okay but i never hear anyone talking about gentlemen;s cross alliance so that specifically made me happy! but i loved so many of these in middle and high school, this just made me wanna reread/rewatch them 🖤
I really liked Tokyo Mew Mew growing up but I was mostly exposed to shonen and just fell in love with those types of anime and later manga, my absolute favourites from my childhood to this day are D.Gray man and Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 (yes i know but I've only seen brotherhood once and 2003 has had my heart and been my emotional support since I was 8), also Shaman King is such a nostalgic one for me! Naruto too ofc, and later Fairy Tail
Ok, you just basically did a here's Kim's manga video! LOL, I've read everything but the first series you talk about. I still own most of them, but started reading them as an adult. Sailor Moon came out when I was a senior in high school. But love all of these too!
I just completed my Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch collection and the amount of money I had to spend because it's out of print sucked. Be happy you bought it when it was released. Also love Ultra Maniac. It was the first manga I read. Thankfully, I bought it when it was still in stock in stores.
There's 2 early 2000s manga I truly enjoyed, Karin and Beck. Karin is about a love story between a human and a vampire. Beck is the story of a group of Japanese teens who form a rock band and their struggle to fame. Both are my treasured mangas.
Tokyo Mew Mew!!!! I have read the manga in spanish - a lot of out of print in english can still be found in spanish - and I have watch the anime and it is so cute!!! My favorite manga series has got to be Higurashi no naku koro ni (higurashi when they cry). However it is absolutly not for everyone, since it has depictions of torture, violence, gore and heavy abuse. It is an incredible story about the power to overcome horrible things and how friends are needed even though sometimes we cannot see it. All that with a time loop and a small japanese village setting. Perfection. I also love The girl from the other side, ancient magus bride - which you could enjoy I think, children of the whales and tokyo ghoul among many, many other. It is so nice that someone is talking about manga and anime on here 😊
Omg yes Tokyo mew mew and mermaid melody made me wanted to be a magical girl as well, especially mermaid melody 😭 and like you i wanted to become a mermaid princess too 😭
Have you read basara? I don't think it's available in print now but it's a classic shojo and one of the most popular ones. It's a historical/action with enemies to lovers!
@@ByMadisonFox yess!! that's where i got all my previous copies. i used to have so much luck finding this specific series, but now the manga section is kinda not that great anymore :(
Aaaahhhhh seeing Kitchen Princess in this list is bringing tears to my eyes- 🥺😭
