We are taking a look at the S25 Ultra inside and out to see what changes they've made and if this phone is more repairable than their last? We found some unexpected pros and cons to owning the S25 Ultra but did they actually make it worse than the S24?

I've done a ton of research since this video has gone out on the Spen and wanted to make a mild correction regarding the detection of the Spen. Keep in mind this is all speculation.
I believe the S Pen detection system in the S25 Ultra likely uses an electromagnetic coil system, functioning as a resonance-based proximity sensor to detect interactions with the S Pen’s internal coil. While its design is similar to previous models, its repositioning to the wireless charging module and the removal of Bluetooth-related software (like Air Actions) suggest it may no longer support wireless charging. NFC wouldn’t make much sense for this purpose, as it’s typically used for data transfer, whereas an electromagnetic system is better suited for presence detection.

Can I buy it from you!!?.
S25 lacks functionality
Nice
I liked the yellow screwdriver that you used to disassemble the Samsung. Do you have the link? I would like to buy it 🥹
I really hate that they have nerfed the s-pen
They're slowly removing it.
@iamaduckquackrealistically about 80% of users never take it out, besides if you want a bigger battery thats how its gonna happen, id say they could fit 6000mah without it
@@rileymannion5301 Samsung needs to get with the times and implement silicon carbon batteries but apparently the Chinese aren't sharing the tech?
It's not a sign of s pen removal. They removed wireless charging for the pen because qi 2 interferes with it, and it's not worth reworking the mechnism because nit many people actually use the bluetooth features.

8:57 I think those scribbles are how they mark parts that have already gone through Quality Control. I might be wrong, but it makes sense.
Yeah I would agree too.
But why scribbles by hands ! Why not some sort of ink stamp or some thing more regular
@@zaki1870They're too large for a phone, also, its much easier 😅

Let's all appreciate the new method of changing out batteries. This is a game changer!
I'm really impressed at how easy those batteries are to remove, I watched a video a couple of days ago that said it was a nightmare and that they didn't recommend the phone but this guy has made it look so easy.

@Aarav_Vispute u don't have to wait 5 minutes by using a 9volt battery, but I respect your opinion.
@Aarav_Vispute ah yes...the waiting period for the stupid electrostatic adhesive battery.
Its cool and gimmicky, but its dumb af.
The Vietnamese wrote random symbols/letters on the inside of the device because the hardware would be inspected multiple times by different people. After it's inspected and approved by one of those people, they would write a letter on the hardware. By the way, The speakers on S25 Ultra are dual DLS1016E, while those on S24 Ultra are top 1016E + bottom 1014V, which means S25 Ultra sounds literally way better than S24 Ultra.

Thank you for your assistance in verifying the S Pen charger. I have recently received the S25 Ultra; however, I have decided to return it and wait for the release of the S26 Ultra
They are not gonna bring it back buddy, they want people to get over it like the removal of SD card and charger. So I'm pretty sure s26u won't have that feature or even remove the s pen completely to fit larger battery since that's what everyone wants
@@LeoJohn-ls1rl The Note series has been replaced by the Ultra series, but I believe the best feature of the Note line was the S Pen. Given that the Note series was valued for offering top tier features at a premium price, the removal of the S Pen (Blutetooth) from the Ultra lineup leaves little reason to purchase these devices. Even if only 1% of users utilize the feature, I believe it should not be removed, as it remains a key aspect of the device's appeal.
The issue with the battery can be easily addressed through the use of a power bank or charging, but the bluetooth functionality of the S Pen can only be resolved if Samsung adds it. Charging speeds are super fast in 2025, and no one raises concerns about the battery capacity, so why should we be worried about the battery?
@@yogipower1598 IKR, but the battery part people should know that s pen takes space and less room for battery, and many reviewers out there are complaining that it doesn't have a 6000mah battery and faster charging like other Chinese phones even though those charging tech is proprietary which is sucks with other types of charger not like Samsung who use universal PD charger. So i guess next year probably still has the s pen but not with Bluetooth. But idk if Samsung is kind enough to justify that >1% of people to bring Bluetooth s pen back
If anything the fold will likely adopt the spen and the ultra will get rid of it
@@jaydog77 I have been using the Note/Ultra series for a long time and, personally, I find it difficult to adjust to the folding line in the middle of the screen, which is why I prefer to stick with the Note/Ultra series.
If Samsung removes the S Pen from the Ultra series, there will no longer be a reason for the company to continue producing the Note/Ultra lineup.
The Fold series can replace the Ultra, but many people do not prefer or purchase the Fold series. This is because many users desire the best specifications without wanting a larger screen or heavier device. However, if users were able to purchase additional accessories to customize their experience, I believe the complaints from Ultra users would be greatly reduced. We must not forget the reason why the Note series was so popular in the first place.
1:52 it actually doesn't require a sim card to setup. I know because i just setup this phone without a sim card. You can activate an esim afterwards and never bother with a simcard.

that spen wireless nfc coil is actually a wireless charger for spen, you see windows syluses and wacom styluses as well as external spens also have battery so this built in one has capacitors which gets charged via that mini coil
Rip to the sharp corners 😢
06:30 The detection of the SPen's insertion state is done by a small flap in the SPen shaft. When the pen is inserted, this flap is pushed to the side, signaling to the phone that the pen is inserted.
so why did it work just by distancing / approaching the coil?
I'm here for the cursed Korean dubbing🤣🤣 I appreciate it though

Last year, my Samsung S22 Ultra suffered water damage through the camera cover because the seal had worn out and no longer stuck properly. A few weeks ago, my screen also developed a green line. Hoping for a better design, I pre-ordered the S25 Ultra as my new phone. However, after watching this video, I’m very disappointed to see that the camera cover remains unchanged, meaning I might face the same issue again.
I have never had that issue and I stand in the rain alot so I dont understand how you got that issue to he honest 😂 I never had that with any Samsung phone and I have owned a lot. I work outside everyday and it rains here a lot

By the way, I’ve been a Samsung user since the Galaxy S2, followed by the Note 3, Note 8, Note 10, and S22 Ultra, and now I’m getting the S25 Ultra. I never expected to experience water leakage issues like I did with my S22 Ultra.

Samsung's S25 Ultra-same old phone with a dash of AI. Get well soon dude.
Thank you!
Honestly, the new CPU is a definite upgrade. But no SD slot like a A55. Ya'know... the highly rated $300 phone.
Any magsafe cover will have that fast charging indication? Or is it only spigen cover?
Personally I dont care for AI. It barely changes my life and feels underdeveloped even after several years.
The fact that the processor can handle AI locally and efficiently makes it more future proof for AI features even if the software atill sucks

Samsung Ultra 24 and 25 both have E-Sims, I've never had to insert a SIM to activate with my provider. I feel the statement might be incorrect, or carrier specific.

The camera lens are not bigger, but that one you received has pre installed lens protectors that you can pop off. Also, those markings/scribbles are qc marks.
They aren’t pre installed lens protectors 😂 they are part of the design.

I'm still in love with the S24 Ultra.
Also my S24 Ultra doesn't like those Qi2 cases, it gets pretty warm when charging.
WARNING!!! PHONES CAN MAKE CALLS!!!
