fender Rhoads electric piano Roland Juno 60 synth Roland chorus echo (the weird box that Nils sticks his hand in to sometimes) Electroharmonix #1 echo (the pedal on the Juno) Moog moogerfooger ring modulator (the fancy looking pedal on the Roland chorus echo) and of course the most important piece of gear: Nils also rhoads pianos are so weird, nothing really like them has been made in the last 60 years, they are like an electric guitar and a piano had an odd baby that wears synthesizer clothes. anywho cheers, i like gear
If you just close your eyes long enough, you are in pure blizz. This is the perfect combination of melody and production. And only a talent, a truly talented man, sent to earth to fill us with a beutiful abstrahation from the quiet times of our day here in 2020.
Millions of likes for commercially successful substance-less tripe, and a mere 20,000 for a masterpiece like this. World is screwed up. Thankfully there is still music like this out there for those willing to find it.
It's marketing. I've encountered some EXCELLENT musicians who don't have much of a social media presence, don't advertise their work effectively, and their online store doesn't include any hats or t-shirts when that could EASILY boost their income while also promoting their band. If you want to be a financially successful musician, you have to go beyond just music. Make some t-shirts. Build a social media presence. Promote your work and encourage people to share it. Post regular updates so that people can follow your work, and try to post regular updates.
I think the most deep, beautiful and soul-stirring music & experiences will always be far from the mainstream. They require a different level of sensitivity and consciousness!
I'd love to hear this guy play as part of a full band; or at least, what it sounds like when he manipulates drum machines as part of the act. Amazing synth and electric piano musician.
One of my favorite songs of all time. I get the distinct feeling he made this track spontaneously. Like, it came to him, and he had to play it. I'm like that too...
Amazing music! Ripped me to shreds. %) Thank U! If I flew in deep space expedition far from Earth, perhaps one way, then it's the music that I would take with me.
Man, I wish I can watch this live. I wish Iearn to play like this. How do I start? Anyone got suggestions how to go about this? It would mean the world to play like this. Talent to the maxx
Hey, since no one ever gave you an explanation, he's using a vintage synthesizer and a tape delay to lengthen and flesh out the sounds the synthesizer is creating. It takes hundreds of hours of practice with expensive vintage equipment to be able to make sounds like that
Do you want to sound cool with "as fuck"? Like in the hollywood movies? You will surely be cooler when you use words for grown up and mature people ;-)
If you play close attention, you get all the details. Fender Rhodes Seventy Three. As to which version, well, you might want to roll up your sleeves, and do some proper research.
only old instruments - full analogic setup - all parts played live - this guy is amazing ❤
It took me 7 years to find it. Thank you for this.
Same here and it’s absolutely mind blowing good !
M2
8 years for me lol

Nils Frahm makes me doubt every single thing that I have ever known to be true. Yeah, music that speaks to the soul does that.

Best demo of the Juno 60. Ever.
Alberto Chines I have a 106 but man now I need the60 just for the arpeggiator
i like the vst more

Don't forget the Rhodes piano!
XD
And the world’s biggest chorus box - and a sick delay pedal, and a moog pedal

some are better at advertising. some put their effort elsewhere. I do enjoy finding music rather than it being brought to me.
200 000 now!
Yes, screwed up, you said it well :-)
It's marketing.

... could the whole world listen to this man and be one people ...
I swear it feels like a different song every time I listen to it.
Might be the best version of this magnificent piece of art.
I'd love to hear this guy play as part of a full band; or at least, what it sounds like when he manipulates drum machines as part of the act. Amazing synth and electric piano musician.
This song just excavated emotions I’ve not felt in decades 😭 . What a cathartic piece 🙏🙏🙏
I just love him so much. A gift to music - a true artist.
Felt was an album that changed my life in more ways than I could ever express. This is extraordinary!
One of my favorite songs of all time.
I get the distinct feeling he made this track spontaneously. Like, it came to him, and he had to play it.
I'm like that too...
That crackling pad on the Juno is just exquisite!
Nils Frahm überwältigt mich immerwieder! bei jedem einzelnen durchhören, hört man wieder etwas neues raus.. und jedesmal aufs neue wird mir richtig warm von innen! unendlich schön! :)

2020 now and there's a pandemic going on, and i found you ... just in time!❤️
Just as good as the original. But even more experimental and effective.

Especially from 4:30
just GENIUS and nothing more
insane ...
This guy knows his Terry Riley and his Philip Glass.
His voice leading and textural subtlety is worlds beyond theirs, though
@@caleb_rankin It lacks the sublime expression of GG Allin, but i'll take it
@@Koettnylle had to look that up, thanks a lot
Genius x
love the live "ratcheting" on the Rhodes!
Obviously a big Brian May fan with that layered delay :) Love it :)
To infinity and beyond...

So very yeah!
Its really hard to mess up on just sharp keys lol but this is still great brought out real emotion out of these pieces of equipment. I Like it.
I spent half this video wondering why the keyboard said “Sexy Time”.
I know, I'm imagining drums at least with this and I bet it would sound amazing.
Sick!
UNITE
It reminded me Jean Michel Jarre, the French guy you made very popular keyboard electronic music, very similar to this.
Irre Fingerfertigkeit und Gefühl, Sehr Schön
I'm not crying. You're crying.
Man, I wish I can watch this live. I wish Iearn to play like this. How do I start? Anyone got suggestions how to go about this? It would mean the world to play like this. Talent to the maxx

I have seen him 12 times live and everytime is magic. Every time.
Talented as fuck
Do you want to sound cool with "as fuck"? Like in the hollywood movies? You will surely be cooler when you use words for grown up and mature people ;-)
5:12 until the end brought me to euforia 8-D

Tangerine Dream meets Boards of Canada .....BEAUTIFUL !!!
This is Nils Frahm. Not Tangerine Dream. Not Boards of Canada. Not Tangerine Dream meets Boards of Canada. Nils Frahm is Nils Frahm.
William Gardner Yeah, no....it's been 6 months and I am STILL SO FRIGGIN' PISSED!
I wish I could buy this recording.

AC Unity
Mastermind.
Perfeito
is there a piano tutorial for this?
Matt M, you could always try Sheets Eins or Sheets Zwei...
Is that a Mooger delay? What about the small box with "echo" ?
anyone know the exact model of the bottom keyboard he is using?
If you play close attention, you get all the details. Fender Rhodes Seventy Three. As to which version, well, you might want to roll up your sleeves, and do some proper research.
NOW I miss my rhodes
What song is that he plays at the start? It's not 'More', it sound more like 'For'.
FOR
On which LP can I find this song? The "more" song on the FELT LP is completely different.
I believe this version is very similar to the one on Spaces
I don't think you can. Unfortunately
The fist song Reminds me of Cosmogpny from bjork
