About Me
Hi! My name is Jenn! I started this channel in April of 2018 to meet bookish-minded people and be nerdy with them. I make new videos every week. I live in Fargo, ND and it is a wasteland. Booktube is how I connect and make new friends.
Thanks so much for watching!
XOXO,
Jenn

Stockholm syndrome is honestly my guilty pleasure trope..because it honestly has all those elements I love: dark romance, hate to love & often times, my favourite, the mafia lol. I used to read a lot of them on fictionpress when I just got into reading, I haven't found any published ones I like tho so I'm grateful for this video 🙏😊😊
Twisted pride is everyrhing and yes Cora needs to do 2nd book for Remo & Saraffina.
Twist me series aww my God where do i begin. A must read Julian is the best.
Captor/Captive is my favorite dark romance trope. Definitely my guilty pleasure.
This is my favorite “guilty pleasure” trope. ♥️🌿
I read sweet temptation by Cora Riley and loved it! I can’t wait to read her other mafia books!!:)
I’ve read Twist Me, it’s DARK. But now I feel better about how I’ll feel about the other books in this video. 😆 I really enjoyed the first two Game Maker books.
Yes yes yes! Love that series
The Twist Me is a great book. Love it
Yeah it is😍 i need another book like that😭
Beast (Twisted Ever After) By A Zavarelli is a good quick captor/captive book, it has some knife play and obvious s/a but I loved it
The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Meridos was my first of this trope and one of my favorites. The Kiss Theif by LJShen is a good mafia one too.
I never thought I would be into captive/captor but I really liked Desperate Measures by Katee Robert for that reason. And I also liked a captive/captor situation from the Maiden lane series. They introduce the characters in book one, and then continue the story in book 3. It's pretty tame in comparison to this list though. I also am super interested in Sea of Ruin!
It was so good! This trope kind of snuck up on me. But it is dark and awesome.
“ Twisted pride” by Cora Reilly is my favourite captor/captive romance of all time.
Glad to have found your channel. Having read just one real romance book in my life, I know not much about the genre. I'm looking forward to watching your content on it.
I am bumping up The Master, Sordid, and The Twist Me trilogy on my TBR! Can’t wait! Thank you for this video Jenn!!
I'm so glad! It does have a certain appeal!
I highly recommend Comfort Food and Wanderlust
Comfort Food is a book I've read many years ago and I still think about it sometimes. Such a good book
I’m so excited for this video. This is one of my favorite type of book!!!!!
Thank you for your brilliant video! It is so refreshing to see a book tuber reviewing these type of books and you provide fabulous information without giving the plot away xx
The Twist Me series has been on my TBR for YEEEEEAAARSSSSS!!!!
It is dark and mental, and awesome.
Just ordered twist me lol.
When I saw this title the first book that came to my mind was Lucy Christopher's Stolen. Not really heavy on the romance but I still think of that book to this day.
Gosh if you think those are dark.. please read captive in the dark by c.j Roberts- it's one darkkkkkk romance
Yes! Its already on my kindle! Got quite a few recs after the release of 365 Days!!
Uuuuh, this is such an interesting trope!! thank you for making a video about this!
The Master, one of my favorite books. I would recommend Call the Coroner By: Avril Ashton about a man wanting vengeance on his wife’s killer, the man that nearly killed him too. He kidnaps him and in a twist of fate they fall in love.
Wow! That sounds awesome!!
Great video! I highly recommend one of my favorite historicals that would also fall into this category and that’s The Conqueror by Brenda Joyce. I have searched high and low looking for something similar. Like you and so many others, I adore Judith McNaught’s historicals. Have you read Whitney, My Love? I’m sure you have. Love it. Unfortunately, I have a hard time finding contemporary romance that I feel is well written and holds my attn. So many seem to have a lot of “filler” dialogue or is loaded w/ unnecessary cussing (I cuss like a sailor but in a book, it needs to fit) or the writing is just plain bad. I read a Cora Reilly- Bound by Honor- a couple of years ago, and I just didn’t enjoy. :( Some contemps that I did enjoy are Beautiful Disaster (an oldie I know), Gabriel’s Inferno trilogy (another oldie), In Flight trilogy and of course, The Travises by the incomparable Lisa Kleypas. I’m considering giving Sea of Ruin a try, though!
Anna Zaires is one of my favorite authors. I haven't read Twist Me. I've read Capture Me and Tormentor Mine.
Loved the Capture Me & Tormentor Mine series, check out Twist Me love the fact that all 3 series tie together, have you read Darker Than Love?
Tormentor mine is one of my favorite
Loved Kingdom of Dreams! Wish I could find a writer as Wonderful as McNaught
I really a kingdom of dreams !
I'm a bit new to dark romances. They don't seem nearly as dark as I expected... I'm surprised...
lol me admiring your Nikita dvd in the background... such a great series.... anyways, onto the actual books....
I absolutely like it when the girl is all afraid of the man, please recommend me something like that
I recommend reading the proceeding series after the twist me series that takes place in the same universe if you haven't already (capture me series and tormenter mine series)
I loved all three series but omggggg the tormentor mine series is perfection!
So, I have read the first one, and I wasn't too into it. But when I reread Twist me, maybe I'll just continue on this time.
@@danyyyyyyyy Tormentor mine series is 1 of my favorite too loved all 3 series have read Darker than Love about Yan peter's team mate?
I've read all 3 series including darker than love have all of them on my shelf & in audiobook .
Love your videos! I have to recommend again Captive by RJ Lewis. Dark and romantic and the most unique captor/captive book I have ever read.
Twisted Pride and Tormentor mine are my favorite
Please recommend more books like the last two in this video.
I recommend an oldie but goodie this book has it all captivity, age gap and it’s pretty dark “Devils Embrace” Catherine Coulter Book 2 Devils Daughter was just as great.
One of my faves!
I'm team kaira and nino 🤣 even tho i love remo and fena
😂i was like Jenn is hitting us with the husky sexy voice today!
I’m standing by for an IGNORANT COMMENT on this video 🤜🏽🤜🏽🤜🏽🤜🏽🤜🏽🤜🏽to whom it may concern:keep it to YOURSELF
I will keep that in mind! so far everyone has been super good. But I will point them to you if they have any hate!
I need a captive/captor book where the woman is the captor and she is a tall, strong, gorgeous woman who kidnapped a nice guy to turn into her huaband
Read the Twist Me trilogy 3 years ago loved it I actually have the paperbacks with the red covers they're goreous , also have read the capture me & Tormentor mine series too got all of them on my shelf love the covers for all of them ,check out the others Lucas from capture me & Peter from Tormentor mine are definitely different from Julian I liked Julian Lucas and Peter for different reasons.

You check out Mia Knight! I can’t rave about her enough.

Can you please spoil the end
Yaaaaaaay!!!! ❤️
Great video. I enjoy how you just put it out there. I was wondering if there is any redemption in Sordid. I’ve not read it but put it in my TBR. TFS😀👍🏼🌟
Um... not really. Its more of coming to understand the man better. And learning all of his motives. But he's not a good guy.
