Wow!!! I never thought of using a stamp to slow stitch. Although someone is sending me a message because I came across a list of items to use in stitch journaling and this was a suggestion and today your video popped up with the same idea. Thank you for the demonstration and great idea!!!
I use different stitches depending on if I am stitching an outline, text, or filling in a space. Here's a video on stitching text ua-cam.com/video/r03GVGZGvSs/v-deo.html
It's a wool mat - about an 1" thick that I use for ironing. They come in many sizes, mine is about 14" square. It's great, because I can store it in a bookshelf, like a book and it doesn't take up much room. It's the perfect size for smaller pressing - like I do with tags and book pages. amzn.to/3uwTys4 Here is a smaller one on amazon - so you can see the stats on it.
Could these be used on cloth napkins? Does the ink wash out, or would it be permanent? I'm thinking a little bird on a holly branch would be very cute on the corner of a napkin.
If you like this technique, you only need one or two stamps. But, if you want more images, you can draw with a waterproof marker (Micron Pen) and then heat-set or use crayons and then heat set as well. ua-cam.com/video/96-JvqX28TA/v-deo.html
Versacraft or Versafine will work. Fabric ink is best. You can try to use a permanent ink or any inkpad you have. I think the key is the fabric ink will stay if the piece is laundered and will tend to face less. The other inks are worth a try for tags or things that arent laundered.
Thank you Daniela💕
Thank YOU!
I enjoy using stamped images, but I never thought to heat set them. Thanks. 😃❤️
Glad it was helpful.
This has inspired me to go ahead and just do it. Thanks Daniela 😊❤
That's great!! That's the first step is getting past our hesitation!
Thank you for the stamping tips!! I'm gonna try some stamping today. Hugs ❤
Have fun!

You are so welcome!
I can start my Christmas journal at my sisters house next week. She has TONS of leftover Christmas material since she was a quilter for many years. 🎉
Wow! You are so lucky! Enjoy your time with your sister and all her treasures!
I use a mouse mat to stamp on, it makes a nice base. The freezer paper is a great idea, thank you ❤
Great idea!
If you use it to slow stitch do you use a running stitch?

Baby wipes are perfect for cleaning permanent ink from stamps.
Daniela, what is that gray pad you use to protect your work surface when ironing? By the way, loved it his video 💕

Sounds like a very cute idea. The ink is permanent when heat set.
Thank you for sharing but I can’t afford all those stamps so what are your suggestions

Thank you so much. I also found your full playlist. I watched em all. Thank you
Do you have to use versacraft ink? Would my regular versamark ink work?
