Mogh Lord of Blood, Regal Ancestor Spirit, God-Devouring Serpeant, Malenia Blade of Miquella, The Final Battle, Ending, Opening and ofc the titel track are all amazing tracks that you should listen to.
Now he HAS to do Dark Souls/Bloodborne. Gwyn Lord of Cinder and Soul of Cinder from Dark Souls 1 and 3 are amazing. They are Connected pieces. One is a somber piano piece and the other is a full orchestra that shares motifs. Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Eldin Ring have such MASSIVE orchestration, huge walls of sound. Amazing stuff.
totally agree, I think the best from bloodborne personally is the gascoine theme, its sadness, its madness, its huntyness.... it really reminds me of moby dick. Then theres ludwigs theme. I dont find as good but its really good in general. Ghermans theme is really good too because it invokes that, "I dont want to do this but youre making me" vibe, then there is acceptance but reluctance in the 50 sec mark that plays so beautifully. and then its a sad tugowar for the rest of the song.

This track was composed by Shoi Miyazawa. Before the game and proper credits came out, a lot of people asumed the tracks were done by Kitamura since she did the majority of the OST for the previous two games from the developer, which is where the confusion might be coming from.
You could do a whole series just on the boss soundtracks in the game...this game is nothing short of a masterpiece! Music, gameplay, world visuals are all 10/10

"The Final Battle" and "Godskin Apostle" from Elden Ring are also amazing. Also a shoutout to "Lichdragon Fortissax". From the expansion "Divine Beast Dancing Lion" is probably the best with "The Lord of Frenzied Flame" and "The Promised Consort" not far behind.

Oh boy, I knew From's pieces were going to be your wheelhouse. There is way more where that came from in their catalogue. Also funny where you mentioned "this is where it must get intense" The boss rips off his arm and grafts the head of a dragon onto the stump which comes alive and starts breathing fire. What I love about this track is that the chorus while being harmonic and melodic, is really freaking chaotic, why? because it fits the character, Godrick is a king that practiced the Grafting kind of a ritual where one merge his body with others bodyparts, at the end Godrick have many implanted arms fingers legs and stuff in his body and yoy fight a collossal amalgamation of bodies, that's why he's called Godrick "The Grafted" and his OST mirror it amazingly
What I love about this piece is the contrast between phases: the fight starts as a bit of a pompous, sinister waltz. Then that phase transition hits, the fire comes in, and the rest is much more frantic, much less dancey. The music captures this really well.

Oh heck yes! Elden Rings OST is one of the best in gaming. The Final Battle track is incredible, and theres also some from the DLC that just came out a couple of months ago that are incredible, namely Midra of the Frenzied Flame, and Consort Radahn. Starscourge Radahn is also good from the base game.
So many amazing pieces of music in Elden Ring, you could do a volume of episodes on just the amazing boss music alone. Each so striking and different in their own way. Each in the theme of each boss gives such variation, many make the hair on your neck stand up. This seems like a common mistake to make when you're making a soundtrack reaction. You have to vet channels to see whether they have good loops and endings for the tracks. But that's hard to do if you also want to make a blind reaction and don't have someone who makes good suggestions.
Highly suggest looking up footage of gameplay against these bosses as you explore the themes, as the themes help encapsulate both their personality and the nature of the battle the player is fighting. Notice that Godrick's theme is full of reverie and pride, but is twisted and strange at the same time. It's almost like a ballroom dance of the mad. Additionally, it has this quality of "lurching" to my ear, the repeated "dun, dun; dun, dun; dun, dun;" which is exactly how Godrick moves during the fight due to how heavy his heavily grafted body is. When the second phase kicks in and he makes use of a dragon's head, grafting it to his body, it opens up with the pure horror of knowing you're going to have to fight that now, and becomes far more tumultuous and threatening. While the player character is no doubt nervous about the fight about to clearly intensify, this portion of the theme also helps to show you Godrick's desperation. He's so used to being weak and helpless that he refuses to lose to a lowly Tarnished warrior like you, to the point of defiling the corpse of a creature he holds with respect.
Both Radahn osts, Godfrey/Hourah Loux, Radagon's theme, Morgott, Malenia, Messmer, Midra, Bayle, Romina r just some of the osts he could check out. And let's not forget Dark Souls and Bloodborne music.

Just some points I wanted to explain: The song slowly fades at the end because it is supposed to loop infinitely until you defeat the boss. Second, the point when you said you thought the fight was getting intense you were actually right!. Bosses in Elden Ring usually have a second phase where the battle gets more intense and the boss does something drastic, the music of the boss usually reflects that. Also I must recommend you to listen to the "Divine Beast Dancing Lion" boss music it is truly something else.
Elden Rings OST is insane. My favourites are Malenia, Bayle The Dread, and The Promised Consort. Bayle and The Promised Consort are from the DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, but overall, the soundtrack is just ridiculously top of the line.

In terms of suggestions of where to go next, a humble suggestion of mine would be a piece from the "Bravely Default" soundtrack. On november 25th 2012, the band Linked Horizon - whose leader composed the game's music - held the “A Travelogue of Luxendarc” concert in the Yokohama Arena, where they performed the soundtrack of the game accompanied by a 100 man orchestra. The track I would recommend is the live version performed during that concert, called "Serpent Devouring The Horizon". It is the song that plays during the final confrontation at the climax of the game's story and incorporates a lot of shifting tones and moods that coincide with the tide of the battle shifting back and forth in favour of our heroes. It's one of the best live performances I've witnessed (in video, I mean, I didn't attend the concert in person) of any video game music piece and should be a treat for a classical composer to disect and analyze!

If you love orchestral music in modern era, FromSoft are very into the counterpoint and lament styles for their bosses. Mainly to tell entire stories about their bosses like an opera. I do believe that Bloodborne though does use actual latin, and the soundtrack was performed and recorded live.
What an amazing soundtrack. The music is synced to the bosses and I have always loved that about souls games. Especially when they change to their second phase. So creative. It also nice to just listen to this music because during these battles it's 100% concentration on the boss. Elden Ring reuses boss themes a lot but the major boss themes are incredible.
If you liked One Winged Angel, you should look into Yoko Shimomuras works, shes done final fantasy and kingdom hearts music and I love almost every piece from her collection. Very talented composer. Darkness of the unknown would probably be something you would enjoy, as well as mysterious figure theme
it's awesome how willing you are to explore different music from different mediums. For gaming specifically the nier automata and nier replicant sound tracks stand at the top of the mountain as one of the greatest soundtracks the medium has to offer. If you're interested, try watching a video or two of people fighting the boss - unless you want to play it yourself! Watching doesn't instill the panic you feel while fighting these bosses for the first time, but it will give you a ton of appreciation for how the music is created: piecemeal, a lot of half-steps, a sort of "asymmetry" as you said.
You definitely have to check out more of Elden Ring’s soundtrack. Some of my favorite tracks are Godskin Apostle, Mohg Lord of Blood, and Divine Beast Dancing Lion. Absolutely superb scores.

From software is well known for their full choir full orchestral pieces. I would strongly suggest a few for down the road. Ludwig the accused and Dark souls 3 main theme. Both of these have been covered by other UA-cam channels similar to yours and received nothing but praise and shock.

The constant moving makes sense because Godrick is a boss made of a bunch of parts all grafted together - it's cool to see how the music ties to his character
Godrick the Grafted is my favorite track in all of Elden Ring, and there's many other amazing ones, but his music is one of the few that almost perfectly synchronizes with his fight which makes it all the more glorious. The chaotic waltz is perfect for a prince who grafts extra limbs and body parts to himself like a madman!
You're going to see a ton of suggestions for Ludwig from Bloodborne which is great and I'd also recommend, but in addition, I'd highly recommend Laurence, the First Vicar from the same game. The composers on this project often use prominent ostinatos to drive a sense of urgency as you'll hear if you listen to a few pieces from the soundtrack, but I feel the one in Laurence is used in a way you might find interesting. Some of it is subtle in the recording, so you might need to crank the volume, but I digress. Another piece from a related game I would recommend is Slave Knight Gael's theme from Dark Souls 3. Lots of cool ideas in that piece that I think you'd appreciate.

From the base game I highly recommend lichdragon fortissax, regal ancestral spirit, godskin apostles, mogh the lord of blood, as well as the title theme/radagon theme. From the DLC there are even more excellent tracks like Rellana the twin moon knight, Midra the lord of frenzied flame, and the promised consort.

You should listen to the versions that are on spotify, and, if not on spotify, search the entire game's OST on youtube. You will find either a playlist or a compilation of the officially released tracks. These fan uploaded videos always loop more than intended and/or at the wrong place in the track. If you ever read this, keep up the good work and keep exploring the game industry!
It's not an exaggeration that the potential of video games to deliver art in higher forms is substantial. In games like Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Elden Ring, the pieces themselves are made by talented professionals. The responsibility of delivering emotions through music is almost entirely on them. It can't just be an epic song, they match it to the player's experience of fighting a unique moveset, the setting of the boss should mix with the piece, and the (usually) ambiguous story of these legendary foes are elated by elements of the composition. The amount of time, effort, and focus put into the music for a boss that could take a player 5 minutes to multiple hours is respectable to say the least. There are substantial tracks across the board. I hope you explore more from these composers. They really are talented, as are your musical breakdowns. Great video!
For the engineered language good example is the OST of Nier and Nier:Automata. Good OST as well. Really like Beautiful Song and Alien Manifestation from Automata
It fades out like that because it's designed to loop indefinitely, a common feature in a lot of video game music.

Just some points I wanted to explain:
The song slowly fades at the end because it is supposed to loop infinitely until you defeat the boss.
Second, the point when you said you thought the fight was getting intense you were actually right!. Bosses in Elden Ring usually have a second phase where the battle gets more intense and the boss does something drastic, the music of the boss usually reflects that.
Also I must recommend you to listen to the "Divine Beast Dancing Lion" boss music it is truly something else.
Elden Rings OST is insane. My favourites are Malenia, Bayle The Dread, and The Promised Consort. Bayle and The Promised Consort are from the DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, but overall, the soundtrack is just ridiculously top of the line.

In terms of suggestions of where to go next, a humble suggestion of mine would be a piece from the "Bravely Default" soundtrack. On november 25th 2012, the band Linked Horizon - whose leader composed the game's music - held the “A Travelogue of Luxendarc” concert in the Yokohama Arena, where they performed the soundtrack of the game accompanied by a 100 man orchestra. The track I would recommend is the live version performed during that concert, called "Serpent Devouring The Horizon". It is the song that plays during the final confrontation at the climax of the game's story and incorporates a lot of shifting tones and moods that coincide with the tide of the battle shifting back and forth in favour of our heroes. It's one of the best live performances I've witnessed (in video, I mean, I didn't attend the concert in person) of any video game music piece and should be a treat for a classical composer to disect and analyze!

If you love orchestral music in modern era, FromSoft are very into the counterpoint and lament styles for their bosses. Mainly to tell entire stories about their bosses like an opera.
I do believe that Bloodborne though does use actual latin, and the soundtrack was performed and recorded live.
What an amazing soundtrack. The music is synced to the bosses and I have always loved that about souls games. Especially when they change to their second phase. So creative. It also nice to just listen to this music because during these battles it's 100% concentration on the boss. Elden Ring reuses boss themes a lot but the major boss themes are incredible.
If you liked One Winged Angel, you should look into Yoko Shimomuras works, shes done final fantasy and kingdom hearts music and I love almost every piece from her collection. Very talented composer. Darkness of the unknown would probably be something you would enjoy, as well as mysterious figure theme
APOCALYPSIS NOCTIS is one of her best Final Fantasy songs.
it's awesome how willing you are to explore different music from different mediums. For gaming specifically the nier automata and nier replicant sound tracks stand at the top of the mountain as one of the greatest soundtracks the medium has to offer. Would love to see your reaction to some of them.

This one is my favorite one in the base game for Elden Ring. I agree with the others in here to do Midra, Mohgs and Rykards ost as well.
If you're interested, try watching a video or two of people fighting the boss - unless you want to play it yourself! Watching doesn't instill the panic you feel while fighting these bosses for the first time, but it will give you a ton of appreciation for how the music is created: piecemeal, a lot of half-steps, a sort of "asymmetry" as you said.
You definitely have to check out more of Elden Ring’s soundtrack. Some of my favorite tracks are Godskin Apostle, Mohg Lord of Blood, and Divine Beast Dancing Lion. Absolutely superb scores.
When you get the chance you should look into the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Main theme... it helds a special place in my heart. Such a great game. Fantastic Soundtrack.

You should check Divine Beast Dancing Lion theme. Really gorgeous theme that fits the dance motiff greatly.

From software is well known for their full choir full orchestral pieces. I would strongly suggest a few for down the road. Ludwig the accused and Dark souls 3 main theme. Both of these have been covered by other UA-cam channels similar to yours and received nothing but praise and shock.
Godrick's theme is so epic, one of the best for sure. Another of my favorites pieces from Elden Ring is "Mohg, Lord of Blood." Would love to see you check that one out!

The constant moving makes sense because Godrick is a boss made of a bunch of parts all grafted together - it's cool to see how the music ties to his character

Godrick the Grafted is my favorite track in all of Elden Ring, and there's many other amazing ones, but his music is one of the few that almost perfectly synchronizes with his fight which makes it all the more glorious. The chaotic waltz is perfect for a prince who grafts extra limbs and body parts to himself like a madman!
You're going to see a ton of suggestions for Ludwig from Bloodborne which is great and I'd also recommend, but in addition, I'd highly recommend Laurence, the First Vicar from the same game. The composers on this project often use prominent ostinatos to drive a sense of urgency as you'll hear if you listen to a few pieces from the soundtrack, but I feel the one in Laurence is used in a way you might find interesting. Some of it is subtle in the recording, so you might need to crank the volume, but I digress. Another piece from a related game I would recommend is Slave Knight Gael's theme from Dark Souls 3. Lots of cool ideas in that piece that I think you'd appreciate.

There's so many good elden ring tracks you should check out! From the base game I highly recommend lichdragon fortissax, regal ancestral spirit, godskin apostles, mogh the lord of blood, as well as the title theme/radagon theme. From the DLC there are even more excellent tracks like Rellana the twin moon knight, Midra the lord of frenzied flame, and the promised consort.

You should listen to the versions that are on spotify, and, if not on spotify, search the entire game's OST on youtube. You will find either a playlist or a compilation of the officially released tracks. These fan uploaded videos always loop more than intended and/or at the wrong place in the track.

He needs to hear Divine Beast Dancing Lion and Rellana, Bayle the Dread, Midra Lord of Frenzy. So many good choices.
It's not an exaggeration that the potential of video games to deliver art in higher forms is substantial. In games like Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Elden Ring, the pieces themselves are made by talented professionals. The responsibility of delivering emotions through music is almost entirely on them. It can't just be an epic song, they match it to the player's experience of fighting a unique moveset, the setting of the boss should mix with the piece, and the (usually) ambiguous story of these legendary foes are elated by elements of the composition. The amount of time, effort, and focus put into the music for a boss that could take a player 5 minutes to multiple hours is respectable to say the least.
There are substantial tracks across the board. I hope you explore more from these composers. They really are talented, as are your musical breakdowns. Great video!
For the engineered language good example is the OST of Nier and Nier:Automata. Good OST as well. Really like Beautiful Song and Alien Manifestation from Automata
