Beautiful work, the grain on those drawer fronts is sublime.
It’s like he’s wearing a blanket. I have a very similar workflow…Then I watch Ishitani and I understand how these woodworkers are both great artists with their own unique style. A Joy to watch and so inspiring.
As always, as much a piece of art as it is a piece of furniture, beautiful!

Everything is beautiful. The through-mortises with the triangular front are especially nice! Love the joinery in this chest.

I love the mitered insets showing on the outer facing edges. I always thought this was the proper way to "finish" edges like this, especially if they have any rounding or surface detains that need to meet nicely at the corners.
