- You join me back for another early morning high water session, this time I'm a Witches Point. I mainly targeted Small Eyed rays but by the end of the session, I ended up with a total of five species. take a look and see how I get one, thanks for watching and I'll see you on the next one.

Cracking session mate, them 3 hook clip downs doing the business, I always take a 3rd rod too incase of any issues and also an extra set of hooks out is extra chance of catching, safety is definitely important I agree the sea can be very dangerous and unpredictable people get caught alot on west pier with high tides & winds the waves come over both sides, excellent video mate

i love the circle hook, never had a deep hook up on one. and believe it or not i had a 2.9lb sole on a 5/0 circle once haha, targeting hounds
@@welder8942 that's crazy, I've had some surprising small fish take bigger circles as well. Its mad how it ends up working its way onto the hook
So these days you top anglers use circles for scratching rigs too ? And not mustad vikings etc?
@@PaulFrancis-bj6vp I hardly ever use j hooks now, find circa hooks so much more effective for most sea fishing situations
@marioasprou8548 what size circle hooks would you suggest for scratching rigs , flappers etc?
@marioasprou8548 would you always use a dongle set up with small circles on 2 , 3 hook flappers, scratching rigs or sometimes tie direct ?

Hi mate, I use the Penn fathom 15 lever drags. You do need to get them maged though
