Surprised this thing takes more than a thimble full of fluid xD. I have to say I much prefer when they put the drain and fill near each other, can't go wrong with "keep pouring until it starts to come out the fill port"

Red Line is pretty good stuff man I’d love to run it as engine oil but it’s dang expensive I could probably go to longer intervals versus running mobil 1, The junior college I went to my auto motive teacher was an old timer and his best friend started redline out of Benicia California ,our shop teacher had an early 80s El Camino with 500,000 miles on the engine I kid you not!

question #1... Is the process similar w/a 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5L... question #2 ... what gear oil would be best? Thank You for your great channel ✌️😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Fluid looked pretty clean. Do you oil the drain bolt after cleaning it, before you reinstall it? Or is there enough oil left in the threads of the drain port?

Hey man, great videos. Your reply to my other comment with the links to the service manual were super helpful. I got the sambar running again off of it. It does seem quite down on power and its totally possible that I have the carb tuned wrong but what do you find the top speed to be? I seem to only be around 60kph in 4th gear. And its revving out in 1 and 2 without having much torque at all. I know it's just a little 660cc but the truck barely weighs anything and it does seem to be down on power. I was thinking it might be possible the clutch is slipping too but want to make sure the engine is running properly first. Got any tips on tuning the carb that minitrucks channel didn't go over yet?

Subaru P/N 803920010 (available at US dealerships). I didn't actually measure it, but most of the Subaru part sites indicate this is 20.5mm internal diameter, 26mm external diameter, and 1.5mm thick. It's an aluminum crush washer.
This should also be the same washers needed for the differential.

So let's say theoretically that I replaced mine on a slight incline with the rear down. Is there going to be much of an issue other than the fluid being a little higher than factory specs?
