Me : immediately checks FB marketplace for a deal 😂 Note: I had the same experience with XFX models They seem to have a very conservative fan curve. I had better luck running at a single static fan speed under gaming.
It's entirely dependent on how populated the area you're searching for these items and where the used market values tend to be. While I am aware that in some places, values like this are somewhat unrealistic, I've been able to find great deals in my area with patience, and a lot of time spent checking marketplace listings. I can assure you that the price I paid for the entire system here was $100. In fact, I believe I included a screenshot of the marketplace listing in the parts Haul video from May where I initially shared the PC
G'day UBPC, WHAT! Your not at a i9-11900K + RTX3070Ti yet? 😂😂😂😂😂 Another great video, the i5 is no longer on the parts list 🤷♂??? did it test dead😢 or just forgot about it🙄? If the i5 is still working my thought at this point would have been to get a B75 to pair with the i5-3570 + RX580 for an extra flip towards a better GPU for the R5, like a 1660/1660Ti, but understand you gotta play with the toys you have & what's available for the right price at the time you are buying. So I actually sold the CPU along with the faulty motherboard a few weeks back. I was able to sell the set more easily and for more $ than I would have if I just sold the board by itself which allowed me to stay under $100 for the first build. As for showing the frequencies in the Afteburner overlay, I thought about it but since I was only testing basic frame data I decided to keep the overlay the same for those 3 quick tests.

You can make your own fan curve with Afterburner, it has a graph to set the temp/Fan% at multiple points & can be saved in the memory slots.

I'm looking into getting a gaming pc but in my country most budget parts aren't available and I have the equivalent of under 40 dollars in my account😅
