Say hi for indonesia

Traditionally used in furniture or hanok?
Used in furniture
V shape chisel haha.
Bonjour de France ;)
👍
What could you use this joint for? I've never seen it in furniture construction. It's an awesome joint though.
Chinese influenced furniture in Asia often has a gentle crown across the width of its members. This joint allows pieces to join at 90 degrees and retain that crown with a miter effect.
What is this particular joint used in? Chair/table legs? Beautiful joint regardless. Cheers :)
What is the tool your using to set the marking gauge called? Appreciate it beautiful work.
Its the scriber gauge. Band - Matsui
This amount of skill and precision is just obscene.

Anyone else think he was measuring the leaf?
I was thinking that he should move away from the plant. Not sure what the point of that was.
It was for video focusing.

Ah, that makes sense. I suppose it would be difficult to focus without a background, like a work bench.
My wife is Korean by birth and our daughters will really enjoy this joint. I am going to attempt creating it a few times and then incorporate it into a future project. Love the craftsmanship you provided, beautiful work! Thanks for posting!!
Thank you.
3:01, my favorite moment, removing the chevron.
Please use dead blow mallets and hammers for quitter woodworking. And install some sound deadening in the workshop. Thanks
Picky, picky.
아시타니 퍼니쳐랑 엄청 비슷하네요 영상 느낌이. 누가 누구를 따라한걸까요..
Is a dozuki also a traditional korean saw? I'm pretty sure that an electric spindle mortiser isn't traditional...
electricity and youtube not traditional too.
back to the subject. how did they make this joint sturdy? glue? nails?
@@constantinosschinas4503 I've seen both. Traditionally, only glue would have been used. Fish skin glue, if I'm not mistaken. Later, nails would be added when they became available to alleviate the requirement for excellent joinery. Really good joinery of this type, with decent glue, shouldn't need nails.
I did it myself. I used Woodprix woodworking plans for this.
