre welcome Skindizzie!
Haha I'm gonna go crazy but thanks
OKAY is a .PSD a photoshop file?
