i can not express my love for yona of the dawn mangaaa. I remember finding the first volume in my school libary after watching the anime a few months back. Since covid hit and i was in lockdown i decided to read the rest of yotd, and I literally bingeddd all 32 volumes. I ended up reading most of it online bc you know its a bit pricyy. Its a slow burn but it really is worth it, it so much more deeper than romance. It has different aspects of the war, political issues, adventure, character development. I really love all the characters and can relate to many of them in different ways. Seeing yonas character development and the desire to become stronger to learn how to fend for herself and the other was so inspiring. The storyline, the plot, the characters. Chefs kiss
I normally don’t read manga but Akatsuki no yona was so amazing that I might need to give shojo manga a chance. Especially Yona’s development and Hakyona being one of the most healthy and supportive ships I’ve encountered in animanga. Too bad that these amazing shojo stories won’t get full anime adaptations(well except for fruits basket) cause I would die for some of the scenes to get animated!

If you want to own all of High School Debut in English you are going to have to buy omnibus number 5. Volumes 14 and 15 were not printed as individual volumes by Shojo Beat, they were only included in the omnibus editions.
Some of my favorite Shoujo manga are by Kaori Yuki and Kyousuke Motomi honestly. The handful of exceptions is MARS by Fuyumi Soryo. It is my top favorite manga and I wish I could find the english manga and it wasn't out of print 😭 but some of my favorites by Kaori Yuki are The Cain Saga and Godchild. Ones by Kyousuke Motomi are Dengeki Daisy and Beast Master.

Hey I hope you get to read this I just discovered your channel, as a fellow manga lover, so take this however you like but mean well :) I went trough your video galerie and found your thumbnails really visually taxing to the eyes. Almost every video has your collection as a backdrop so there's a lot of color and shapes and that for every video. It also makes it harder to read which ever text you put on each thumbnail. to be fair your videos are about your collection so just putting a color-block behind your text could be easier on the eyes maybe its unwanted advise but also it could be appreciated

awww absolutely love all these recs and stand by all of them. i read Kyou no Kira-Kun a few months ago and it definitely got me in my feels. Omgg and seeing koizora in this vid got me so excited for the exposure since like you mentioned its not very well known. I remember reading it (& watching the movie) when I first got into manga and boy was I an emotional mess -- no spoilers. As for Ao Haru Ride, I can relate to the obsession to this series -- from collecting the artbook, bluray, postcard merch from japan etc. Whenever i reread the manga or rewatch the anime I just fall in love this series/these characters all over again.
